Towncrier247:<Thinking out loud> Don't you know? That's lalastic... Shyte! Did I voice that out? Uh oh. |
shaddoww:Information obtained from NIMC, FRSC, BVN, Voters' card and a few others can suffice for now to sieve the grain from the chaff. I think that is what they are planning to use. However Nigerians are their own enemies. Expect people to start exploiting loopholes in the system, being masterminded by politicians in connivance with the civil service. IPPIS was supposed to be tamper proof, but at the moment the ghost workers that have enlisted on that platform alone is mind boggling. No thanks to those in charge of it. That IPPIS chairman in Abuja deserves a longer jail term than that of Sàràkí, Dasuki, PEJ and Diezani put together. |
Abegi! Story story. To begin.... We will.... Plans are underway..... We are aiming at... Until you start, it all sounds the same to my ears - speculations and future tense. |
Caveatemptor:Damn! Now I feel like a fool. I'm un-following this fake thread with immediate alacrity. |
madridguy:Presumably. But what explanation would you profer for attacks that occur on non-adherents in regions like northern Nigeria even due to very trivial issues? |
madridguy:The retaliatory cleansing of christians in northern Nigeria that follows every anti-Islamic pronouncements/acts of the western world in contrast has not brought out the beast in 'em Christians. Or would you rather they too take up arms and start unleashing the beast within 'em? You see, it all boils down to outlook, both doctrinal and generally. Christians know very well that brute retaliation is not prescribed in their holy books towards conflict resolution. Well maybe in the old testament which encourages the concept of "an eye for an eye". They however see an easier attitude and approach with the new testament's "turn your other cheek" and "pray for your enemies". Many more adherents of that faith also do diligent work to teach 'emselves in order to verify if what their clergies teach are truth or not. Islam has some outright pronouncements that favour brute force and coercion in its holy books. And while the hadith may be some ways to streamline those dogmas and ensure that "literal" translations are done with to favour more acceptable norms of social interaction and human disposition in an evolving society, some "crazy adherents" and hate teachers have stuck with the literal meanings of pronouncements in the holy book and also gone ahead to infuse such bile into unsuspecting members of their congregations some of whom are too lazy to read the scriptures themselves or engage in rational thinking with a view to justifying the instructions ir commands from such teachers. Otherwise, how will one teacher tell me to strap an explosive on myself and go on a "victory" parade to ensure a place for myself in heaven? Heck no. I'll call his bluff and tell him to go do that himself. |
Strahovski1:Oh no! But her money and possibly the many s3x romps clearly are? |
Vinshu:WTF! Bu they had an agreement. A promise. He could at least try to at least be a man of his words and fulfill that agreement. Matters of the heart are not trivial things to joke with, mind you. There is a reason for classifying it specially as "Crime of passion". And you a lady support the dude's betrayal?! Aggghrrrr! |
elsomm:A Yorùbá monarch do not see their parents face to face if they are alive. Reason is because Yoruba customs demand that you prostate to your parents as a mark of respect. An Oba prostrates to no one, and technically the parents become his subjects the moment he ascends the throne. So in order to avoid that weird occurrence from happening, it's best they do not see face to face till the demise if the parents. |
Damysa:If you reached an agreement with the owner to have the cost of the furnishings deducted from his annual rent fees while you give hin the change, then it's a very wise decision. But if all those were done outta your pocket irrespective of how wealthy you are, then you my friend, have not made a wise investment decision and I see you are proud of that. If that is the case, please such is nothing to be proud of. |
Akainzo:Hmmm. I never thought of that. |
farous:Wrong timing, simple. There was no such agitation during the years of rule by GEJ, whom they openly anointed even though it was a time filled with so much looting and bleeding of the common patrimony of Nigerians. Funny enough at that time these agitators do not shy away from being called Nigerians. In fact the regular response to accusations of treasury looting was always "You had your own there once, but now is our own time to spend the money and get our share of the cake". Right now the calls for secession has suddenly pitched high. It is only NORMAL for anyone to assume that it isn't a sincere call but one informed by the fact that they do not have an anointed as a sentry to the treasure chest of the nation. No one will wanna take that attitude. Even if it is a sincere call, it is very ill-timed. It should have gained traction and probably realizable during GEJ's tenure. What has suddenly changed from then to now that stirred the agitation? The only variable has been a change in leadership. That is not a honorable way to pursue an agenda if you ask me. Edited: You may also wanna query if the agitation that led to the biafra war was ill-timed. To that I will also posit a yes. It began and reached a crescendo when the counter coup removed all traces of easterners from leadership following the initial military coup by easterners that successfully eliminated elements of other ethnic leaning and put easterners at the helm of affairs. Sadly, it was that administration that destroyed the federation that we seriously agitate for in the name of re-structuring now. Bottom line, they lost out in the counter coup and the next thing was to beat the drums of war. Exactly the way it is happening now. I hate wars. I sincerely pray this history will not repeat itself. |
