Kennydoc:This is the problem with the Nigerian. He diverts the argument instead of acknowledging. In a sane country none of them would be contesting for the presidency and to be clear none of them is the messiah. For us in Nigeria it is a case of who is the least bad. IMHO Peter Obi is the worst of the 3! |
Excelxpress:My friend this is the problem with Nigerians, they talk based on emotion not on facts. The difference between a properly educated man and a charlatan is you dont give out figures you cannot verify. When you have been properly educated you learn this in school to verify your facts. Again you are merely a sysmptom of the poor education in Nigeria on all levels. Nigerians are intellectually lazy, it is a result of the poor education system. if you were propery educated you would have verified before you replied. The irony of the Nigerian is that he hears something he doesnt like and ends up argoung against himself. Your response has just proved my point and the stats. As you can see below they have ALWAYS been more literate than us. Perhaps your misplaced arrogance as “giant of Africa” got the better of you while you were in Kenya…..that or the poor quality of your education in Nigeria as displayed here! https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/NGA/nigeria/literacy-rate https://www.statista.com/statistics/1233484/adult-literacy-rate-in-kenya/

these same free speech proponents asking for twitter to ban someone else. |
ojasans:do not compare yourselves to kenyans, Kenyans are far more literate and educated than Nigerians. Kenya has a literacy rate of 83% in Nigeria it is 60%. Digest that for a second, 4 out of 5 Kenyans is literate, 3 out of every 5 Nigerians is literate i.e 2 out of every 5 Nigerians is an iliterate, statistically if you round up that is closer to 1 out of every 2 Nigerians being an iliterate!!!......and when you talk about literacy what is the quality of the literacy? Kenya doesnt fund Universities they focus their spending on secondary and primary education. The result is that not only is the foundation and quality of their basic education better, anybody who goes to University in kenya pays for his own education and therefore is more focused and comes out with a better degree unlike Nigeria where from primary to University the quality is dodgy because the money is not enough to provide good education at any level. The result is kenyans are more likely to be intellectual in their thought process than Nigerians. kenmyans are more likely to be focussed on the real issues unlike Nigerians simply because we Nigerians are poorly educated and hence more likely to be moved by emotion tribe/religion than reason and critical thinking. So dont use Kenya as an example. Intruth if it were Kenya they would probably be asking what are peter Obi's past credentials, why did he spend decades importing kethcup and mayonaise when he could have established farms to plant tomatoes, eggs and vegetable oil and manufacturing plants to make ketchup and mayonaise in Nigeria, thus providing jobs in Nigeria instead of abroad. Honestly, Peter Obi is lucky he is not contesting in Kenya, the kind of support he is getting in Nigeria especially from so called educated people and youth, he wont get in kenya, they are too educated and enlightened for that. He is lucky that the predominant factors in Nigeria are illiteracy, products of a poor education system, religion and tribal sentiments. |
Gbeng30:to begin with kenya has a better educated population than Nigeria |
Obi is coming
you have a "life time passion to make Nigeria the pride of the world" but you spent your lifetime making money trading and importing basic consumer products like heinz ketchup and mayonaise creating production jobs abroad and you didnt think to set up farms and a factory to convert tomatoes eggs, vegetable oil to ketchup and mayonaise and provide jobs? time for election now you are shouting "consumption to production"....you didnt know that one before? |
I followed Kenya electioneering campaign from the start. This Ruto is just the replica of Peter Obi.He had loggerheads with the president and decamped from the ruling party to a less popular party. The youth took it upon themselves, campaigned vigorously online and offline. They called him online president too.Today he has emerged against the notorious cabals and against all odds. Congrats dear Ruto- The Obi of Kenya Congrats to Kenyan youths Here in Nigeria,on Obi's mandate we shall all stand... The doubting camps should doubt no more. Africa must be liberated from old cabals and crooks.. It's P-O-ssible! We moove!!
