You see politicians? Enemies in the day, friends in the night. That is why they say 'no permanent friends, no permanent enemies, but permanent interests'. However danger lies ahead for Fayose. He will only be lucky when @atiku becomes president. |
This has been an issue of debate since Abubakar Atiku indicated his desire to contest once again for the highest office in the land. I do not believe that he will loot and my reasons are clear: - At age 72 he will try to make the future better for the generations after him and this is his last opportunity. - He is already a man of immense wealth. He is one of the wealthiest people in Africa. Just like Donald Trump, he will only expect the benefits that are due to his office. - He knows that all eyes are in him now so he needs great care. - If he loots and allows others what will be left of this country after his time? - If he looted before he will no longer do it. - Where does president Buhari get all the money for his medicare abroad? Did he not tell us that he did not have ant money at the beginning? Even the president chops tax payers money. |
We were promised change in 2015. We expected change and we got change. What changed? 1. Exchange rate from 192 to 365 per dollar after falling from 515 to the dollar. 2. Body language. 3. Price of rice to 20,000 naira from 8,000 naira. 4. Price of all food items increased. 5. Price of fuel from 87 to 145 after promising to reduce to 45 naira. 6. Herdsmen everywhere killing innocent people. 7. Miyetti Allah cattle rearers started addressing world press conferences and appearing on AIT, Channels, etc. 8. Six months without ministerial appointments. 9. Witch hunting of opposition. 10. More Lai(s). 11. Over one year out of three years spent by president for treatment abroad after promising to abolish medical tourism. 12. Stage managed Dapchi girls return. 13. Well organised return to office by Maina. 14. Vote buying at the polling centers. 15. Going from the largest GDP in Africa to one of the poorest nations in the world. 16. Clueless leadership. 17. Worse electricity situation. 18. More hardship, poverty and suffering in the land. 19. Nepotism, hatred and more killings everyday. 20. Court orders disobeyed. 21. Impunity and forceful imposition of individuals on others. This certainly was not the change that we wanted. We wanted better life. We did not want to see our youths taking the risks that killed and maimed them across the meditteranean. Now they are asking us to vote them in so that we can get more change. Remember that Patience Jonathan once said 'na only person when get headache na him dey drink APC'. Me I no get any headache. Therefore any power anywhere assigned to cause change part 2 in this country I reject you totally! Owners of evil load carry your load and go! |
The PDP had enough time to address their issues, plead for forgiveness, re assemble old members (except Sheriff/Cairo the moles), recover lost grounds, bring back old military leaders, reposition themselves and get a solid presidential candidate out of a very intimidating pack. APC on the other hand the ruling party with all the time, playing the ostrich (pretending to bury its head in the sand while its entire back is showing), organising bad congresses, factions everywhere, losing very important members to the PDP, after three years still singing the old and deceptive song of 16 wasted years, affirmation of one man under bewitched conditions, not able to move to the next level, already lost Zamfara state before the elections, almost losing Rivers and Imo states (3-0 down), with the worst party chairman ever who thinks he knows everything and cannot differentiate between unionism and political matters, thinks removing khaki shorts and shirts for agbada means you know all about politics. |
senatordave1:Wrong bro. Gombe is a PDP state with the governor and most members of the assembly. You can check confirm it. |
Lesgupnigeria:Look the so called herdsmen took advantage of careless words and sponsorship of people like El Rufai to begin a move of securing lands nationwide for themselves. They took advantage of a silent president and started addressing world press conferences. They took advantage of a government that refused to address them as terrorists. Have you not wondered why they are suddenly quiet? Do you not see that election is just around the corner? Their ogas have asked them to be calm for now. People like El Rufai must be voted out and have their heads checked. |