ZuzuMan:That's not the typical site to access a kidney that you will require for transplant. |
cheenway:2 years back, for a total of three bedroom apartment (each self c contained), an ante room and a courtyard, cost of the tiles alone gulped 495k or thereabout, transporting the tile was around 5k over some 15kms. Then a bag of cement was going for 1k350 (I think I used 45 bags or so), a load of sand for 12k500 (I used two loads). Workmanship was the cheapest at 300 naira per square meter (totaling around 45k workmanship then). Right now though, prices have almost doubled. So it's all gonna cost an arm and a leg, especially purchasing the tiles and cement. |
Ihuomadinihu:Then I believe you already know that "Igbó" in Yorùbá also means bush or less commonly an unfarmed stretch of bushy land. Ugbó may also have that same meaning in some Yorùbá dialects, in whose lexis the letter "u" can be substituted for "i" in some words. |
prinsam30:Mhen. Those subjects sound like tertiary courses. Na wa o. Things have really changed over the years o. |
DandyWalker: saint7000:You are the one that needs to cool down and reason. What has he said that gives any tone of insult to warrant a bite back from you? In his words, he said "That's the problem with us. He was careful not to be more direct with using you which is stull on point. Apparently, you'd be hard to reason with in real life. Pardon me if my tone is harsh. Adios. |
frenchwine:I'll advice him to work on his chosen field and build himself to succeed exceedingly. Medical profession as is currently is in Nigeria has been bastardised and rendered almost redundant by the government, some medical elders (who relish eating their young) and the Nigerian people (reference to the dude who posited his preference to pharmacists for treatment of medical ailments to physicians). Some medical elders too in connivance with some no-gooders contribute not little to the rot in the profession and all it represents. The hospitals lack functioning equipments and infrastructures, the medical team at times will need to eke out monies from their own pockets to fund patients' treatment just so to ensure that the care is successful. That is why I don't understand why that doctor that posted the news on facebook had to "praise" the CMD the way he did. It's sycophantic at best. C'mon for goodness sake, it's HIS DAMN JOB to create an enabling environment for staff and workers as the administrator and he does not need to be praised for doing that. This slave mentality is so pervasive that even the macrocosm has taken it as a norm to praise state governors and presidents for payment of salaries and infrastructures when the law and constitution actually mandates 'em to do it. These things are RIGHTS, not PRIVILEGES. |
Fryzi: Good gracious! What's the connection here? Am I missing something? |
lonelydora:I bet he'd rather go to the pharmacist and chemists for treatment when he has ailments than the physicians. And do the same for his children or wife when they need medical (not surgical) attention. There is a reason one is called pharmacist and the other, physician. Also there is a reason the label always say "consult your physician if symptoms persist after three days". Even surgeons will not be foolish to completely usurp the role or undermine the knowledge of their physician colleagues. It's sad that while the Oyinbos wil never entertain such line of thought, we revel in such erroneous assumptions to the detriment of our overall health as a nation. |
Lanretoye:Cosmetics is not something to worry so much about in that site. The scar will undergo near complete resolution and can pass as a bruise mark after a very long time. Apparently a young guy. He still has some active growth and cellular regeneration. |
prinsam30:Fishery as a subject in O' levels?! :O When did that happen? I thought Agricultural science is supposed to encompass everything fishery in Ordinary level education. Or is there in O' Level zoology too? Or Animal husbandry? Or forestry? Okay. You ask what course of study that result can ensure? Fishery, I think. Perhaps zoology. |
Truefederalism: You don mhadt! Aswear! |
GadgetsCo:I couldn't get much info on that site beyond the single picture of a LED floodlight o. |
hssl:smartintelle (at) gmail dot com Thank you. |
AnonyNymous:In Nigeria, once you have been certified and licenced to own one, you will be taken by the police to a target range where you will be trained on its use. I think that takes like three or four weeks and then you are fully certified to own that firearm. |
months:Mehn, guy you get issues o. Your village head witch wey dey do you don die tey tey aswear. |
attackgat:Apparently, you don't fully grasp the full meaning of the phrase: "Not everyday you see that happening" But na lie. It is commonplace. What you don't see everyday is Hausas marrying any other tribes. |
How much please? Is it a standalone numeric keypad access control or does it have the LOCK unit with it? Obviously it does not have fingerprint access facility in addition, but does it work with RFID? Thank you. |
bahdkay:I have POP ceiling everywhere in the house including the front and rear verandahs. Nonetheless, I still had the bricklayer mount some coaches of blocks to block the links and spaces large enough to accommodate the human body. I also have full lenght burglaries on the front and rear though ![]() |