Your agenda is not the liberation of Nigeria, you have said it time and time again, your agenda is an Ibo president. Nigeria is not Kenya. |

Emir01:Does it matter? Do any of the factions have followers? Afenifere is just a platform for old guard SW politicians retired by Obasanjo and Tinubu in 2003 to feel relevant. |
Fira09:It is the naivety of youth worrying him and his fellow travelers. They don’t realize that change for change sake can actually put you in a worse position than you were. In many ways we are witnessing it now. Whoever he plans to vote for was formerly in PDP or APC. Youths cannot effect change voting for old wine in new skin, if youth really want to change, they should form their own party and elect youths into parliament and other positions. Rebelling for rebelling sake without engaging the brain is not uncommon with the youth. |

“ Every dispassionate Nigerian knows that the practice of organ harvest has over the years become a Nigerian provenance and of course it is not viewed as unlawful so long as there is a mutual agreement between the parties involved.”….ohaneze I don’t believe these people just said this in an official statement!!!!! Soon they will start to say drug trafficking is an acceptable practice!!! |
neveaho:How Peter Obi abetted and caused killings, illegal evictions of northerners in Anambra – Malam Umar Dan Kano https://podiumreporters.com/index.php/2022/08/14/how-peter-obi-abetted-and-caused-killings-illegal-evictions-of-northerners-in-anambra-malam-umar-dan-kano/ “The sordid details of Peter Obi’s alleged infamous role in the 2006 ethnic attacks that led to the killings of several northerners in Onitsha, Anambra State, where the Labour Party presidential candidate served as Governor at different spells between 2006 and 2014, and other alleged discriminatory policies against non-Igbos have been brought to light by a northerner who questioned the moral basis of his appeal for votes from the region. The allegations, reportedly made by Malam Umar Dan Kano, were published on Twitter by Ibrahim Shehu who tweets from the handle @magmal11. According to the thread titled “PETER OBI, THE NORTH AWAITS YOUR AUGUST VISIT”, Peter Obi emerged as Governor barely a month after the February killings of northerners and destruction of their businesses in Onitsha. He claimed that then Governor Obi, upon visiting the town, was approached by the northern community for sympathy and protection but he cruelly dismissed their appeal, asking them “to go and tell your people to also stop killing our people in the north.” He said: “I could remember that Peter Obi came to power on the 17th March 2006 while the famous Onitsha crisis, which led to the killings of Northerners, occurred on the 21st and 22nd of February 2006. That was almost a month gap.” “Our first meeting with Obi also coincided with his first visit to the town; all arrangements were done to receive the first citizen of the state and also to explain our predicament to him at that moment.” “As refugees in Army Barrack Onitsha, we took him from the barrack round to the affected areas of the crisis such as Bida Road central to see some houses burnt within the area, and then to Oba of Yoruba house and palace that was razed down along sokoto and Ifejika streets, then down to bridge head market by the express, where all Northern markets were burnt down.” “There alone, more than 100 lives were lost and properties worth billions destroyed. The following businesses were destroyed and burnt completely: Goat Market (Northerners); Kola market (which comprised of North & Western interest); Beans and Rice Market (Northerners); Onions Market (Northerners); Vegetables oils (Northerners); Arewa parks which comprises of Maiduguri, Bauchi, Gombe, Sokoto ,Yola, Kano, Mubi and many Northern states; Osogbo park (Yorubas).” “But to our greatest surprise, the first thing that came out of PObi’s mouth was “you people should tell your people to also stop killing our people in the North” It was like a bomb! Everyone was shocked ” “We couldn’t believe a whole Chief Executive Officer of a state who should be for everybody, a “Governor so to say could utter such a disgusting and an intolerant statement in the public! We all were disappointed and dispersed without even murmuring a word. Peter Obi sent a chill down our spines!” “The rest was history; Peter Obi didn’t even feel any pity for the lives lost nor the properties destroyed, not to talk of giving out any form of relief materials or compensation of any sort to the biggest community of settlers in the state.” He also recounted Peter Obi’s controversial residential policies as Governor, policies believed to be targeted at non-indigenes of the state, particularly northerners who were evicted in droves. “Secondly, at a point in his Administration, Peter Obi decided to eject and takeover those markets mentioned earlier from the Northerners. These are markets which the Northerners had been in possession since 1974 when they were relocated from Ochanja market by the then military government.” “The Hausa community, thereby, rejected his moves to take them over without any provision or replacement for their original place of business. To our surprise, Gov P. Obi ordered the deployment of Military men, who invaded the market and took no prisoners. They shot and killed 7 (Seven) innocent market men among the protesters.” “It’s not easy to suddenly lose our places of income and source of living without any replacement. So, we petitioned the matter to the office of the Sultan of Sokoto who in response sent 2 Emirs, that of Suleja & the Etsu of Nupe, to appease him, but even all that brought no fruitful solution. The governor stood his ground and refused to provide an alternative land for the Markets.” “Eventually, his Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, had to visit the governor to beg on our behalf solely for him to provide another place for the continuation of our businesses, but ‘the almighty’ Peter Obi refused to change position all because we are NORTHERNERS not IGBOS.” “Because we are Northerners, Obi felt we didn’t deserve a land for our businesses in Anambra State. In fact, in one of our meeting with him he openly said to us and I quote,”you people