I think it's unfair to demolish people's property without a fair hearing, proper investigation and possible compensation.

Nobody builds a property worth millions expecting it to be demolished.
Compensation for illegality? Who is compensating those whose houses are flooded every time it rains because you built on illegal drainage channels?

Like the commissioner said, you should be thankful the govt is not charging you for the equipment, labor and diesel to Tera your houses down as a result of you blocking the drainage channels.

Peter Obi has killed the opposition. They can’t win an election separately and they will not be able to come together.

Can you imagine PDP sharing posts with the likes of Abure? They would rather port to APC. He is not on their level.
Then Who will step down for who? Can you imagine Obi telling his supporters after all his noise he is stepping down to PDP? Can you imagine Atiku at 80 agreeing to be VP to Obi? Then can you imagine PDP sponsoring Atiku after 2 failed attempts? The same PDO governors that did not attend his press conference?

The ship has sailed. LP has peaked and PDP is in decline without a lifeline. In the end they will remain divided and split their votes again in 2027.

PDP and LP are like 2 self centered exes. You split up because you are both self centered. You want to come back together only because no one wants to date you but when you come back together the same problems that caused you to split (selfishness) will resurface.

Majority of Nigerians would disagree with the redded statement including judges, SANs and many highly respected legal scholars.
Here is the opinion of 3 justices of the court of appeal in Abuja read out today 24th November by the lead justice in the judgement that the sackes the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly.

If 3 appeal court judges could accuse INEC of not being an unbiased umpire, you expect ordinary Nigerians to accept INEC’s conduct of the last elections.

These 3 honourable judges did the right thing when the integrity of the elections was called to question by cancelling the elections in affected areas and ordering a rerun, instead of cancelling the votes of only one party and leaving the votes of the other.

Some Nigerians still have conscience and have not sacrificed their conscience on the alter of money, tribalism or other personal interests.
majority of Nigerians do not use their brains believe propaganda and are incapable of critical thinking.

Like I said above, INEC has provided a credible platform. If you are rigged the system has the evidence. Are there bad elements in INEC? Yes! After all they are Nigerians, there is no unit in Nigeria without bad elements from church to ksques, to schools to homes, we are Nigerians we are crooks! . Read the emboldened above again as many times as it will take for the message to sink in. INEC,s job is to conduct credible elections. They have provided a platform for credible elections. Does that mean there aren’t crooked people INEC no? But if any rigging happens, the system is such that there’s you will leave a trail of evidence…..and that’s all INEC can do!

The problem with our elections is not INEC but Nigerians. There is no system that you will bring that they won’t complain.

I don't subscribe to name calling, I was raised better.

I get the number of votes is confusing to you, but the point is it's not simple arithmetic because Wike wasn't on the ballot.

Some votes are more important than others, in Nigeria, you need 25℅ of the votes in about 25 states in addition to having the highest votes.

Now there are states with lots of votes, which is a good on the one hand but because it's not the only requirement, you need people who can convince those who hate you to vote for you, so you can get the required 25℅.

Let me ask you this before buhari became President, he has always gotten over 10 million votes. But the moment he wasn't contesting Kano was lost, Kaduna almost, kastina lost, he couldn't pull that kind of crowd because he wasn't on the ballot, this is even when the person he is supporting is a Muslim, the vice is a Muslim, the state governors, Senates and house of rep are under the same party, now compare a state like rivers where the only Apc strong man is on a revenge spree because of primary, no senate or house of rep member to rely on.

1 million vote is equivalent to 20 million votes, if after this you still don't get it, please don't quote me.
You are daft, tell your parents they should have spent more effort on your education if they knew the govt schools were not good enough.

There is no way to compare Obi's votes and Wike's votes, Wike wasn't on the ballot.

Can Obi support some core SW and get a 200k vote in his state for that person when there is say Soludo on the ballot?

It will be impossible, the kind of reach Wike had to pull something like that off from a region that is already taken is exactly the point here.

You can only compare Obi, Tinubu, Atiku vote, not Wike, if Obi had someone with half the reach of what Wike had with him, he would have been the President today.
You are being equally as daft. This discussion was about Wike’s influence on Atiku’s defeat. Jesus wept what is wrong with you people? This is how you fail exams. They ask you what is your father’s name you start telling stories about your mother. Is that the topic? The topic was who inflicted more damage on Atiku. And clearly Obi took 6 m votes away from Atiku while Wike and his G5 only took 1m.

