You cannot fathom it. It's really deep. God is unfathomable. He is exalted beyond our knowledge
You're right, I can't fathom it, sane people can't fathom it, the religious leaders that dropped it can't fathom it.
You know why? Because it's full of shittttttt

STFU, i know you don't Ve brain but Pls employ ya Spinal cord to think since it's part of the CNS.
Why do you Christians twist everything in the bible?

He's no more god now abi what are you implying?
He's now a man on earth?

Now god is no longer a Supreme being but a title?
Its no longer god the father, "the son" & the holy 90% alcohol, it's now god the word?

If I slap you ehh, your spinal cord won't be able to think again for you....
This must be the funniest shittttttt I've read on Nairaland religion forum grin grin

Use your brain.
He was man on earth.
When we say God, its a title for The Father, The Word and The Holy Spirit. Its not a single person.
But the three are One
I thought the Trinity doctrine has been dropped because of how absurd it is?

There is about as much proof of all that I've said as there is for the claim that the book of Genesis may have plagiarized ancient Sumerian texts.
Let's hear yours, no matter how circumstantial they may be.
Christianity EtcRe: The Best Argument For The Existence Of GOD by CatfishBilly: 2:18pm On Mar 23, 2017
DoctorAlien:
Those sumerian texts definitely plagiarized the teachings of the Patriarchs, starting from Adam, which was handed down orally from generation to generation, until Moses put them down in the book of Genesis.

Adam taught his son Seth about the living GOD, and how He created all that exists, and the might works which He has done. Seth taught his children, until Enoch, who taught Methuselah, until Noah, Abraham, and then until Moses, who wrote them down.

During the time the Patriarchs walked this earth, the pagans came in contact with them, and with their teachings. But they distorted them, and enshrouded them is fables.
Do you even have proof for all these stuff you're spewing?

By that you mean being chaste? Do you have a proper with decency? Are we forcing you to conform to our beliefs?
There are so many things that weren't mentioned in the Bible that are considered sin today example fraud, smoking and suicide. Why did you pick those 2? I'm sure you would have added pornography if you remembered it.
No, I have no problem with decency. I'm a pretty decent guy myself.
Read my post again. The Bible gave guidelines on how slave masters should relate with their slaves.
Does the Bible now give guidelines on how to commit sin as per your inference?

Why are Christians obsessed with "sexual sins"?

Since we're talking about what the bible condemns, can you also show me a verse in the bible that condemns abortion and masturbation? But we all know they are sins.
Who declared them a sin?

The absence of any human from this world means he or she is present with God or Satan
I don't get you.
So, you mean the soul goes to God or Satan?
The soul hasn't been proven to exist, so, what goes to where?
Christianity EtcRe: Atheists - What's This Life All About? by CatfishBilly: 10:04pm On Mar 20, 2017

There is nothing like cold. "You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega- heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold, otherwise we would be able to go
colder than 458. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. Because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, just the absence of it."

You've resorted to using a WhatsApp broadcast message in your argument?
What next are we gonna hear? The "Teacher, you can't see your brain, therefore, you don't have a brain" story?

Imagine! I hope sane minds can read the above comment. There's no love, hope, faith, morality, comfort etc in Atheism. Their only job is to analyze the Bible. So sad.
If that was all you picked up from my post, then, I have nothing else to say to you.

You are missing the point. The OP, is not asking you the contribution as an individual. He is asking you the philosophy of Atheist to the less privileged. Where's it in your constitution? Do you even have constitution?
I don't know how many times this issue will be explained to you.
Atheism is not an organized religion. There are no doctrines, no constitution, nothing.
Everyone does as he sees fit and as his conscience/morals allows.
And, no, morals has nothing to do with religion.

Thanks. Talking abt financial status like how much are we talking about, I dont want to die, I will not die NO. I am just in my late 20s. God help me!
I have no idea. When the Cirrhosis is confirmed, talk to a Gastroenterologist, they normally have ideas about things like this.

