vicdom: Dangote is actually the main targe! Tinubu's heavy torchlight is beamed on him specifically, others were only mentioned in order not to be seemed as vendetta. Emefele and Dangote finished this country completely
Dangote that's one of Tinubu's General? It's like you don't know how these elites are connected.
It's funny how the political and elite class feed the pawn masses something to chew on and keep them busy with just ordinary group photography while they carry on with their regular businesses of stealing and looting.
Animegirl: So, there's a man who wants me to be his wife. Honestly, he possesses the qualities of a good husband, but I can't deny that I don't find him attractive. Despite my efforts, I can't seem to develop feelings for him. Seeing his face makes me angry, even though he treats me well and spends generously. His height and face are a deal-breaker for me. If I accept his proposal, I know it will cause pain, but no matter how rude I've been, he won't let go. I'm considering running away from my community altogether. I don't want him to know my parents; otherwise, I'm done.
Ah... Annabelle! You have seen me finish!
Why not just tell it to my face that I'm short and ugly? Now, you carry me shame for Nairaland.
When I hear this kind of responses, I tend to worry more. It is often the absolute false hope probably invented from Nigeria.
Everybody seems to be fine if you ask them how they are doing. I've lost someone close to me, and I remember asking the family how he was doing during treatment. Every single family member would say he's doing fine, but when I saw him at the hospital with my eyes, I know very well he wasn't doing well.
I wish Zack quick recovery, but we should learn to say things the way it is.
ekelebeXstunner: I don’t believe everything I see on the internet. This fit be comedy skit.
Comedy skits have made so many people not to react appropriately nowadays. Because we like to film and post on social media instead of calling the appropriate authorities to come to the rescue immediately, it makes it difficult to know what to believe again.
I don't blame Gen Z's though. Skit industry has probably employed more youth in recent years.
Most of it sounds normal and default/resetting mode for almost everybody when the year just started. By February or latest March, we all go back to our old ways of life.
The only cheat code I know is "Be watchful and prayerful".....Col 4:2-6
Kk4: Xiaomi, the world's third-largest smartphone company, has launched its first vehicle, the SU7, a sleek electric sedan. In lab testing, the Xiaomi SU7 claimed up to 800km of driving range and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 2.78 seconds, thanks to its electric motors named after petrol engines.
Prices have yet to be announced, but Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun advised visitors at the automobile's Chinese debut to "show some respect for the technology behind the car."
Will you be buying this when they start exporting from next year 2024?
If you understand the rules of power you would know that if your enemy is dying or you have the means to quench him/her, you must go for the jugular. You must quench him completely. Aiyedatiwa is not doing it against Akeredolu but against the power hungry cabals that want to hijack the government. They already tried everything to bring him down, including unsuccessful coup to force him to resign, and also forging the former governor's signature.
Let's not be too quick to think it's the Oyinbo man that's right. I just did a search on the cost of private jet and I found that the price can range between 2million dollars to 100million dollars.
I guess the Oyinbo man may not be considering the trims on that jet and other stuff on that jet. Unless we see the receipt, it's very much difficult to say who is right or wrong.
Bluntemperor: Nonsense! Why don't you reports on the numbers of Generators Noises in every House in Nigeria because of the fraud called DISCOS? Hope you and other Officials carrying out some of these activities are not enemies of God,for God has ways to take care of things,in a long run!
You can report generator noise as well. They will do their investigation accordingly before sanctioning as appropriate.
Angelfrost: Sir, you are making sense, but sadly, you are way off point.
Even the most rotten societies have rules they enforce... If you know those rules, isn't it prudent and sensible to abide by them rather than looking for justifications?!!
I'm not arguing for or against the lady here... Neither is it my headache if the man's household members are respectable or law-abiding.
The point here, and the only point, I'm afraid is the presenting circumstance... Are there dress codes or strict rules on dressing?!! Did she abide or flout them?!!
That's like refusing to abide by the dress code or rules governing Nigerian courts and embassies or ministries just because the nation is globally recognized as lawless and corrupt.
My entire point is, we cherry pick on our rules and laws when it comes to the downtrodden. There are one sets of rules for the elites and another sets for the common man. Rules and laws are supposed to be sacrosanct.
Did you not see what's happening in Rivers? Because the defectors are going to APC now, they are bypassing the constitution and using politics to solve the wranglings.
My point is there should be a straight line across our rules and laws. Let's not bend some and straight some. That's exactly what makes us a banana republic.
Angelfrost: Are his children trying to gain access into an institution with dress codes and rules?!!
What's the correlation between the morality of his children and the rules he has been employed to uphold in his place of work?!!
We shouldn't argue for the sake of arguing abeg.
The institution is a microcosm of the larger society. The way she dress is a reflection of how rotten the entire society is. That is the correlation.
If she was coming right from her hookup bed to the exam hall, I won't blame her. We shouldn't cherry pick what is good or bad. We have to deal with all the ills in the land. Right from government, to civil servants.
If she still have the presence of mind to understand that education is important to her, her dressing is of less important to me. We have polithiefians stealing our resources and putting people in dare and extreme situations and we do or say nothing about them.
But we want to nail someone for her dressing even though she still have her mind intact to come for an exam to enhance her future. My take though....
The house is nice. If they are aged, they would need more care beyond the house.
Food: (good and nutritious one) Special care:....(Hire a trustworthy and reliable caregiver if need be) Mobility: (Get a good and trustworthy driver). If they they can no longer walk, then be thinking of wheel chair for them. Communication: (Ensure there phones have credit to call at will) Pocket Money: (Even if they won't spend it, just let them have the feel of what it used to be)
You've done great by building them a house, but go the extra to provide the needed for the aged, otherwise the house will mean nothing to them if the real care for the aged is not addressed. Infact puting them in a good "carehome" and be paying service charge will be better than the house you built.