People say this country has not moved forward. I agree. However if we have failed in infrastructure, human capital and economic development, we are progressing in two - THE CARD READER AND THE PERMANENT VOTERS CARD. My confidence and my voter's power lie there. What should I know? 1. Register and get a PVC. 2 Look out for my name on the list at the polling center. 3. Know and trust the person I intend to support 4. Get to the polling unit early 5. Ensure that I vote out Lai(rs), people with fake promises of improved light, housing, fuel, medical tourism, poor health facilities, insecurity in the country, nepotism, looting Abacha money in the name of social intervention programme, etc. That is what bewitched people are facing now. 6. Have peace of mind and sleep well. 7. Your vote is your power. What should I watch out for? 1. Party agents who want me to sell my vote to them and remain in bondage like in Ekiti & Osun. 2. Security men out to intimidate. 3. Coming out late to polling center. 4. Ensure my PVC is not defaced. 5. Store my PVC in a safe place. 6. Impatience at the polling center. 7. Desperate evil leaders who want to remain in power. My expectation as a voter: 1. A better country 2. A safer country 3. Better economy 4. Better health care system 5. Improved economy 6. Better infrastructure 7. Brighter future for our children 8. Improved light 9. Better roads 10. Improved education system Everybody please wake up. Be wiser. Do not be decieved or bewitched anymore. Please use the opportunity of 2019 to correct the error of 2015. Do not allow the suffering, badluck and hardship in the land to continue. They gave us the card reader and voters card as our instrument to reward them for either their good or evil leadership. Ensure that the yeye people are shown the way out in 2019. |
All of a sudden we started to hear about the rejection of Ambode by the political class of Lagos state. We heard of his sins and his failed efforts to have his sins blotted away. However it had become too late for him to remedy. Sanwo Olu was voted in by the same party. Buhari had tried unsuccessfully several times to become the president. He belonged to a regional party called the CPC. Nigerians loved the Jonathan humility story of how he went to school barefooted and overwelmingly voted for him in 2011. Buhari re strategized and joined a coalition with other political groups and powers to form the APC. In the meantime our dear Jonathan was busy fumbling and not performing. His sins were compiled and he was voted out. Buhari gave us the story and image of a man of intergrity. How he performed with Idiagbon, etc. Nigerians were hoodwinked to believe the several fabled stories ( that men give to their wives on the bed just to have their way) and today we are where we are: 1. Among the poorest countries in the world. 2. Increase in fuel prices yet subsidy remains. 3. Recession. 4. Greater propensity to loot. 5. Vote buying. 6. Herdsmen. 7. Loss of trust and confidence. 8. Medical tourism by the president while healthcare gets worse by the day. 9. When the vice president presides there is peace but when the president returns wahala resumes. 10. Nepotism. 11. Family/dynasty business. 12. Failed promises. With the above very clear sins is it not proper that our president should just serve this term which like Ambode should turn out to be his last? After all he served for close to two years between dec 31. 1983 and august 1985. Jonathan did the same between 2009 and 2011 before he got 4 years to add. If APC members were bewitched to accent to another 4 years, should the other parties and Nigerians in general allow themselves to be bewitched again? |
sarrki:So what did he steal from you? Or what crime did he commit to someone else that you know of? Does he no longer have a right of choice because of his position as a Pastor? Do you expect him to be silent while things go wrong around him? As you use this forum to discuss issues without the opportunity to speak face to face to people in power, do you not expect people like him in the right positions to speak? |
Evidence of indictment and the fall out of it is imprisonment. Atiku has been in this country sll these years. He has travelled extensively all these years yet he has not been detained by the police for one day not to talk of securing a judgment against him and jailing him. I think there should be less talk and more action. Atiku clearly stated that if Buhari found any crime against him he would have been jailed. I believe that now security agencies are scouring through many things to find some negative records. Under the watch of our intergrity president, we have witnessed vote buying in Ekiti and Osun state. How on earth did Kayode Fayemi/APC muster the finance used to remove a sitting PDP? Who will probe the source? While PDP was giving 3,000 at the polling units, APC gave 5,000. In Osun state we say APC losing. At the final poll how much did APC spend? Who will probe the source? None. The reason is because the fight against corruption is corrupted on its own and has failed the intergrity test. Percieved opponents are hounded everyday, oppresed and silenced so that we can have only one party. What constitutes intergrity? Is it only when you do not accept bribes? If the people who sorround you fail the test under your watch, can you rightly claim innocence? We are in trouble with this APC and their lack of tolerance. Look at most of their states and their states and their primaries. Ojoro everywhere. Abeg joo. |
This APC matter we are tired. Two negative judgements in Zamfara and Rivers. In Zamfara no election in 2019 for them and now Rivers. Hopefully it can be the same with the president's in 2019 so that we can have some peace of mind from these destructive party. |
