This whole thing is sounding funny to me. I am just seeing this NL version of #saveOke campaign Someone i trusts twitted his plight and A/C number to me on sunday morning and i instantly wired a donation from my bank's Mobile app. I also found out most public figures on twitter were championing it, but then, i doubt if any of them verified like Ifyalways did by visiting. Well, i hope it's not a scam sha. Pray it's just a communication gap |
@Ajanlekoko Dey enjoy the global Ish jare, u've paid your dues. We pray to get there very soon. @Office, SLS is beginning to cower oo. His cash-lite policy that was driving us nuts has received a sharp downward review. Probably the Politicians have used his ill-timed donations saga to blackmail the guy into soft pedaling for them. We knew ab initio that their Ghana must go cash movement was the target of the cash-lite thingy. Errrm @Jarius, Abeg tell ur oga ooO. We don invest too much on this thing to go back now. We need ROI. |
Odunnu: I owe you a drinkHeheheehe. Ms Odunnu, thanks for the offer. Though am not down with the choice of venue (I've not heard good reviews about 8hrs) but i know we can get a better joint. Well, if you can PM me your digits or PIN, i'll let you know whenever i'm in town. |
That's strange for Uwani residents. Must be a kinda transformer issue within that vicinity. New Haven/Independence layout enjoys an average of 20hours supply daily! You can live there without owning a Gen, and still have ice cubes for your smoothie! |
Wow! Looks like the Northern youths just sprouted a fresh mindset overnight. This could be the real awakening! Signs of more things to come? Good one, though the apology demand is just too ridiculous! What will apology do? Will it take away the the 4B's (bombs, bullets, and the begging bowls)? Those leaders looted, are still looting, and are sitting on humongous pile of loot Why not demand a return of the loot? Why not demand they build certain infrastructure to atone for the evils done? Why not demand for building proper class rooms for the millions of Almajiri's sitting under the sun? Why not the Boko Harams hound them instead of innocent muslims/Christians? The Governors are demanding more oil revenue to loot, what are they doing with the ones they got? |
Many women have done virtuosly, but thou excellest them all... To my sweet mother, and my lovely wife, you are the Super moms! With more of you, raising super kids, there is hope for the future of my country! |
Is this SSG crazy or what? Does he know how much a bank loses for closing up shop for a day? What will they be blackmailing him for? Is he aware of how many staff that have lost their lives in these attacks in Ijebu and environs? I personally know a HBO of one of the branches whose bowels were spilled in the banking hall by theses servants from hell, after first of all razing down the rag tag police station nearby! The state Govt should just wake up to their responsibilities and stop this politicizing of human lives. |
Just at a glance on my mobile, I noticed some interesting new features; 1. You can quote someone directly from his/her post 2. You can see all the users currently viewing a topic. Hehehe, no more discreet visitors to some threads. Though it will also encourage diary keepers to see their fans 3. what does the 'follow' link at the bottom page do? 4. No more preview button. This might be the most beautiful feature because having to preview like 10 times on a mobile before your post gets submitted can be frustrating 5. Why not add all these features and still maintain the old color theme. That Ish is so unique from every other site? 6. when am back from church, I'll look out for more. Generally for me, the NL1 colour theme still beats this. Though with time, people will still get used to this. When I also load it on lappy, I'll see how it checks out. Kudos to Seun and the team all the same. |
This is one of the tenets of CBN's cash - light policy! Why will somebody be moving tons of cash in his entourage, is he a licensed CIT operator? I have it on good authority that some governors always have over 500mil in cash with them anytime, for settling people that come for courtesy visits as 'kola'! It's easier for politicians to whisk away our collective wealth, as long as they can carry it in cash and share at will without any trace! |
Gen: 28 vs 20 - 'And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, if God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that i go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, so that i come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God, and this stone, which i have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee'. This was the statement of a poor and a homeless man. By revelation, he knew that giving God a tenth of his possessions will not bankrupt him, but will rather enrich him. We all knew how prosperous and influential he and his off springs became. People should stop rejoicing that they don't give tithe, those who give live on a greater insight. it has nothing to do with the pastor/Rev. |
Some one said Arsenal pushed so hard, just that they couldn't come. Lol Anyways it's De Ja Vu. Season after season, they win a high profile game like this, get knocked out of the ECL and then, the collapses afterwards. Wenger must buy big to ever get a hand on any trophy again. Else, the cycle continues. |
