Bàbá get your stuff from Lagos. It is cheaper that way and it will be shipped to Ilorin or Ado Ekiti for a token.

Sadly most resellers in those places you mentioned are terrible opportunists, offers may be better in Ilorin though. If you decide to get from them, be prepped to pay as much as 10k to 12k difference in price. Also you will have less choice of products.

I know someone who promised to break that monopoly in Ado by selling at reasonable prices. I'll ask him if he has stocks. Which ones would you need?

If your battery is 12v with 11.1v nominal (if the max charging voltage is 12.6v), then I may have a charger on offer. It's rated 3A.

If the battery is 12.7v nominal, the charger is not suitable so please know your battery charging parameters before you buy your charger.

The only committee that Buhari needs to inaugurate at this point is the one to oversee the institutionalisation of regional system of government, separation of powers or outright dissolution of the entity called Nigeria.

I'm actually considering negotiating with him when I want to finally get the 48v online. Sending the 24v to him and asking him to either couple more cells to make 48v or him outrightly using new cells for a new 48v at an extra token while he keeps the 24v pack.

Yep. In Nigeria. Same guy that supplied Ojeysky. He assembles the packs. He has one year warranty on the packs and he guarantees that cells are grade A with serial numbers/codes that can be used to confirm. So far, the batteries have been doing well.

The third pack was imported already assembled. The cells are not CATL. In fact I don't even know the names of the cells sef, but hey the battery has not disappointed going to 10 months. I believe they'll likely be top grade cells too.

Lastly, CATL and green power cells, which is preferable?.
Basic research favours CATL, however i want firsthand reviews

Two out of the three battery packs I have are made of CATL. I actually inquired from the guy that sold the pack to make sure he will be using that.

Another good one is CALB. I've not really heard about Greenleaf before.

I was just playing along with your original joke.

On the average a CC made to support up to 48vdc nominal battery will have caps rated for say 72v or so on the battery side, if you plug in say 105v from PV early in the morning surely you will cause serious damage.

Releasing the white/blue smoke is euphemistic for damaging a CC badly.

Have you heard about some animals that kill their males immediately after sex? Some eat the killed mate while some feed them to their offspring that they bear. Some snakes and spider species are among that.

I mean why would someone develop horrible feelings for their spouses shortly after an intimate process that involves surrendering your most prized and guarded features specially meant for your consumption as a couple to each other.

I believe guys or ladies that have similar feeling after s3x with their spouses specially evolve from those animals, reasons for the animalistic behaviour. So there you have an explanation.

It may be useful to know whether or not your CC also comes prepackaged with this blue/white smoke.

The whole idea is to give you visual and olfactory clues when something is not right.

So if you reverse the connections e.g. plug the battery cables into the PV terminals of the CC and plug the PV cables from the solar panel into the battery terminals of the CC, then you should release some smoke and afterwards you would be alright. Such a connection will usually blow out the capacitors on the CC battery side at a minimum and this should be a fairly easy replacement part also giving you a chance to open up and see your CC's internals

Be sure to let us know the particular color of warning smoke the test CC released so we can all update our records.

Shebi you said it's just a capacitor that will kaput at the minimum and it should be fairly replaceable? I will keep guys posted.

i have a fangpusun 50D mppt charge controller, that got bad. the cables from the battery was wrongly put in the pv input, while the pv cables was put in the battery out of the CC, it released the blue smoke and smell, i later opened it, and couldnt see anything burnt or wrong. anybody h experienced this or knows how to solve it

Sorry about your CC. I keep hearing this "blue smoke" phrase when it comes to CC frying. Is the smoke actually blue coloured and is it with all CCs or with select ones?

It seems you're pitched on 1s configuration with your 18v solar panels for you to get 16v to 18v panel voltage on a sunny day. If my suspicion is right, then you may be cheating yourself considering the fact that you have acquired an MPPT controller; well, except if what you have is only one unit panel of 18v. But with 180 watts on the CC, then you will likely have more than one unit. So consider stringing 'em in series.

I can remotely start charging with NEPA if the sun is not good enough. I can check to make sure that my water has pumped. I can even shutdown the TV when my children are spending too much time with. The possibility is endless.

Well, I like to use the web for controls too, but the problem of security is not something I wanna have to battle with. Even the security cams that I have installed only cover the premises, not inside the house as much as I would have loved to.

That is why I resort to using switches over GSM network providers. I may not have the privilege of continuous monitoring like it is with raspberry pi mini computers connected to the internet and stuff but at least I get to throw a few switches with phone calls and DTMF tones, SMS communication/control and get replies for status monitoring.

I think this is safer from hackers.

Kudos to Access Bank for scamming me today. I ordered an item on Aliexpress on the 29th of April which was worth $22 and i was charged #8711.74 meaning #396 per dollar. Today i received a total refund for the same item and the money i received was #7224.57 which is $328 per dollar. Access Bank succefully scammed me of close to #1500 and they'll soon debit me for useless postal stamp duty.

My guy, you gotta holla them. Is 328 naira the current official rate? They are supposed to refund you at the official rate even if it is higher than what you paid. But in this instance they even refunded lower than the official rate. Double cheating. It's small change but please let 'em know you know you're not mumu and that you know what they did and they should do the right thing.

In certain instances though, the store might no longer be available (closed) or even the seller may not respond to your messages. So you just move on with your life and enjoy the freebie.

Just negotiate with the seller and let him know you won't be paying higher than what you're meant to refund. After all you are only being honest and your honesty should not be another inconvenience to you.

The seller will look for an item in his store with the same price and ask you to pay for that. Payment will be processed and the system fooled that the item is shipped but item is actually not shipped. Then shortly after that, you go and click that the item has been delivered.

In the event that he can't find any item with your agreed price, he can edit the price of the same item to the agreed amount for a few hours and he will instruct you to quickly go pay for that item within that short period before he returns it to its original price.

So apparently backlogs are being attended to. Got a package of March today. In the attached picture circled in pink, you can see the huge leap in tracking information missing 5 months from 18th March to 27th August. All those times nothing was done about the package; COVID-induced I guess.

This way, the promo sales are actually to promote sellers' profit from increased patronage hence it's mostly to the benefit of the seller rather than a two way win for both seller and buyer.
