The work stress might be the issue because they are greatly understaffed and the equipments to work with which isn't okay but talking about pay. How do you expect Nigeria to be able to pay the same with the US.

The fault is that we do not pay the actual cost of generating and producing power. We pay a subsidised price.We also have people who are not paying for the power they use...rich and poor alike.

So, at the end, there isn't enough money to expand and fix power.

I AM NOT DEFENDING ANY USELESS GOVERNMENT. I am merely pointing out that the UK has power because they pay for the actual cost. We don't because we pay too low a cost for it...because we are a poor nation. Meanwhile, government failures to diversify the economy mean there is limited cash to make up the shortfall.

Heck, Buhari even made matters worse by freezing prices for power between 2017-19. Meanwhile costs of gas, maintenance costs, etc went up. Tinubu is continuing in the same vein. How are companies going to make a profit to pay for improvements, like their UK counterparts.?

Nigeria's problem is that most of what we pay for power , light and fuel is subsidised.

Result, the companies do not make much money and they provide bad service as a result.

Did I even mention the fact that 40 percent of Nigerians do not even pay for power?

UK on the other hand does not subsidised power, petrol or water. As a result, bills are high, but because you are paying the actual price you get your value for money .

Anytime it has been suggested Nigerians should pay market price for utilities and petrol we get the usual poverty answer

I personally use to do dumpster diving in those days as a student (Google dumpster diving) come see fresh food na that people no longer need. My fridge was usually full with all kinds of foods...