Having uprooted 2 pre molars and filled the rest, I will recommend Ande Christe on Raymond Njoku, Ikoyi. UK trained chaps, doing great. For the guys looking for braces and cosmetic treatments, they got your back! |
Just wiNning the match by any margin is a good enough miracle for Arsenal. Any other expectations of miracle will lead to dashed dreams! |
^^^ Good thinking with that App. Is that a domestic stuff? Your company did it? We can talk? Errm, Just searched BB Appworld, it doesn't show up. |
Most of the responses here funnily shows ignorance on rampage! Now, let me try and explain some basic things about the CBN's Cash-light policy and how it affects the Church, and everybody else. *Owing to the huge cost of cash handling by Deposit Money Banks in the country, CBN decided to drive people towards alternative eChannels to save the huge cost. *Secondly, the current structure in place makes it possible for politicians to withdraw like a billion bucks from a bank, share it into 100mil cash to 10 people and everybody disappears without a trace *Knowing that Nigerians will naturally not comply with the policy with ease, going by our ingrained cash and carry mentality she decided to have a max cash transaction limits for both private and corporate accounts *A private/individual account can only do a max cumulative cash transaction of 150k, anything on top of that, the bank will charge you 100bucks per thousand. *A corporate account can only do a max cash transaction of 1mil, anything on top of that, you will be charged 200bucks per thousand. *The policy will not debar you from overshooting the limit, but the charges will, especially if the money is actually well earned and not a loot *Imagine a church, as a corporate org., going to pay in 2mil cash to the bank in a day, while 1mil will go in freely, the next 1mil will be surcharged 200bucks/thousand, amounting to 400k, then add another 5% of the 400k as VAT, that makes 500k charges in all. Now, for people talking about installing ATMs inside the church, that's even the most counter productive measure, in fact, i expect the ones that have it in their premises before now to start calling for decommissioning soon, because the idea is to not handle cash at all, but to allow all funds go into the account electronically. I can tell you as a matter of fact, that church managements have been calling banks for presentations to adopt the various cashless eChannels; PoS terminals, web payment, and the soon coming mobile money and NFC (Near field communications) transactions. Also, deployment of PoS terminals too has been going on in some churches as we write! What churches can do in the mean time, once the charges start applying by this month end in Lagos, is to encourage members to use cheques for at least all payments up to 5k, which will include Tithes, building vows, special seeds and the rest of givings. Then normal offerings which are usually lesser in value can be collected in cash and deposited to the bank. |
I thought breastfeeding mothers can't get pregnant, till the period returns ![]() Where are the Gynas in the house?? Well, i hope you run a private business, because getting another maternity leave in some companies might just be an invitation to disengagement. Husbands!!! I am warning all of you, learn to use CD for the first 12mths of the new born, your wife's body need to recover fully from the last Preg before you upload another one! |
Chief Inspired. Kindly run this report for me 2T1KR32E23C027963 regards. |
Oh my! My old constituency of Chemists! I dropped my lab coat after youth service and took on IT, never looked back though. The death of local refineries and it's ancillary industries has helped to kill these two noble professions! ![]() I am hearing that ethanol business is huge now, owing to demands from industries. Will like to invest there in the nearest future. |
netotse:Hehehe, CBN and their sanction threat? I don't take their words for anything any more, they only act where they have an entrenched interest. Check out today's paper you'll still see full page advert from the yhello gang, then the TV version still runs during EPL games. @Office My office really took over subsidy sponsorship for me since GEJ dropped the ball. I just got my phone bill limit moved up by 300% and also got a mint official ride to boot! (Work plenty this year, really) So i just drive up the gas station, fill up and zoom off, hahahahaha, Life is really good! @ Ajanlekoko, Telcos are dulling my POS business badly! When are we getting the dedicated bandwidth you guys and CBN promised us for seamless transactions on these terminals. You know this whole cashless thingy won't see the light of day if we don't tidy up this very important alternative Channel. I spend time and resources deploying terminals at merchant locations, only to find out that transactions are not being consummated most of the times! aaaaaaarrrghhhh!!! I dey vex for una ooo |
