PresidObi:Peter Obi supporters have no campaign strategy other than fake news and insults. If they were to stop they would have no campaign because Peter Obi has no record on which to campaign. His performance as governor was mediocre. This is a man who talks of consumption to production but has been importing basic products that can be manufactured in Nigeria for decades and never thought to set up a factory!!!!

treesun:Or maybe the opposition candidates are also questionable themselves. When you have a government that has performed poorly, you just don’t bring anybody and expect to win. The opposition also has a duty to field a credible and sellable candidate. APC has no business winning the 2023 election but they will win partly because the opposition candidates are poor!!!!!! In fact not just poor in terms of track record but poor to the extent that they ran together and lost and decided the best way to win is to run separately and split their votes! If you can’t even show strategic thinking in your campaign how are you going to run the mess that is going to be handed to you in 2023 if you win? |
ojasans:Actually from what I hear he performs for his constituency. There is a reason why he has been their rep unopposed since God knows when. |
quentin06:Do you know there is an IPP that powers Lagos island introduced by Tinubu when he was governor. Clearly you do not know that as a result for more than a decade, they have 24/7 electricity in many parts of lagos island CBD? I am sure they have factored in an IPP plant that is supplied by gas. |

NGVolume:The problem with educated Nigerians is they feel they represent Nigeria. You will be shocked how many homes are not on social media and do not have graduates!!! How many graduates do you think we produce a year? Our total university student population is 1.8 assuming a quarter of that graduate every year (4 year course) we are only producing 450K graduates every year, yet our population grows by 5 million every year. Therefore every year only 10% of the incremental population becomes a graduate. Assuming an average family of 5, the best the average graduate per family can be is 50%. considering there will be families where more than 1 or all the members are graduates, this will skew the actual data to more like 25% or less. By the way as an aside, in the 1980s when we had a population of 65m, we were only producing 20,000 graduates a year....that was why it was easier to fund universities. |
This is what Osinbajo has now been reduced to, talking about where to shit? |
slivertongue:very true! people are also entitled to use their vote as they please. are Nigerians going to reject a Northern presidency or are they going to say no that wont fly? are Nigerians going to reject a same faith ticket or are they going to say no? re Nigerians going to welcome a third force or are they going to say no? ultimately everyone contesting has a right to contest and the people will decide. i just hope the losers respect the will of the majority. |
Badboibipo:Get over yourself!! it is annoying when a woman talks about her beauty..talk less a man!!! Nobody cares about your looks, women care about your pocket. |
Thanos5555:The problem with the internet is that it gives a platform to ignoramuses to talk nonsense and mislead others. I see the number of likes your dumb post gathered and “blind leading the blind” comes to mind…not even one eyed man!!! There is a difference between excess crude account and Oil reserves. Oil reserves is measured in barrels of Oil!!! Illiterates!!!!!! |
Joshmoore:You were traveling to Dubai by road before? Somebody told you Dubai is in Niger or Cameroon? |
Sahara reporters says the moronic imbeciles have suspended the strike for 2 weeks! |
TheSourcerer:I think all these women became professors. One of them is the late alele Williams |
These people are wicked they don’t know the amount of suffering they are inflicting on Nigerians!!!! |
daylay7:No man ever trusts a woman who is unfaithful again. Even when he is unfaithful with you he won’t trust you, I.e even the ex you had an affair with can never trust you again though he won’t say so. Trust me he is thinking to himself I dodged a bullet!!! These are your options. Neither is good but that is your cross to bear. 1) kept quiet make sure it never happens again SEvere links with your exes family and friends and hope and pray he never finds out. 2) tell him but know your marriage is over even if he says he forgives you and doesn’t leave you. You will destroy him and he will never truly forgive you. We men don’t forget!! Always severe like last with exes. If you must maintain a relationship with their sisters etc, make sure it is at a distance, precisely for situations like this. In relationships, sometimes the truth does more damage than concealment!! |
