Bia. Mukina and Seun! Is it my phone browser or what? This topic and the Man U match are mixed up on the front page. Click on one of them and it leads to the other. |
Meen! Looks like Jona and his boyz really timed this. Most folks are still in the village, and may not be able to hit the city for now because of the transport cost. The ones in the city seems to be office workers that can't afford to leave office for protest. Chai. Meanwhile, I just entered Enugu, and there is no sign of Aluta here. Life is just as usual. |
Alas! Herein goes Nairaland congregation of fools! While you are here mocking yourselves, the martyred ones are resting in peace. Remember, a fool has said in his heart, that there is no God. God doesn't owe you any more proof. |
As for churches, I agree completely. Though churches are supposed to be not for profit organisations, they have used up all the extra money that is to be used to feed the poor and the widows within the congregation to set up profit making businesses; Publishing houses, table water factories, Microfinace banks, super luxury fleets, real estates, exorbitant schools. All these things deserves to be taxed! I still wish though that today's church leadership will one day realize that while they live in opulence, some of the brethren who are supposed to have their basic necessities met by the church are actually starving. |
I find it funny that the Professor/Poet Seems to be the one that actually needs to go back to school! The Legislation is strictly against samesex marriage. Common sense tells you that You can't charge people for what they are doing inside their rooms which obviously You are not aware of. But once you announce wedding ceremony of samesex which is a public event, we will surely send the MIB after you, even if you are a PROFESSOR! Gosh! Ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the Truth. |
NaDa! My guys bad gan! They paid 13th month on the 1st Paid salary before 10th If you finish everything b4 20th, you don enter be dat. Lol |
Hah @Ajanlekoko Which kin team wey no dey feel footie? Abeg change them jare, where else will they learn strategy and team work? Unless una dey play ludo sha ![]() @Antimatter Na January bro. I was hardly in town. It ain't easy being a corporate slave ![]() @office I got my fingers full recently, dabbling into HR job Got a project to deliver, and needed some fresh pairs of hands on a term basis HR promised to deliver but bureaucracy threw in some delays that i wasn't ready for I said ok, get me the damn candidates let me grill them myself Phew! I never knew interviewing is a tedious job, It was terribly tough getting people to express themselves! Now wait for it, After painstakingly sifting through the haystack and picking some candidates Called them to resume, one of the very best said she is no more interested! I learned by force that being the employer doesn't mean you always get what you want! Now, i am officially on leave till January! Let me go soak up the harmattan, up some chilly hill |
atasteve: ![]() Just couldn't help it bro. Everything there was just on point! |
Guys, I want to share these toilette fittings i got from one of the hotels i used recently in Naija. I just love the quality and smoothness of the whole works Tried to get the mgt on the price and other info but the guy wasn't sure. That sink is actually solid glass with ceramic materials embedded inside

Hahahahahha I guess GEJ must have read a riot act to Pale BEAF and his fellow co-travelling sycophants to start spinning high sounding arguements to back up this ill thought out subsidy removal. You guys can only try to earn your pay but we already know the reality. It was very clear that right from the first day GEJ stepped into the hallowed chambers, he had no single clue about what the money saved from subsidy removal will be used for, prompting David Mark to tell him like a small boy to go back and think well on the subject matter. I still can't believe the guy is not saying anything about the refineries. With fully fuctional refineries, who needs subsidy payment? No doubt, with almost 1TR bucks on security budget alone, he is stashing enough slush funds for himself against the evil day that will soon sweep him off. Hope he knows that no amount of money can buy you security when you have a growing army of hungry and unemployed youths, whose future keeps getting darker by the day. |
Looks like Blatter is just having a dope by doing weird things? Or is he conspiring to destroy the best club team in the world? Why can't he allow for change of venue? Just don't let anything happen to the Blaugrana! Hope they won't miss the trophy because of the trauma The Brazilian guy still dey shout tremendo, tremendo! because he still dey above sea level abi? ![]() |
That was actually ''Occupy Marina''. Incidentally, i captured it live! ![]()

My advice to the work force is to down their tools and dare the mgt. They can't replace an entire skilled work force even in three months. It's either they fight it or they suffer for it Union Bank tried such earlier in the year, and NLC blew them heat underneath by Picketing, they rescinded the decision asap. |
