Chimamanda will make an excellent choice for minister of education in a Peter Obi federal government.
ist of all Obi wont win, secondly i am sure she has acquired American citizenship, so she is ineligible for any political post in Nigeria. Thirdly why is she even qualified for minister of education, what does she know about the education system?

Has she been a teacher or owned a school? has she ever managed anything, any organisation? she writes novels...so fucking what? how does that qualify her to direct the affairs of our education sector? you people dont think right!!!

Obi is extremely overated.
he is a charlatan, a quack, a pretender and an opportunist. Of all the options he is the worst!!! he would be ok as a local govt chairman not even a governor.

I dont even know bro. Obi is overated and has no national politics ideas at all.

I kept saying it with the move his supporters taken its obvious he is a bad product because good product speak for itself but when bullying, harrassement, threatening, lies, arsonist is the way to market a product then that product is of a questionable status.

Obi is not qualify to rule Nigeria and he will never rule Nigeria. That is it. This not the first time he will be talking off point trying to play smart for his dumb followers.

Pls listen to how Atiku talked in that programme uou will see experience, capacity, wisdom, professionalism, political knowhow Atiku displayed bro ofa na oga abeg obi no get the liver biko.
I can understand the Ibos who support him, I can also understand youths who are naive as to what governance truly entails but what i cant understand are the so called educated enlightened adults who cant seem to see through him. Like I said I am no fan of Atiku particularly because i dont like the sort of people in PDP but mhen Atiku showed the difference between a potential president and a pretender, a quack!!!! The gulf in experience, exposure, class, intellectual sagacity was on show for anyone but the biased to see today!!!

There should be practical ways and solutions

Thrash. I wonder the kind of information you are passing. This is not true.
FACT! you are clearly an ignoramus. The problem with many Nigerians is they talk out of ignorance and they dont bother to verify and when people who actually have been in that environment speak they dismiss them.

this is from the website of UCAS the equivalent of JAMB in the uk:
https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/applying-university/mature-undergraduate-students

"Don't worry about whether you are qualified to study at university level yet – your original education or work experience may be enough, and if not, there are Access courses you can complete to gain entry. You also have the option of studying from home with organisations such as NEC (National Extension College). "

I know for a fact that you can enter a university without the basic entrance requirements because I know many people who left Nigeria in the 90s and entered via the mature student path.

I know someone a former director of a bank in Nigeria who has no 1st degree but when his father bought a bank, he had to do a masters degree to fulfill CBN requirements and was admitted to a prestigious university basedon his work experience.

I got my facts wrong about Wole Soyinka, I confused him with another famous Nigerian professor whose name i cant remember at the moment. However untill I remmember the name and post it, to let you know that it is not unusual to became a full professor (not visiting professor nonsense) without a Ph.d you only have to look at your VP Osinbajo who was a full professor at unilag without a Ph.d. There is also a famous edo artist who is a full professor and never even have a bachelors degree, cant remember his name. there are many priofessors without a ph.D, those are just a few examples. In fact in many of the world acclaimed universities including havard, oxford, Cambridge etc many of the professors dont have a Ph.d

A Ph.d may fast track your path to a professorship but if you are very prolific in research and publishing, exceptional scholars without a ph.D can achieve professorship faster than people with Ph.ds. In fact there are lecturers with Ph.ds that never become professors because all they do is teach, they dont do research or publish articles in respected journals.
Education › Re: Islamiyat Ojelade Got 7 PhD Scholarships In 7 Universities In USA With HND by casualobserver:
you can go the university abroad if you have no school cert, you can be a professor without even a masters (infact Osinbajo has no Ph.D), you can undergo a ph.d without even a 1st degree. it all depends on the individuals personal career path/background, experience etc.

It is only in backward Nigeria where we produce graduates who dont understand English (as is well evidenced on nairaland) or know how to think, that we place undue importance on degree and certificates. bill Gates, Steve Jobs who are responsible for the tech advance the world is witnessing etc etc dont even have 1st degrees!! We place too much emphasis on certificates, you only have to browse nairaland to know that many Nigerians with a 1st degrees are useless to society and are no better off than some with proper "o" levels and thats why many cannot get jobs and end up as bank clerks, sales assistants etc.

You see Tinubu and Atiku, they are ready to tear apart the country for their selfish ambition to corner our Nigerian wealth to their personal pockets.very selfish people.

That's the real reason these governors are taking positions against themselves.

Vote for Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed of Lp.

