We should stop embarrassing ourselves on the international stage |
Tickles001:Civilization to him and quite frankly to the west means the west!!! |
Peter Obi having a family meeting with his true family the PDP
|
othermen:Tinubu is the front runner. A front runner determines which events he will attend, which events are to his advantage. It is the underdogs that attends every event available because he needs the publicity!!! |
We can always trust OAU to vote for strike. |
PresidObi: descarado:Again? When was the 1st time? The fact that you cannot list any is because there is nothing to list. Deep down you know it that’s why insults and bullying is the only ammunition you have in this election because you cannot counter questions like mine with evidence of past performance. It also shows the intellectual level of the Obidients, that you think a man who has had the opportunity to serve and has nothing to show will some how turn into the deliverer. As they say a leopard does not change its spots. |
PresidObi:Talk is cheap, anybody can talk. Don’t tell us what your competence and leadership did in 8 years as governor! |
hush15:My friend it is clear ignorance, lack of exposure and bitterness is your problem and that of many others. Distribution hubs are rarely if ever In the Centre of large cities, they are almost always located in the outskirts of the city they serve. In the Uk for example, many of the logistic warehouses and distribution centers are on the motorways so that trucks can easily get to them without traffic. Anyone who has been abroad driving on highways will have seen large distribution centers/ warehouses in the middle of nowhere. Below are distribution centers for IKEA, Morrison and Tesco in the Uk, you can see they are in the middle of nowhere. The last pic is IKEA USA west coast distribution center in in the middle of the California desert. Apart from the issue of traffic and access, you require large acreage for distribution centers and land is cheaper in the outskirts. You village idiots just post anyhow making fools of yourselves!!!!

If anybody is going to defeat Tinubu in lagos it is Obi because that is where his support is biggest outside the SE.....and he cant! The people in Lagos who would have voted for Atiku will vote for Obi. just like in many states across the country, those who would have voted APC are still going to vote APC! The biggest loser in 2023 will be Atiku because the votes he counted on especially in the south are going to Obi. Tinubu will win, Atiku second, Obi 3rd! The biggest shock that may happen in 2023 is that Obi defeats Atiku. Reno sums up exactly what I said.
|
PresidObi:Like he did in 8 years as Anambra governor |
Mufakirnaqdiun:Which is what Tinubu wants.....to divert votes away from Atiku. I dont think Reno is being truthful but if he is, then it is a master strategy by Tinubu to have pulled it off. |
klever18:Intelligent people hear corn and cassava know what it means, jobs, industries and billions of dollars. Dumb people hear corn and cassava and think of agbado and garri!!!! See below what ethanol from corn does for the US. Apart from ethanol, you can also produce industrial starch and flour from cassava and corn!
|
Corridon:Agbado is corn. Corn starch or corn syrup is in virtually every imported consumer product. Next time you pick up any imported product be it sweets, soft drinks, chocolates, biscuits etc etc, look at the ingredients you will find corn starch, corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup. Let’s us not even go into ethanol which is produced from corn and cassava. Cassava flour is already in a lot of the bread you eat replacing wheat flour!!! Ignorance is the bane of the Nigerian |
Tareq1105:It speaks to how dumb some of these politicians are, especially after what has gone on before. Ogun state gov realized he didn’t do youth service, so he didn’t submit his degree and used his school certificate to run. If you have a degree you dont need a school certificate because the requirement is primary school certificate or equivalent! They can only sue you based on what you submit, so you submit as little as possible to meet the requirements except you know everything is in order. No politician in Nigeria needs to get himself in trouble over certificates if they are truly educated. If they know what the actual requirement is to run for office. The requirement is “MINIMUM school leaving certificate or equivalent”. Where equivalent is defined as primary school plus 10 years work experience. So even secondary school leaving certificate you don’t need if you can show work experience!!!!! See section 177. (C) below of the constitution below and section 318 for the definition of “school certificate” under the law. if you can read and write and communicate in English you have school leaving certificate under the law.
