That's strange, have you tried both options? OTA and desktop?
Maybe the link gets broken due to poor network, try it early in the morning or late nights.

I hope Airtel guys told you that if you activate BIS at the middle of the month, by month end it will expire?

Airtel is still pushing 2G/EDGE but they promised they'll soon move up.

But na promise i go shhop? i need 3G baaaad!

I send them a mail, they replied that 3G has nothing to do with SIM, that the phone picks the service wherever there's coverage.

Who do i believe now?

Are you for real? with all the 3.5 to 4G noise all over the place?

Airtel just flatly deflated my excitement.

I got a new BB 9700 with 3G capacity to replace my 8520 which has a max capacity for 2G/EDGE.

After switching all data and settings to the new device, i was eager to start feeling the 3G download speed but alas! i never consulted my Airtel carriers.
Interestingly i am on the island and i wonder if i can't get 3G signal there? is it in Akoko edo that i will get.

I only get EDGE signal when i set the network to 2G or 2G&3G. Once i set it to 3G, the service disappears and shows SOS! 
I have moved around different locations between island and mainland, yet no difference!

Please anybody on Airtel with a 3G BB, what's the experience? Are other networks 3G signals effective?, maybe i can switch carrier.

What is the PHB IT Enterprise Security guys doing?
Financial Institutions these days block out all external device access to systems except on a need- to- use basis.

Check your network service and make sure it's not set to 3G, once it cannot detect 3G, it goes SOS, rather chose 2G&3G.

i always get txt monthly from IBTC pensions on my balance, i think people should insist on getting alerts from their PFA, so you can square up with your employers on time if they're the defaulting ones.

I hope we're getting a roaring start to the year. It's getting harder to be on desktop these days, maybe Seun should arrange for a NL app, so we keep in touch on the go, cos personally i don't fancy mobile web, too tiny for my liking.

I've been on a cross country roll, city to city, setting the agenda for the year with my various teams, strategizing on how to hit the bulls eye as per the year's target. so far so good but am missing Lasgidi baaad! No matter how many times you change hotels, it still gets boring after a while. Even my master's class is suffering badly, heard that tests are coming up and am not even in town. pheeew! UNILAG and attendance register!

I just hope criminals stealing BBs will not be using these tools to die people's phone?