are foreigners here, therefore you have no right to our land”- a clear case of an intolerant leader.” “Obi’s discrimination & hatred to us clearly defined him as a bigot to the core. Peter Obi forgot that a day like today will come when he will need northerners for his political ambition, he forgot that there are over a Million Igbos of Anambra state origin who are scattered all over the North living comfortably with their families & businesses.” “So, for Obi’s insensitivity and high-handedness, all the traders relocated to Asaba with their families and businesses. NOW TELL ME, How would Peter Obi treat Northerners if he is elected the President of Nigeria?” Malam Umar Dan Kano also cited several instances of unfair treatment and blatant discrimination aimed at the northern residents of the state, including forceful and illegal evictions, denial of state opportunities, and other exclusionary practices. He concluded that “in view of all the above Peter Obi’s divisive kind of leadership and his unprovoked notorious actions against the North and Northerners, I make bold to say that he is not worthy of a single VOTE from any patriotic Northerner (‘Yan Arewa) and Westerners (Yorubas). Obi is an extremely ethnic bigot and a personality very dangerous to be trusted with the highest office of the land.” |
BeanmanX:You too noticed? See as our fortunes at Arsenal turned once she left!! |
crowther15:The madness that will overcome them in 2023 when he loses won’t have part 2! |
byrron:Bobo, we can’t be going back and forth or going round in circles. You either groom a successor or you appoint one. No one grooms a successor, even you cannot name 1, usually they leave to manage another club (as many assistant managers did at Manu). Look what happened to Arteta.. he got an opportunity at Arsenal and he left. The best you can do is appoint your successor which he did in Moyes. If the fans and the hierarchy were not patient that is not on him. Fans have ruined the careers of many good or up and coming managers at Manu because of their impatience. You sacked a good manager in Moyes what did you achieve, rinse and repeat with every manager that came to Manu. Manchester United’s is a toxic job for managers because it is a reputation killer. It’s not the managers, the last trophy you won was under Mourinho, you said he wasn’t good enough. He has gone on to gone on to lift trophies. Your problem is not your managers, your problem is the culture at the club from top to bottom. Anyone that goes there……good managers and good players fail!!!!!! Trust me I know, I am an Arsenal fan. You can start with your idiotic pundits like Gary Neville! He is part of your problem imagine saying we don’t want Conte!!!!!! That’s part of your problem!!! You appoint a good manager and you give him full control and you wait 3-4 years there is no other way. The longer you wait to adopt that formula the longer you spend in oblivion. Finally to end this debate about grooming once and for all… any asssistant manager willing to be assistant long enough is probably not ambitious or good enough because it doesn’t take long to learn the basics after which you need to test yourself. If you are content being groomed waiting for Fergie or Wenger to retire, you are not a manager e.g Steve Bould at Arsenal. So banish this idea that somebody is there being groomed. He is either someone who wants your job who is likely to be treacherous or someone who is not good enough to be manager. No good manager is sitting around as a no2 forever waiting to be manager, that’s why you cannot mention any manager that was groomed. You learn and you leave to groom yourself!!!!! Why hast Darren Fletcher taken over, them never groom am reach? |
Jokerman:You tell me |
Jokerman:Robson did not groom Mourinho, Morinho never managed barcelona. Ancelotti was sacked at Madrid Dont even mention Mourinho he never groomed anyone. They just happenned to be assistant managers. Grooming means you are preparing them to take over from you. |
posters that Obidients will tear down, |
byrron:Wenger was in the job, where was his successor? you cant on the one hand say he failed to groom a successor then say it is unusual for a manager to be in a job that long so you have no examples.. make up your mind. Bottom line is he hand picked his successor ..what else do you want!!!! How many managers and players do you want to have to realise that the problem goes beyond the manager or players? As an Arsenal fan, I can tell you manu were already on the decline even before Fergie left, but such is Fergie's managerial skills that he was able to squeeze 1 last glory out of a team that was already going down in quality. I think he knew it that was why he quit on a high, unlike Wenger who couldnt read the tea leaves and waited to be sacked. |
byrron:I asked you to mention 1 top manager who groomed his successor! I am waiting |
inoki247:I am shocked he is among those owing salaries |
byrron:Who grooms a successor, please name 1 top manager that groomed his successor. He appointed who he felt was the right man to succeed him and going by his success at west ham and previously at Everton, he certainly would have done better if given time but the club and the fans pushed him out. |
byrron:No he had plenty of mentees, he even appointed his own successor in Moyes. The problem with manu is they felt they were bigger than Moyes and they didnt give him a chance, same thing with Jose (how can you be bigger than Jose?) The other problem with Manu has been their recruitment, they seem to think the way to success was to buy the most expensive players, assuming the more money they spend the better the player will be for them except there are a lot of expensive shit players on the market these days like Maguire. See how they outbid Arsenal for martinez, how do you spend 55m for a 5foot 9 centreback when your other centreback is a liability? Arsenal wanted him as a left back and were not prepared to pay more than 35m. They have made a lot of expensive mistakes, like Sanchez, Pogba, maguire etc etc. |

Been saying it for ages!!! I also mentioned in a previous post that I was told that as far as the powers that be in the North are concerned Obi is a no no, hence his choice of VP. |