Bright future if he can follow through those dreams. But my question is why the India trip? People are doing CCNA in Nigeria and scoring 100% all the time. Of all the three certs, only the last one CCIE, which is like PhD of Networking actually needs one to leave our shores to pursue. My advice is let him stay here and get his CCNA, get a hands on experience and then pursue the rest. |
I just got this BB message on the New Mgt decision on former PHB staff. It really looks too drastic. 'KEYSTONE BANK SLAVE-TRADE ALERT!!! JUST LIKE AIRTEL THEY ARE AT IT AGAIN! As we used our voice to fight injustice at Airtel, pls let's do same for Keystone Bank staff! D mgt of Keystone Bank, (formerly Bank PHB) has shown an outrageous disregard for d welfare & human rights of its staff & are treating us like slaves. They have cunningly swept all our years of hard work with Bank PHB into d gutter. We were all given 5days to sign outrageous offer letters failing which we will no longer have our jobs. In panic we all signed. we are all coerced into paying off d share loans given to us from d 'un-existent' Bank PHB & yet we are not paid any of our entitlements from d Bank. Almost 50% pay cut, only 10% of total staff can actually apply for 'staff loans'. Instead of 4% it is now 9% interest rate. We can't be employed at Enterprise Bank (Formerly Spring Bank) because our MD has forcefully made an unwritten agreement with their Mgt not to recruit us. Even if we get employment we are all under 6months probation irrespective of our years with Bank PHB & our confirmation depends on our ability to meet outrageous targets. Imagine not to be compensated for working for a Bank for many years of your life & then to be placed on probation despite your past performance with d risk of losing your job! Please help our fight against injustice & re-broadcast this to all your contacts. Join us with one voice & let's be loud enough. They will be forced to do d right thing Let the world hear this!!! Thank you' . |
^^^ Yeah, That's why i'm surprised @the Yellow boyz show. Still can't figure out the money house that's backing them Though i know most companies scaled through the last CBN licensing round |
@Office Good to know everybody is hitting high @Neto, keep learning bro. It's called paying your dues. Been a while here guys, I've been on a roller coaster ride for a cashless Nigeria! Call me a crusader if you wish ![]() Churning out products and processes to make sure customers are all migrated to eChannels has been my forth these past months You know the funny thing, we keep telling customers its for their own good But i tell ya, the Lords of the manor have discovered that this is actually a gold mine! So all resources are being mobilized to drive this. Anyways, my Christmas starts next week, till january ![]() Been away from family for too long @Akanlekoko What's your guys offer on mobile money, i've been seeing the yellow boyz advert Our own pact with the Indian telco collapsed midway, so we are going solo now First quarter next year is gonna be Exciting! |
@ OLUWA CHAMPION This your house is just taking shape smoothly and nicely. Am Loving it baedly. Sorry, you had to change that your former roof Coincidentally, i ran into the Nigerian reps for your former stone coated steel alloy roof right there in Enugu they showed me the original manufacturer's names inscribed on it, LLG housing, a New Zealand company. I googled it and got this site, http://www.alibaba.com/product/ng117900968-113781084-102891514/stone_coated_metal_shingles.html Hope this helps any other person that still wants to use that shingles without getting skinned by Rogue dealers out there. Personally i'm going for that for my private abode! You made me fell in love with it Grin |
And my Nominees are; 1. AJANLEKOKO, the big Boss! For showing us, 9-5ers the route to a great career path. 2. INSPIRED_MEN, for getting me auto parts from the USA, and delivering on time, without me seeing him personally. |
spyder880:Hahahaha. Oga Spyder, I was at Nike Resort recently, and my coleagues in Enugu took me to this exact joint!!! Those wood stump tables gave you out. All manner of bush meat + fresh from the tree palmy! @Am_Alone Sorry man, i just saw your thread on how you replaced the former fake roofing sheets though personally i still feel the old looks more . I've already given you guys all the accolades on page 43, after reading through your tremendous contributions. Coincidentally, i ran into the Nigerian reps for your former stone coated steel alloy roof right there in Enugu they showed me the original manufacturer's names inscribed on it, LLG housing, a New Zealand company. Phew! See what patients will have to be worrying about just because they are going to a hospital in my country? Have we got to this base level? May be folks will now be going to the hospitals with their Personal Autoclave with a Generator to power it, then demand the hospital to submit all the instruments for a well inspected sterilization process!!! |
Had to do interview for the first time last week, HR was wasting my time so i had to handle the stuff myself. I was shocked that some people just can't express themselves. One chap with 2.1 in Eng. was just looking at his feet all through, once he brings up his face to meet mine, he goes down to his feet again. I asked the other one (OND), after introducing herself 'So what do you do currently'? She was just staring at me with that feeling of 'what da hell do you mean, sir'? I had to repeat it three times, then i started explaining what i mean before she could get that. Since that day, i began to pity my HR folks. It ain't easy. |