jumpandpas:In 1999 Obasanjo needed Atiku who was the head of the PDM, which was the political machine of Yaradua. Still was the most formidable of all the choices for VP then. The PDM was the most potent power of the groups that made up the PDP. All the concocted stories of Obasanjo were to pay Atiku back for the events of 2003 leading to the election. In politics there are only permanent interests. Obasanjo is only being vindictive and ungrateful to Atiku who helped him become president in 1999. |
donphilopus:Brother this your analysis na wah. So PDP and other parties will just be watching while APC have a walk over? Sorry it will not be so. You need to realise that Atiku is a very popular candidate. In 1999 he won the governorship seat of Adamawa state while he was the leader of the famed Yaradua political machine called the PDM. Because of his wide acceptance he was chosen over other formidable men by the PDP to become the vice president. He retained his popularity even though Obasanjo forced him to leave the PDP - a house he helped to build. It took Buhari 16 years of attempting. He lost hope in 2011 and decided not to try anymore. By a stroke of fate a popular candidate in 2011 called Jonathan threw away his advantage and Buhari became popular. Buhari's popularity became widely accepted by the joint coalition forces of the CPC, ACN, APGA and a breakaway factory of PDP. If he went solo on CPC Buhari would never have won the seat as all those parties were regional parties then. As a military head of state he won the admiration of many people including myself between december 31, 1983 and august 1985, when he was overthrown. His war against indiscipline helped in fixing some of the social rascality we were facing then. But there was one observation then which is repeating itself today - HARDSHIP IN THE LAND. Today the reality is that Buhari has lost the goodwill of a lot of people with his bad policies, body language, nepotism, failed promises, medical tourism, fake war against corruption. Many have seen through the smokescreen and walked away, including me. A critical analysis will show you that today with the introduction of the card reader, coupled with electoral reforms, voter education, new parties, etc, the so called landslide will no longer be there for any of the parties. Under this present administration, a dangerous game called vote buying has been introduced by all politicians. In 2019, the president himself will benefit from it. Money at the polling centers will definitely influence people. Who pays more wins more as we now see and know. We saw it in Ekiti and Osun states. From all votes counted did you find any landslide by any of the parties? No. You may recollect now that we have other political parties like the APGA, SDP, ADC, ADP, UDP, GREEN PARTY in Bauchi and Sokoto. If they do not win seats, they will narrow the votes. Even at that they are certain to win seats everywhere. APC cannot claim any landslide in Lagos as it stands. Now they have their own areas just like the PDP. Now the north central is no longer an APC stronghold. Taraba, Kwara are PDP. Battle zones remain Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Nassarawa with the PDP having the upper hand in Benue and Plateau now. In the core north Tambuwal has broken APC votes in Sokoto. Zamfara, the travelling governor is not popular, Kwankanso has broken Kano, Hunkuyi etc have broken Kaduna, Buhari has Katsina, Kebbi, Bornu & Yobe. He will lose Bauchi and Adamawa. Except in Edo state which impact will APC make in Bayeslsa, Delta, Cross river? Even with Akpabio it is PDP in Akwa Ibom. APC hope is Rivers state which may even erupt into a war by the combatants there. Now to the south east. If the PDP present an Igbo vice president with an assured Igbo presidency after Atiku what do you expect? PDP will have its way in Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi. APGA already has Anambra and will snatch Imo back from APC. Conclusively for me it is not about Buhari or Atiku. I do not wish any of them to win. I just wish for a sound young man or woman, very patriotic, highly discplined, of great character, with fairness to move this country forward. God bless you all. |
HungerBAD:Surely he is not better and cannot defeat James Manager. The truth about APC in Delta state is that all the agents know that Delta belongs to PDP. They want to make some money only for themselves. Most of their agents will surrender to PDP at the polling units. Also APC has made the mistake of fielding Ogboru, an Urhobo man, instead of Ochei/Utomi, etc, who are from the Delta north. It is their turn until 2023. The Urhobos had their turn under Ibori, the Itsekiri/Urhobo under Uduaghan until 2015 and now Okowa until 2023. |
blog4all:Simply do what others did. Na by force to remain with APC. Your mates decamped. Join them. |
Which past is the great Lai(r) talking about? So all the years Atiku was with ACN and then APC there was no sordid corruption laden past? How come now that Atiku has become the PDP presidential candidate the so called sordid corruption laden past has come up? For the information of this minister a lot of people think the so called "sordid corruption laden past" is better than the present that Nigeria is with APC. With this present APC government does Nigeria have a future? In the past three and half years of this administration Nigeria has ranked among the poorest nations in the world. Corruption has taken several shapes and has become even worse with this government. Propaganda has not stopped. What good is there to write home about the present government? All promises have failed. Abeg the Liar carry tell your lies to those who do not know. |