Retire the old, corrupt, divisive order that has been ruining Nigeria and rendering the masses poor with their old age and incompetence.
The only thing we ever hear from you people is abuse and how bad the others are. How many times are you going to abuse? why dont you try and tell us how your canduidate will be different after all Obi and Datti are former PDP members? Try and tell us what their plans are because abuse can only take you so far, you are only cheering amongst yourselves and preaching to the converted, trust me at this stage, everybody knows where they are going in 2023, you are not gaining/convert any new followers by abuse!!

Dear illiterate Nigerian,

This is not a 3 month debt. This is a failure to pay the fees 3 months after the notice to pay outstanding debts. The debts are more than 3 months old and could be years!

Edit: As you can see these broadcasters owe 2.5billion since 2015!!!!

talk is easy
Actually he didnt say he would remove subsidy, he said he wouldnt because that is the only thing the people enjoy. i beleive he only agreed to remove it about a year ago and then backed out. The problem is if you are not removing subsidy then considering the huge pressure on our forex, he should have in 8 years gotten the refineries working especially as a past and present minster of petroleum.
Politics › Re: Ahmed Zainab: FG Spends ₦18.397 Billion On Petrol Subsidy Daily by casualobserver: 8:22pm On Aug 18, 2022
This is probably Buhari's biggest failing, I dare say even more than insecurity. I say this because every body feels the effect of the fuel subsidy regime, the pressure pn forex etc and although tragic, the impact of insecurity isnt felt by most..... at least not directly.

It all stems from his failure to get the refineries working, possibly because they were banking on Dangote. It is inexcusable because the high cost of importing PMS etc, the pressure on the naira is responsible for the inflation we have been expoeriencing for years even before the ukraine war. Buhari has done well on infrastructure but it is inexcusable that in 8 years he couldnt get a single govt owned refinery working!!!

I don't like him because of his nepotism and his foolish fulanisation agenda; but he has tried for infrastructures.

This is Agbara Badagry Expressway, Lagos state. Good job!
I am not sure if this so called Fulani agenda. With due respect it is the talk of mediocre minds. It is impossible to Fulanis or islamize Nigeria. Every head of state puts people he can trust to head the security agencies. Do you know there were coup attempts against Jonathan and Osinbajo? Do t forget Buhari himself was overthrown by a coup. So imho it is understandable that he puts his people in key security positions.

You can be forbidding all you want but sometimes an election is won/lost before a single vote is cast simply because you presented the right/wrong candidate.

Like I said 2023 should ordinarily be a landslide for the opposition, similarly Buhari had no business winning a second term in 2019. APC won then and will win in 2023 largely because the opposition are just daft, incompetent, unstrategic and fielded the wrong candidate!s/pairing!!

Ironically it is the same unstrategic politicaly incompetent duo that are the opposition once again. Something you didn’t achieve as a team you want to accomplish divided!!!

Ebubu9:
economy, security, education, corruption nkor?
Thumbs down
A good government can always fix those in 4 years. The thing with infrastructure is that it takes decades of successive bad governments to destroy good infrastructure. The 1st 2 things you mentioned above can be fixed in 1 term but how long did the good economy under Jonathan take to disappear? We enjoyed 4-5 years of robust economy under Jonathan but if you look around there is nothing Jonathan left that you will enjoy in 10, 20, 30 years!!!

Infrastructure is generational legacy, economy, security are short term issues, here today gone tommorow. Education is a long term legacy, and corruption as in Nigeria is also a long term issue.

The old bridge has been there for the last 50 and this one will be there for another 50 meaning your children will drive on it. The rail that Buhari has built, Labour or PDP or APC cannot take away!!! The man (Balewa) who had the vision to borrow to build kainji Dam died 56 years ago and we've been enjoying free electricity (no fuel involved) for the last 54 years !!!

Atiku was Vice President for 8 years he did t fix the road to his village. Buhari constructed that road and Atiku’s great grand children will enjoy that road but they will always be teased that it wasn’t their patriarch that built the road……that is legacy!!!! You cannot take infrastructure away!!! We in the SW for all his short comings know who gave us Lagos Ibadan expressway and rail…..we are not ingrates and we will always remmember, even those among us who will vote for other parties!!!!

He is not the one that will decide who the electorate should vote for. He talks too much and that is one of the major reasons Atiku refused him as running mate.
I will keep saying it...Educated Nigerians are not really that smart. Who put the PDP candidate in Rivers (a PDP state) there? Educated Nigerians are some of the dumbest people out there. By the time you are voting, you are already voting for his person, he is already determining who the next governor will be, the electorate is just voting at the elections to fullfill all righteousness.

we wont get involved in primaries, when its time for election we start pretending our vote matters...it doesnt. The game was over before you even knew it was starting. Its amazing we go to school to become enlightened and educated but the uneducated and unenlightened (at the primaries) pick our leaders and we follow.