End of story. If you want to discuss a different topic then say you are discussing a different subject but don’t quote me for something I posted and start arguing over something else.

I think you are the one not getting his explanation, that 1.01m votes should easily be Obi's but for the strong will of Wike.

In real debate, it's not the person with the best point, it's the person who can change the most mind.
Most of those people would have voted Obi, but changing the mind of 1m votes is way more important that a 6m votes, it's like Obi Vice President able to get over 1m votes from NW and NE, that would have been a game changer.
I never disputed that. My initial comment to which he responded and claimed I was wrong was that Obi controls more votes than Wike. He quote me to disagree. I then responded that he clearly doesn’t understand English because if he was arguing a point I didn’t make them he should not have quoted me. My post was Obi controlled more votes than Wike.

Your problem is that you are persistent in stupidity and I suspect that your brain also needs flashing.

G5 were just the few Governors openly identifying as rebels. We had other Pdp Governors who were rebels but didn't openly identify with the G5. Fintiri was against Atiku but he wasn't part of G5. He was for Tinubu and that was why Atiku didn't support him and supported Binani of APC instead. When INEC Rec wanted to muscle him out, Seyi Makinde of G5 flew to Yola and assured him of support. That was when Atiku's boys in PDP started crying online, asking what Seyi Makinde was going doing in Adamawa.
You are the one who is daft. To show you how daft you are, let us assume G5 states and all the so called undercover states were u see Wike’s control. Add all the votes for Tinubu in those states together, they are not up to half of Obi’s votes.

Abia 8,914
Benue 310,000
Enugu 4,772
Oyo 449,884
Rivers 231,591
Total Tinubu votes from G5 approx 1.01m in total.

Obi’s total votes = 6m

So tell me again where did the remaining 5m from these mysterious PDP rebels come from?

I hope you know that by saying Wike controls more votes than the 6m Obi got, you are implying that APC only controlls 2.7m votes and the remaining 6m came from Wike.

Christians means Christ's followers and not Abraham, the Prophet or the Priest's followers. If Jesus said something directly in his teachings, that is the end of interpretation. Nothing more, nothing less.
1 Timothy 3:2

The long and short of this passage is that to be a head of a congregation one must have one wife. Why would it say have one wife? One could infer that it is the norm to have more than 1 wife but to be a leader of the flock and to be above board (which is essentially the theme of this verse) have only 1.

If one checks the different versions of the Bible, in some this same passage merely says faithful and in others it explicitly says one wife, I. Some it says faithful to your spouse, while in others it says married only once. It is clear therefore that what you take from the Bible in this matter ( as well as many others) depends on which version of the Bible you are reading and what the humans who edited that version want to acheive.

One could argue that Catholics priests do not have wives because their interpretation of “faithful” is that the best way for a priest to be truly faithful is not to have a wife.

The subject of the verses you quote Matthew 19: 4-6 is divorce. In typical fashion we quote verses from the Bible out of context. It is only when you read the whole chapter that you really understand what is going on . The subject is divorce not marriage. He was asked about divorce and he said once a man and a woman are joined they are one, he then goes on to say he does not permit divorce but in the past moses allowed men to divorce their wives because man had become hard hearted but he is here to say divorce is not permitted once a man and a woman have been joined together.

Some would say it says a woman and a man in the singular but When you are talking of divorce, you are talking a about 2 people. If I have 5 wives and I want to divorce 1, and I come to you for advice, the conversation is not about the other 4 but the one I want to divorce. Context, everything is context, read the context or pastors and politicians will use word of God to deceive you.

It is only when you read the context that you understand what was meant.

Carry on. Jesus did not leave a church on earth, The church is a creation of man not Jesus. The Bible is created as a means of control. There are many versions of the Bible depending on the intent on the leaders. When Constantine wanted to control his people he created the Bible included what he wanted and excluded what he didn’t like. The Anglican Church is basically a Roman Catholic Church that excised itself from the Catholic Church because the king (man) wanted to divorce. I can go on and on about how the church and Christianity has been manipulated as a means of control . Jesus is the son of God but he is not God. Christians carry on as if Jesus is God in the same way as they carry on as if their pastors are Jesus or God. The same Bible that says a woman’s voice shall not be heard in Church is ordaining women priests and ministers. There has been too much human intervention and human interpretation of the word of God. The same pastors that go on about 1 man 1 man being a New Testament thing will not tell you there is no mention of tithing in the New Testament

My own interpretation is that if God wanted monogamy he would have stated it expressly without ambiguity the way he expresses adultery almost everywhere in the Bible. I am not questioning God but how do you go forth and multiply if your women can’t find husbands and have children?
Family › Re: Any Time I Turn Him Down He Goes To Bed , Is Everything Alright? - Lady Seek Adv by casualobserver: 5:31pm On Nov 22, 2023
MadamExcellency:
Can you interpret what Jesus Christ was trying to teach from these direct quotes?