IamPrince1:
thanks, I have gone to hospital already, did a lot of tests both CT scan, a mass was found in my liver, we are still running other tests to find out the kind of mass, meanwhile I had hepatitisB 2yrs ago, treated it but it seems it has already affectd my liver. You see, I need both medical assistant and prayers and I am already getting the former.
Previous history of Hepatitis B and a liver mass on CT is not a good combination, I won't lie to you. Be prepared to hear the dreaded C word thrown around.
The definitive treatment of Liver Cirrhosis is Liver Transplant.
I don't know your financial state, but if the Cirrhosis is confirmed, start looking at options for transplant including leaving Nigeria.
But that mass is a major sore point though.
If possible, get a Gastroenterologist involved. I wish you all the best, man.
Wilgrea7, thanks

Well, you got me wrong. My motive is not to insult any Christian rather to caution. You are after protection of their integrity. I am after protecting their eternal security. So I guess I love them more than you profess to do or don't think so? As for advocating a false doctrine, I wonder what is false about encouraging fellow brethren in the medical field to be wary of the possibility of lust and sin. BTW, why are you no longer a practising Christian? Please I want to know.
You are not encouraging them to be wary, you told them not to practice at all.
The reasons are personal to me, and I didn't have any personal tragedy that made me stop.

No argument against the Bible survived for more than ten years

Bible critics have raised many questions against the authenticity of the Bible , to pull down Christianity and invalidate its claims.

However, none of these claims lasted for more than ten years because within that period, there would have been some scientific or archeological discoveries to confirm the veracity of the Bible
Come on, how will you say that?
Even as at this month, the authenticity of Jesus the man was argued on CNN and on Nairaland. The thread is still here.
It has been going on for hundreds of years.
All you've written here are just words, no research articles.

Ok. I prefer being 'ignorant' about medical profession but knowledgeable about the requirements for heaven. So I repeat, if 'managing gynaecology cases' involves compulsorily perusing the nudity of the opposite sex and fumbling with their sensitive organs, then it is unchristian. Thanks.
Funny thing is your wife/you will still visit those unchristian folks for help where they'll definitely touch her sensitive organs, which will now count as adultery by your logic since she willingly submitted her self to be examined.
How about that for hypocrisy?
It's not unchristian, it is unsinkills.
Know the difference
Christianity EtcRe: It's Wrong For A Christian To Be A Gynecologist - Christian by CatfishBilly:
Seun:
I just can't come up with any non-pervy reason why a male doctor would want to be a gynecologist, among all the fields he could choose from.
Who knew that Seun was such a prude?
Let me give you reasons especially in Nigeria.
1) It's very lucrative. That's the number one reason. O&G has more number of residency applicants than Surgery and Internal Medicine combined. That's why people rush there.
Do you know how much a round of IVF costs? Coupled with the high birth rate in Nigeria, they are always in demand.
2) It's pretty easy. It's just one system in the body. The female reproductive system. Which is made up of max. 6 simple and straightforward organs.
3) The prestige. Those guys are practically worshipped by their patients. Who wouldn't want that?
Nothing pervy here bro. If you have your own pervy reasons, let's hear it.
On the flip side, you were just being sarcastic. I just realized that after typing this epistle. grin

Wikipedia can go one way or another in terms of reliability. I just looked at a 2015 chart (not Wiki) that listed Monaco as the country with the highest life expectancy rate @ 89.2. Japan was second. The other threr were Asian countries....and the lowest was Chad @ 49.2.
If you look through a purely secular lense, you have to look at several factors:
Environment, lifestyle, healthcare, diet etc.
The status of Monaco as a country is a bit dicey, that's why majority of media firms don't capture them. They are grouped with France., So, obviously, the source Wikipedia got the article from doesn't consider Monaco as a country.
I'll let you and random conclude.

We're not speaking about clergy. We're speaking about medical practitioners....two totally different fields. Clergymen shouldn't be in any position to be looking at nude females.
I get what you are saying...but you need to see where he's coming from.
I was referring to doctors who are also clergymen.
And they do examine nude females if the situation calls for it to aid their diagnosis.

CatfishBilly,
Why can't he have his own opinion? Maybe he's guarding the avenues to his soul. Maybe he realizes that although a Christian, he's still a healthy, man...& knows his limits. He's erring on the side of caution.
You, as a male, should be applauding him.
You've reduced the body to a "piece of meat", but it can be a very attractive "piece of meat" for many people.
I don't understand your frustration?
It's not his position, he's projecting it as the Christian position, which you can see in the title of the thread.
If he presented it as his position, I wouldn't mind.
But presenting it as the Christian position is what I'm against.
Though I'm no longer a practicing Christian, I have colleagues who are practicing Christians and Pastors and General Overseers of churches and what he is pushing is an insult to them and outright false doctrine and you know this.
That he gets aroused at the sight of any naked female doesn't mean that other Christians are like him.