wonderaches:Kenya was a 2 party election. 2023 will be about 3 parties and the votes Peter Obi is splitting are not APC votes. They are people who would either have stayed at home or voted Atiku. If Tinubu/ Atiku was at 50-50 before, what Obi has done is turn the race into (best case scenario) 40-30-30 of 40-35-25 in favour of Tinubu. The damage is to Atiku not Tinubu. The damage to Tinubu is limited because his support is not in places that threaten Tinubu. When is Obi going to visit people in the North? Islamic clerics and traditional rulers? Then you will know the game was over before it started!!! |
Kennitrust:I’m sorry I did t know you are electing president to hold biro. I want a president with a brain. I assume you are a young man, so please rewrite your post showing that being a youth confers you with a more agile brain. Because what you have written here does not show any intellectual benefit of having youths in charge. And by the way none of the candidates are young not even Peter Obi! Even Obama who left office almost 6 years ago is younger than Peter Obi. |
How is this news, don’t you live in Nigeria? |
Kennitrust:What do you mean by sick? You clearly do not watch videos of Joe Biden, if Biden is fit to govern then so is Tinubu because Biden actually suffers from a worse condition than Tinubu. Every week there is at least one video of Biden showing he clearly suffers declining mental acuity, last week he tried to shake someone he already shook. At the same time Trump is close to 80 and fit as a fiddle both physically and mentally. What you need from a president is his brain. So long as his cognitive functions are ok he is good to go and by the way Biden has clear cognitive deficiency, Tinubu has not displayed any loss of mental cognitive loss. Yes he is an old man and he has old man problems but his brain is still in good shape and his brain is what we need. We are not electing a president for his ability to carry his bag but for the content of his brain!!! Get your priorities right!!!! |
Kennitrust:Americas last 2 presidents were older than him. Many functional countries have current or recent heads of states in their 70s and 80s including Saudi, Greece, Italy, Israel. |
abobote:Atiku has always been about money, Obasanjo said as much in his book as to his reliance on spending g his way and reliance on marabouts. Unfortunately for him, his PDP base has been split by the Peter Obi movement. The real impact of Peter Obi is on Atiku!!! The kind of people who will be voting for Obi are people who would either not have voted or would have voted for Atiku. |
SerikiFulani:Bad people don’t produce good leaders. Good people dont produce bad leaders. If you are constantly producing bad leaders it’s because you are bad people!!! An apple tree cannot produce mango as fruit!!! |
ezechi242:Stop embarrassing yourself. |
ezechi242:Like I have said to many on this thread you are an example of a failed education system in Nigeria and you apparently don’t realize you have just unknowingly proven my point, that the quality of education we get in Nigeria is mediocre and we are producing people incapable of logical reasoning. I gave you percentages of what relevance is the population of Nigerians? Nigerians will always feature more frequently than Kenyans in any sample size simply because of our population. There are 4 Nigerians to every Kenyan. Your education is not thorough enough Defoe you to distinguish the difference between ratios and absolute numbers. The fact that you have more Nigerians than Kenyans means in absolute numbers you will have more of everything doctors engineers etc in Nigeria than Kenya. It if you take a sample size I.e 100 random Nigerians and 100 random Kenyans. You will find not only are there more Kenyans that can speak and comprehend basic English because there are more Kenyans whose education is fit for purpose ie they can reason more clearly, are more intelligent and are employable!!!! The education most Nigerians obtain is not fit for purpose as your post haha just highlighted!!!! As for tribe, again you are arguing my point for me, Kenyans are not that tribally fractured so Obi won’t get away with the nonsense he is getting away with here. Issues are the focus of people who are properly educated (not just obtaining worthless certificates) and devoid of religious and tribal sentiments. You are arguing my point for me but too poorly educated to realize it. In a society of educated people devoid of parochial sentiments Peter Obi would not be an item. It all boils down to literacy and education and the quality of the education . The more a country has literate and well educated citizens the less they are swayed by religious a d tribal considerations, the more they focus on issues, the more they get good leaders. |