edurach:Even if there was vote buying what is the problem of APC? Under the government of our Mr. Intergrity president APC bought votes in Ekiti and Osun states. All APC primary elections were characterized with vote buying also. This is a new system introduced under this present dispensation. Will APC not buy votes during the elections of 2019? Can they truly now claim that there are richer people in PDP than APC? Will the president not spend money at the voting centers to try and retain his office? Who will probe him? Abeg make we hear word. |
Is this not the man who threatened to expose Jonathan? He failed the first test. So nobody even know the man at the APC headquarters. Na waoh. |
Klinee:That is a very wrong statement bro. Living with them does not translating to being them! All Igbos irrespective of state are the same. Okonjo Iweala is from Ogwashi Uku, an Igbo speaking town in Delta state where her father, a professor is the king of the town. Her husband is from Abia state and she speaks Igbo fluently. If she becomes Atiku's running mate then she is the joker PDP requires in the political game of defeating APC. Her record remains unblemished. EFCC searched her records several times and found nothing incriminating against her - you can confirm. Buhari made an approach to her - you can confirm again too. The truth is that irrespective of party affiliations or tribal sentiments we need great and committed men and women who will move this country forward. |
You forgot to mention electricity which runs 24/7 and guaranteed pipe borne water 24/7. They are metered and widely accepted. We have a long way to go in this country because of corruption. |
He missed his chance in 1998. Now he is in a party that we know nothing about. |
Seeing the role money mmmMplayed in Ekiti and Osun states, one can safely conclude thay even the president through his men will buy votes. How much will he be ready to pay each voter? PDP also spent huge sums buying voters. Will you sell your own votes to the highest bidder if you get the opportunity next year? What if someone offers you 5,000 US dollars as we heard at the PDP convention in Port harcourt? |
After APC defeated PDP in 2015 we were told how PDP looted the treasury dry and caused the problems with the economy. We were told how PDP and Jonathan spent so much money during the election and APC spend good will. The fallout was the arrest of PDP members everywhere. We were never informed how much APC spent to remove a sitting president. We were told about the intergrity of our president and so on and that intergrity story still goes on. My questions centers on the fight against corruption with regards to the 2019 election. Under this government election matters took a different dimension with vote buying publicly by politicians. INEC according to them are trying to stop it. In Ekiti state we witnessed APC spending more than PDP at the voting centers. The same repeated in Osun state even though they tried to tell that it was not visible. Can the president honestly say that he is not aware? Why have we seen agents arrested without the mention of the names of their masters? We all saw clearly agents of politicians inducing voters with money. Even in the primaries we have seen candidates giving delegates money. Will the president buy votes or not in 2019? Will he continue to maintain his intergrity story in 2019 seeing the resurgence of PDP? If he maintains his intergrity story and his political associates buy votes on his behalf can it not be called corruption? Will he not be called a beneficiary of corruption? Who will check the election expenses of the president and vice in 2019? After the election of 2019 if he wins can he swear that he did not pay for votes even in his home state? If he finds out that his associates paid for his votes will he have them arrested or simply resign out of his intergrity? What will be the story next year? Will he ensure that EFCC arrest APC governors next year who are perceived to have bought their positions with money? It is very clear to all that APC governors and candidates are very wealthy. Who will arrest them and check their expenses next year? I hope we can have answers to these questions. There is God O. |
chidima2019:By the way does she want to die there? Does the seat belong to her household? Why is she crying so much? Her husband is the commissioner/attorney general of Delta state. Shamelessly she has gone public informing us of the amount used to bribe delegates to vote for them. She is very surely a sore loser. There are others who are interested in that seat too! Ned Nwoko was there, the same Elumelu was there before her. The woman must know that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Now she should go back home and enjoy the money she made while in the house of representatives. |