soloqy:Bro. Which area you dey stay jare, make i dey bring sales to them going forward. Seriously, these bunch of crooks at Akerele, Surulere will just form as if they've never seen a newspaper or heard the radio ever in their lifetime. I was there last month to recharge and still got milked! They claimed they are not aware of the stop order. |
These non-reflected payments are actually the failure of the switching platforms, a la Interswitch/paydirect to successfully consumate the transaction by moving funds from your account to DSTV's account. When this happens, there's really nothing that the DSTV can do, because they are only interested in seeing the fund in their coffers and then to release the service to your decoder. Where i berate them seriously is in their callous Customer Care officers, who should have been trained well enough by now, to explain to the customers the need to go back to their banks to lodge the complaints for reversal of the unsuccessful transactions. So guys, next time you pay through any of the channels; ATM, mobile, web etc. and the service was not delivered, get in touch with your bank immediately to confirm that the transaction actually hit DSTV's account, or otherwise reverse your money for you to repay. Personally, i always use ATM's Quickteller to pay, and i get the issues sorted out once i discover it did not succeed, the only downside is that you will have lost a day or two services before noticing something is wrong. But if you detest ATMs, OTC tellers are your best friend. |
INSANITY = Doing the same thing all over and over, and yet expecting a different result. People has been asking for the picture of the sweetest house for over two months, yet you come here everyday to post the same advert ![]() |
hih-hah, hih-hah #panting # #fainting# #panting# Oh my! For the past ten days, i gave my self the assignment of going through the marathon previous 102 pages of the original thread, and then capping up this current 43! Average of 15 pages per day. Having discovered this thread late, i decided the best thing to do was to join the class from day one, it really paid off. To Spyder880(Agu Nwoke ), Am_alone, Brabus, and áll the great builders, not forgetting the ever present )you guys have inspired a whole new generation of builders, you can never imagine the impact of what you guys have done here.@Spyder, incidentally, I came into Enugu when i discovered this thread, and immediately made up my mind to get a property outright. You can't believe it, i picked up 2 plots of 60*100 in a sweet location at a good price. Knowing fully well that the coal city will always be the capital of the Eastern Region, after all the globe trotting, one still needs a cosy resting place in the beautiful hilly city to rest his bones! I will hit you up at the right time, so we can discuss ka a ga esi tinye block na ani Now that i have caught up with all the senior students, i will always attend class regularly ![]() And like the able Registrar will say, more pictures please! Meanwhile, Am_alone has not been representing here lately, has he gone to china for the interiors? I doubt if Nairaland is banned in China like FaceBook, though. Please let us see the beauty you have finally turned those previous mass of blocks. |
Well, I don't care what they write on the advert pages. Practically, my HP Probook gives me 6hrs minimum on Battery life. |
@OP This is one major issue most parents have been, and will continue to battle with as long as our educational institutions remain in this status quo. First of all find out if he is a cult member, It will be difficult for him to concentrate here since, as you submitted, your home is close to his school, meaning he will always have access to his gang to spend whatever money you give to him. There is every likely hood that he belongs to one, since there is nothing to show for all the money he had been collecting for 3 solid years!(apart from obviously running clubs/girls/booze). In that case i will advise a complete change of scene, he needs to get away from his current crop of friends/influence. Send him where ever, but let him leave your immediate environment. Secondly, telling you that he needs to go to India to do CISCO is a blatant lie. He can do the first and 2nd levels of CISCO certifications(CCNA and CCNP) right here in Nigeria. Even the only level (CCIE) that might require traveling abroad is only open to people with hands on practical experience of designing and managing network environments. |
Men. Never seen XAvier in a 6yard box mode like tonight. And he's just got the goal-den touch! Teach them Milano boyz some footy joor! |
@OP You did not specify if windows still recognizes the drive when you plug in. People are just reeling out solutions without proper diagnosis No wonder quack doctors full Naija ![]() Just know that recuva can only work if you can still access the drive on your PC, if not you will have to reel out more money to a Data recovery firm that can access a completely dead drive with special devices. I have lost two different external drives like that (windows couldn't recognize them anymore), after tons of trouble shooting, i ended up at a DR firm that gave me a quote of 45k for them to recover the files |