Kennydoc:if you really want to know why I feel Obi is the worst go through my posts from when he declared. i am not going to waste my time rehashing the argument especially for people who have displayed a low IQ and who are not interested in facts. I am not here to convince anyone to vote for or againsy anyone, i simply state my opinions when warranted and i feel like. if you have already decided to support Obi, there is nothing i can say that will stop you. you are the kind of people that spent hours weeks and months arguing over Buhari's school certificate, when the constitution does not even require it!!! Who joins issues with such people? From your writtings, it is clear I have already belittled myself for engaging you this far!!! |
Kennydoc:Almost everyone who has quoted me unhappy with my positions in this thread has only ended up exemplifying that nigerians are poorly educated. I said Tinubu IMHO is the least bad option. Someone who understands English will know that it is infered that he is a bad option but not as bad as the rest. So for you to come here talking about being a better option shows you education is sub-par!!!! it shows the problem with Nigerians and our educational system, our educational system is producing quacks...like yourself!!!! English is a very beautiful language, it is the foundation of everything but if you dont understand it, lack comprehension and have little understanding and nuances then it is difficult to communicate with you. Nigerians do not understand English because anyone who does knows implicitly that m=by my carefully chosen words I have said Tinubu is a "least bad" option. i described him as "least bad" implying that as far as I am concerned they are all bad and I specifically stated as such in case I come across dimwits like you but alas bad education is hard to rectify if the foundation of the education is faulty!!!! it really is a problem attempting to communicate withthe typical latter day educated Nigerian...garbage in garbage out!!!! Let me give you a hint in life, pay attention to the meanings of words As far as the rest of the drivel you wrote, I really couldnt read the whole thing because it smacked of emotion and unintelligence. i am not here to convince anyone or campaign for Tinubu, I have made my choice and in an ideal world I wouldnt vote for Tinubu. i will just say this, it says a lot that at least in the opinion of some, Tinubu is still seen as the only option in spite of all his k-leg. It says more about his opponents than it says of him. Finally let me say this, if it were a 2 horse race between tinubu and Atiku, I wouldnt come out to vote...I wouldnt vote for Tinubu, I would stay at home. I am voting for Tinubu because peter Obi is in the race! Like I said IMHO he is the worst thing that could possibly happen to Nigeria at this very crucial juncture!!!! The man is IMHO a charlatan and even though i dont think he has the votes, at least let me assuage my conscience that i performed my civic responsibility to make sure he doesnt become president!!!! Go through my entire post history and tell me where I have promoted or campaigned for Tinubu! I am voting for him but i am not campaigning for him. My only interest in the 2023 elections is I dont want Obi because I am discerning enough unlike most of you to see right through him and he is DEFINITELY a disaster waiting to happen!!! You are focusing on the superficial, and the irrelevant and that which has no bearing on the issues that plague the country and my focus is on capacity at a critical time in our history. We are at a very critical point in our history, we need a man who has a history and shown capacity for generating revenue, creating public wealth etc besides mere empty rhetoric. You are a simpleton engaged in beer parlour talk and online propaganda, the US govt has written an official letter to say that Tinubu was never convicted of any crime thats good enough for me. i dont base my views on idiots and online propaganda! |
Kennydoc:Do you know the meaning of IMHO? There is no need to quote me to repeat what I have already told you. It’s part of what I am saying about the level and quality of education in Nigeria! I am not an ardent follower of Tinubu, he is a very flawed man but imho he is the least bad of a bad bunch. If you had any brains and had time for sober reflection, it is a reflection on us as Nigerians that we have come from the likes of Awo, Balewa, Sardauna and Zik to a choice between Tinubu, Atiku and Obi. Yes I am voting to Tinubu but it is a sad that this is where we are as a country and that this is the best we have to offer is a sad reflection on you and I. |
akbonus:Nigerians please see...this is what Nigerian education looks like!!!! |