|
Nigerians are so daft. Why submit high school certificate when you have a degree? You don’t need to, these illiterates never learn!!!! |
Timekeeper452:A man who was governor for 8 years is not a man without a track record. This. Is what I say when I say Peter Obi supporters lack brain cells. The only ones who can be said to be thinking right are those who are voting for him for tribal reasons. Whether tribe is a reason to vote for someone if you truly want progress and prosperity is a different matter but at least you can see the logic in their support for Peter Obi. I am Ibo, or I am non Ibo and I feel it is time for an Ibo president…….one can see the rationale for that line of support. The rest of you are just brain dead!!! A man was governor of a homogeneous state, made no transformational impact or lasting legacy in 8 years and yet in your warped mind this is the man to transform a compkicated nation line Nigeria? It is your choice, thankfully you are not strong enough as a movement to impose the mediocrity that is Peter Obi on the rest of us. |
Timekeeper452:By choosing a man who has no track record and no plan. The one clear thing about Obidients is that they are driven by frustration rather than brain cells. |
Timekeeper452:And I am telling you that you are a product of a failed education system. |
Timekeeper452:Please stay on topic, I am not here to debate a nuisance like FFK with you, he and his motives are his problem and not the issue. The issue here is the Obidient/3rd force movement. |
Timekeeper452:the oyinbo man that invented the word "endorsement" defined it clearly, he also defined "recognition" very clearly, they are 2 different things but just like the way we practice foreign religions, Nigerians think they know English (and religion) better than the oyinbo man that brought the English (and religion) to you. Thats why it is very difficult to converse with a Nigerian in English, you will use a word as it is meant to be used and the Nigerian will define how he wants to define the word. i have always said, one of the biggest hinderances to progress in Nigeria is the use of English due to the falling standards of teaching in Nigeria. When we communicate in our local dialects it is very difficult to take a different meaning from what was meant. |
Timekeeper452:It’s not an endorsement, it’s just a recognition that they are a force that shouldn’t be taken lightly. He clearly says he doesn’t believe they will win. |
The problem with the Obidients movement is 1) The man at the top of the movement is not a typical Nigerian politician in many ways is also a typical Nigerian politician and part of the same system the followers are supposedly fighting against in many ways. He is not the messiah. 2). They took too long to get the movement going, they should have started this movement immediately post endsars. As it is coupled with the point listed above that O I is the wrong man to lead the movement, they do not have enough time to win in 2023. Once Obi loses in 2023, he will be too old in 2027 to be the legitimate voice of the “youth” coupled with his history of abandoning political parties. Once Obi is not at the forefront of the movement, it is very likely that a significant portion of his support base (especially the Ibos) will dissipate. 3) it is very likely that the party that wins in 2023 will be mindful of the threat of the 3rd force and is likely to reform its act in government, such as to weaken the appeal of a 3 rd force. 4. However if the 3rd force is indeed a genuine movement that will stand the test of time and one day take power, I very much doubt it will be under Peter Obi. What I am trying to say in summary is Peter Obi is a blessing to the 3rd force but also a curse. He has provided a rallying point for the disaffected but he is also a man who can’t take them to victory. |
Igbo:he was turning production to consumption by importing everything importable with no factory until naira collapsed!! |
kwakwanso is still in this race? |
bennybuhari:Wike is searching for a soft landing after his immunity expires and for who will give him that soft landing. |
fancyhandsome:Stop glorifying and encouraging the beauty queen industry, it is not until you parade yourself half naked in front of old men that you know you are beautiful. Encourage young women to have something more to offer the world aside beauty...for their own good!!! if you check her in 20 years , you will find she is either single, a mistress to a married man, a single mother or a home breaker 2nd or 3rd wife. It's an almost inevitable path your life will take once you start to enter beauty paegents. |
Atiku spoke well, he was the most articulate, prepared and presidential of the 3 aspirants but I can never vote for PDP. Obi was Obi.....shouting, telling us problems we already know and offering no solution. Shettima fall my hand!!! I am very disappointed in his performance. Scorecard Atiku: good outing Obi: nothing new Shettima: very poor outing |
jamjo:The shame is on you because my comment, “you people” was in reference to Obi supporters. I had made several comments leading up to yours about so called educated enlightened adults and how their obsession with Obi makes no sense. A man who has no track record and has offered no solutions. All you have shown is that everything for you is viewed from the prism of tribe. |
Niklaus398:Jesus wept!!!!! How daft are you people? Are you sure you went to school? Do I really need to pretend you are a 5 yr old to explain this to you? |
GreyLaw:It is the law it is in the constitution. Even NOI cannot be an ordinary commissioner in Nigeria again. The law does not apply to Nigerians who were born abroad. It applies only to those who acquired citizenship of another country after they were born. Saraki was born in England so he is an automatic dual national and the law doesn’t apply to him. If you give me a few minutes I will post the relevant part of the constitution. Sections 137 president 182 governor, section 66 National Assembly. To be a minister you must meet the qualifications to be a National Assembly member according to section 147(5) which means the same laws that apply in section 66 apply to ministers. I have posted section 66 below….the wording regarding president governor and house of assembly members and citizenship is the same so I have only posted section 66…but as you people say feel free to verify the constitution is available online. @greylaw. As promised: I keep telling you Nairalanders I don’t post unless I have facts.
|
Truthdeypain:Please tell us what these records are. |
Niklaus398:I thought you want to change the system, you want to change the system by employing the same tactics that haven’t worked. I keep saying it you Obidients don’t think right!! You are driven more by hype, emotion than sense! BTW Akinluyi was at least a professor of pharmacy!!!!! She had knowledge of the sector. |