Matthew 19:4-6 KJV
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, [5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? [6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
That is merely one of those ambiguous texts that people use to justify their actions. There many mentions of adultery in the Bible why so few regarding monogamy? Because polygamy was so normal there is no need to comment on it. If polygamy was frowned upOn just like adultery there would be numerous cautions in the Bible.

Look I am not here to convince you but Christian women and the ones paying the price for this interpretation of marriage. You are the ones who can’t find husbands but are side chicks to married men. You are the ones with fertile women without children, worldwide it is Christians whose populations are dwindling.

As a man it makes no difference to me. It’s actually to my benefit. As a married man, I can have fun with all you single Christian women without responsibilities. In our fathers time I would have 2,3 4 wives if I want to play around and the responsibility of taking care of all those children. But as a good Christian woman even though you are fooling around with a married man I. secret, You know Shame wont allow you to get pregnant for me and men know that .

I disagree. The police have really improved over the years. Even though some police officers are extremely corrupt and they still collect bribes in police stations and on the road, this is child play when compared to other organisations like LASTMA, FRSC, Customs, INEC, EFCC, NDLEA, and civil servants in general. The police is the only organisation I know that punishes and dismisses officers caught with evidence of corruption. Have you seen any INEC, EFCC LASTMA, etc officials dismissed or demoted for collecting bribes?

To me the most corrupt organisations presently is INEC. There are still many honest judges at the lower courts who dispense justice without collecting bribes. The rot is in the higher courts - Appeal and Supreme courts.
I agree with you on agencies like EFCC last ma etc.

As far as INEC, I believe you are wrong but I don’t have the energy to engage anyone who thinks INEC is the problem. Largely because you have probably made up your mind and we will engage in back and forth with no achievement.

Let me just state my position on INEC.

INEC is one of the most credible organisations we have in Nigeria. Are there bad elements yes, there will always be bad elements so long as they are staffed by Nigerians. This election we had in 2023 is one of the most credible elections anywhere in the world and certainly ever in Nigeria.

What makes INEC credible? Their product (the electoral system) is credible. You cannot rig without evidence. I didn’t say you can’t rig but you will leave evidence.

If you over vote, there is evidence
you stamp ballot boxes, there is evidence
If you alter results, there is evidence
If you are not registered to vote, you can’t vote
You can’t register or vote twice

If you announce wrong results, there is evidence.

There is evidence for every infraction. What you do with it is not INEC’s business….they have done their job. Which is to provide an electoral system that is difficult to rig and when you rig you will leave evidence of your rigging.

The problem with Nigeria is that we are bad losers and we malign INEC and the judiciary and get the gullible public (very easy because the majority have no brains to use) to believe we were rigged when in fact we lost the election or it was our own blunders that cost us defeat.

Let me tell you something for a fact, if a politician knows he was rigged he knows where evidence of the rigging is. If he isn’t producing the evidence it is because he knows he wasn’t rigged. I am wasting my time try to convince you but the system is fool proof.

If anything I would revise my earlier list and say the most corrupt people in Nigeria are politicians. They know they lost but they lie and go to court even when they know they will lose because they believe if they admit they lost, their supporters will lose hope in them saying “this one never wins” but by saying and perpetuating the lie that we were cheated you keep the fire in the supporters alive.

If you were rigged, there is evidence. I stress I am not saying rigging doesn’t happen but politicians have the results even before INEC because they have situation rooms. They know if any rigging materially affected the outcome. If it did they will provide. The evidence because you cannot hide evidence. But often they know they lost, they know there was rigging in 2 or 2 places but they know it made no difference but they will highlight it to malign INEC and claim they won. If it mattered they have the paper trail and they would present it.

Haven’t you noticed that people claim they won elections and instead on focusing on where they were rigged they focus on disqualification?