Amumaigwe:1st of all an intelligent electorate should determine what are the issues he cares about. For me the main issues are 1) insecurity 2) economy 3) restructuring and they are all linked, without one you cant get the other or at the very least you cant get our full potential. All other sub issues, education, agriculture, self sufficiency, industries, health, roads, infrastructure, national Unity, currency etc etc hinge on, or are a subset of, the above so for me, the question any intelligent electorate should ask any candidate are (using economy as an example in all cases) Q: what is your position on the above and what are your plans? expected answer: Our goal is to double the GDP of Nigeria over the next 10 years and create x million number of jobs annually Q: HOW do you propose to to actualise your plans? expected answer: these are the specific areas or industries we have identified e.g agriculture, cotton, road rail construction,Petrochemicals, power, timber, rubber, Oil palm, wheat, lithium, gold minning etc that will contribute to the acheivement of these goals. Cotton will produce x million, infrastructure will produce y millions jobs, minning will produce x million jobs, etc etc Q: HOW do you expect to get the money for these projects? We are going to raise taxes, create jobs (more people to tax) and reduce waste, we are going to stop petroleum importation by 2024, saving naira Q: and what are the metrics by which you will measure success? expected answer: to acheive our GDP targets, we expect the GDP to grow by 7% every year, on employment our target is x million jobs every year, on revenue, our metric is Revenue to GDp ratio our target is 25 in the 1st 2 years and 20% in year 4, on mining our target is x tonnes of lithium or gold or copper mined by 2027, on cotton our target in x tonnes of cotton by 2027, in Oil palm our target is self sufficiency in Oil palm production by 2023 and 100,000 hectares cultivated every year starting from 2024. these are the questions intelligent electorate ask people running for office. what is the plan, how will you execute it and pay for it and what are the metrics by which we can judge success. This is not an exhaustive list, i only addressed economy and only examples, same quaetions need to be asked on insecurity and restructuring because you cannot acheive any meaningful economic growth without addressing the issues of restructuring and insecurity but the same template applies, they have to tell you their views, how they plan to adress the issues, where they intend to get the resiurces to address the issue and the targets and metrics to judge success and failure. notice how many times I bold "How" .....an intelligent electorate asks "How" Finally an intelligent electorate asks the most important question of all.........what in your past suggests you have the capacity to acheive these goals!!! |
olumide4christ:There are so man ysmaller African countries that have a far better educated population than Nigeria and would be so far gone if they had the resources of Nigeria. We wouldnt not see their brake lights if they had the resources of Nigeria. Nigerians are so so poorly educated and on top of that they are saddled with tribalism and religion. The are many educated Nigerians who cant think critically, they are simply cram and regurgitate educated Nigerians. The true hallmark of an educated person is in your ability for critical thinking and analysis. Many Nigerians are good in their field but talk and argue like retards on anything outside their profession because the Nigerian education system does not train us to think but to cram and regurgitate at exams. |
Demolakay:your problem like I have said many times is you are a product of a failed education system. Many Educated Nigerians do not think properly, tribalism and religion have blighted whatever limited IQ was possible to extract out of a poor educational system. if you had been properly educated, you would have realised that I mentioned peter Obi because the person I was responding to specifically and only mentioned labour Party. Secondly if you scroll further to a post i made to a similar poorly educated Nigerian like yourself, you will see I specifically said none of the candidates are the messiah and it is a question of who is the least bad. There is nothing worse than engaging a poorly educated igerian in a debate and watch him argue against himself or expose himself. Bro, if you decide to engage me come correct, i am not your typical poorly educated tribal and religious induced bigot on nairaland. When i talk i talk with facts and argue with verifiable data. When i give opinion I state this is opinion. We are not the same, when i got educated in Nigeria, our education was recognized internationally!!!! |
hero2000:When did bandits start, is it today he started importing ? Cant he set up the factory and take his supplies from farmers? are there no tomatoes in Nigeria today, has Erisco not had a tomata paste factory all the decades Obi was importing ketchup? It is clear people like you are not interested in interrogating truth |