Hey Stagger! You can stagger your way to hell for all I care. You are just being calous and gloating over people's misfortune as if that your so called business cannot pack up overnight. How will they patronize you with so much hatred in your heart? How many mouths do you personally feed apart from your immediate family? That's even if you are married. How many indigent students can thank God that they are in school today because you care. It is so stupid of you not to know in this country that the Banking sector is the single largest employer of both refined and menial skill in this country. Have you thought of all the cleaners, security men, drivers, contract staff, and all the support businesses that goes jobless, apart from the core 1,500 graduates for all the Intercontinental branches that is being closed down? Take your vile to Akingbola and his board that ruined the business if you care, and not to the foot soldiers that were doing their jobs as assigned to them. |

While the sack of these 1,500 staffers are terrible enough, more than that is that even the remaining 3000+ has been given a horribly scripted offer letter to sign within one week, or face the revolving door also. I was with an affected staffer in Church today who told me he is still brooding over the offer letter which puts you under probation as a new staff with slashed salaries and no allowances, and confirmation is already pre-programmed not to happen. Guys, let's look beyond our hatred for 'bankers'. Some of these guys feed upward of 10 people directly and also most small businesses depend on their patronage to survive. At the end of the day, we are all in this thing together because it is our economy that is shrinking! |
I bought from LAGOS mallams today @165 as I didn't even price. I wish I had seen the post for 163 before trading. I would have driven the bargain. |
This is really a million dollar question! I have discovered that buying insecticides of any form is a complete waste of money and risk of contaminating your food/drinks. Firstly, mosquitoes are highly mobile, clear a batch today, by tomorrow as you open your door on return from work, another set moves in with you! Then secondly, i had an encounter with someone that ran into a factory where all, i repeat ALL the different insecticide brands are being manufactured (i wonder what NAFDAC is doing these days), by just pouring in kerosene into the cans, with just a drop of the supposed active ingredient. Best advice; Get yourself a treated mosquito net for less than 3k. It will last you up to two years if you hang it very well, even when the active ingredients fades out, you are still protected from those vampires ![]() Caveat: The fumes from the nets are injurious to the eyes if used after unpacking immediately! Spread it out in an airy environment for like 2days before hanging over your bed. |
MTN is really acting so desperate here. CBN has not awarded any Mobile telco the Mobilemoney Licence and has told MTN to desist from deceiving the public by it's numerous adverts. Surprisingly, those adverts are still airing, now they've added SMS marketing to it. Buyers Beware! |
Firstly I bought in Enugu @145 at MRS in the morning. Got to Ore and bought @97 at a private station. Funny thing happened at one of the NIPCO stations in Enugu yesterday, we were lined up to buy @160 when suddenly, NTA crew arrived the scene. The folks switched off and closed shop. |
Ever so gullible people. Shouting sLS blah. Blah. Blahh. Ok. Such incriminating evidence is available to government How many of the perpetrators of the fraud has been called in for questioning ![]() How many has been arrested and charged ![]() What is the job of ICPC and EFCC again ![]() Sanusi should just STFU |
Wow! @OP. Can't believe you wrote this way back in November. Most people called you names but the script is actually playing out gradually. When the chips are really down, The likes of Beaf will be roasted and fed to hungry dogs. Then he will become real a 'beaf' for the beasts. |
I just got this message purported to be Levi's sign off words: Dr Levi Ajuonuma ( Group General Manager, Corporate Affairs of NNPC): I have followed the subsidy debate/protest and must confess that we at NNPC have not helped in the fight against corruption. I can authoritatively say that the N1.3trillion is not the true figure but given as a result of the corrupt tendencies of the cabal. This astronomical increase in 2011 was purely political. Also, our local consumption figure as published is absolutely incorrect. For the sake of my children and children's children, we must investigate this fraud. From PPPRA, to NNPC, Independent Marketers, Port Authorities, retired Generals and Other top government officials. Although, the whole fraud existed before 2007, the reasonable take off should be 2007 to date. Consequently, I have decided to resign my appointment as the Group General Manager, Corporate Affairs of NNPC. If this is true, then the #occupynigeria movement is achieving tremendously. We have to push them to the level of exposing themselves. |
@honerico Where exactly are the SEast CLO folks that are giving the directive? Enugu is as cool as anything as I write. All businesses are running smoothly, apart from some banks that are doing skeletal services. Probably, because the mostly privately owned businesses never expect anything from the govt. They cared less. |
A beautiful articulation of all the holes that have been picked from this govts hurried implementation subsidy removal. Let's see what the madam's response will be on this. Really, we shouldn't be talking about subsidy removal because it is an aberration in the first place. We should go back to a state where nobody needs to be subsidized at all. We have no business importing refined pms. |