Thexemplaryblog:After buying the items how can we prepare? |
Limitednow:This clearly shows that without dropping the name of Buhari, El Rufai cannot win in Kaduna state. He rode on the back of Atiku to get to the level he got and jumped ship to Buhari after using Atiku's name. Without Buhari's name the man will not go anywhere. |
Gboy101:Do you think Epe will vote APC now that their illustrous son has been forcefully removed? Do you forget the cosmopolitan nature of Lagos? Do not forget that practically all major tribes in Nigeria have their people in Lagos and this includes supporters of APC, PDP and other opposition parties? From the Osun experience you will find that other parties like SDP, ADP and ADC have risen and they have their candidates in Lagos. It translates to the fact that plenty of the votes of APC and PDP will go to the other parties. It will not be easy anymore like before. For me I think the best person who should move Lagos to the next level should win irrespective of the political party. |
If PDP defeats APC in 2019 will Jimoh Moshood get to the next rank in the police force? |
AdiDami:Have you ever thought about palm oil? |
namedo:Has anybody tried this? If so what was the outcome? |
Very pathetic indeed. Very sorry about this incident. However I must ask if the writer is sure that the church was ordered by the court to pay the sum of 360,000 Euros. Spain is not Nigeria where court orders are not respected. If the church was ordered to pay that amount in Spain, the court there would ensure compliance immediately. Dr. Olukoya himself will never hear such a sad occurence and never do something about it. I sincerely hope the writer's facts are credible. |
Recently it has been said several times that the rift between governor Ambode and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has to do with the failure of Ambode to give Bola Tinubu his financial due as his godfather. Going by our politics in Nigeria we it is not a hidden fact that for one to get a political position, one has to fulfil certain conditions which may include presenting some amount of money, doing fetish things; etc. Failure to settle the godfather after getting the position will lead to massive disagreements and potential benching of the political son. A clear example is Ngige and Christian Ubah in Amanbra state. Ubah did not hide the nature of their agreement and Ngige repeatedly told us how much Ubah wanted from the state account monthly. We know that Bola Tinubu used his power as the godfather of ACN and eventually APC in Lagos to get his wife the senate seat she presently occupies. In this ongoing disagreement between Tinubu and Ambode some thoughts have come to my mind about Senator Remi Tinubu: 1. To secure the seat she presently occupies what were the agreements enterred into between her and her husband guaranteeing her the seat while he remains the godfather in Lagos? 2. In a state where there is a godfather, do the political office holders settle the godfather to keep their seats? Now that her husband is the godfather does Senator Remi Tinubu settle her husband to guarantee her seat? If so where is the evidence? 3. Is there no other person who can represent Lagos in that senatorial zone and who can do better than her? 4. Going by the fact that her Asiwaju Tinubu is the godfather, how long will she remain in the senate? 5. Are the seats of other senators in Lagos state safe and secure like that of Mrs. Tinubu considering that there are other interested aspirants within the APC? 6. If it is true that the inability of the godson to fully 'settle' the godfather will lead to his removal, then what will happen if Mrs. Tinubu refuses to 'settle' her own godfather? 7. Just like Sanwo-Olu has been empowered by the godfather - Tinubu - to challenge and remove a sitting governor, can any aspirant challenge Mrs. Tinubu over her own senatorial seat in that same party while the godfather still reigns? 8. How can we rate the performance of Mrs. Tinubu as a senator? If she does not do well do her constituents have any right to try to complain and remove her? 9. How does she settle her godfather? Is it in cash or in kind, seeing that her godfather is her husband and the two of them and their family is already super rich? Sincerely I know that in all these Nigerians are losers particularly those at the bottom of the ladder who have to do all the work, queueing up to votes either in the delegate system or the direct primaries with 1000 naira in their pockets and sell their birthrights. We must begin to wake up from our slumber and look in the face of some of our political office holders and the so called godfathers with a clear demand for accountability. A man who had no office, shop or how much more a factory suddenly goes from nothing to uncommon wealth must be held to account. A leader who misuses power given to him by the people must be held accountable. Democracy does not demand that the godfather should remove a performing office holder who tries to make life better for the masses rather than the godfather himself. The masses need to wake up in this country otherwise we will go from bad to worse. |
