The reason for that FCT clause was to ensure the importance of the FCT as the capital and the seat of power in governance. Hence, any winner of the Presidential election must secure at least 25% votes in the FCT to ensure that his govt is acceptable to some extent in the state capital. That is the true interpretation of that aspect of the electoral law. Tinubu failed to meet that requirement. Personally, I don't even trust the electoral court to interpret that law in it's true sense because they will try to avoid throwing the country into chaos if they say it the way it is and nullify Tinubu. What I perceive is they will turn blind eyes and let Tinubu and then the NASS will later try to amend that aspect of the law to remove the FCT clause. But that spells injustice for the voters |
muykem:Mumu boy. Does it occur to you that igbos are important stakeholders in Lagos developmental project? A huge chunk of IGR of Lagos state come from taxes paid by Igbo businesses in Lagos. When it comes to paying taxes in lagos, igbos should be largely involved, but when it comes to voting in Lagos state, igbos should hands off, abi? Werey gidi niooo. |
porthouse7:Now you have changed your narrative. You first started by showing your anger that Yemi the only Yoruba dude in the house was evicted because the igbos refused to vote for him and the organizers who are supposedly igbos were biased against him. Now when I made u see some reason, u are saying your argument wasn't about Yemi. You have changed your narrative. I want to make u understand that the organizers don't have a single influence on how the show runs. -It wasn't the organizers that refused to make HOH so he doesn't stand eviction. -It wasn't the organizers that tell the housemates not to save Yemi each time he stands for eviction. - it wasn't the organizers that told viewers and voters to vote for Yemi each time. - it wasn't the organizers that told Yemi to allow himself to be distracted with stupid love for the ugly South African girl. So tell me how the organizers were biased against Yemi? Let me tell you for free that Yemi had a huge fan base in Nigeria. That was why he kept surviving eviction each week. Yemi was evicted simply because he was up for eviction the week Nigeria was doing Presidential elections and most Nigerians were more focused on the election than Big Brother, and as such most people in Nigeria who would have voted to save Yemi didn't vote. So he got evicted. There was never any bias against him. Khosi who he was following up and down is still in the house and now frolicking with her South African boy - Thabang. Let Yemi blame his sorry ass for his stupidity. |
porthouse7:Suspicious indeed. Do you know how they became housemates? Dont u know it is thru auditioning? So if u think it was by mere selection, why dont u try your luck and get selected as the only Yoruba housemate? And by the way, why are u so freaking pained by yemi's eviction? The dude was simply stupid for losing his focus on the game and got played along by smart ass khosi. Even small Thabang is smarter than Yemi. Dude simply just don't know what he came for. |
porthouse7:So because Yemi (just one Yoruba housemate) was evicted, you are bitterly playing tribal card? How sad. Olivia is Igbo, she was evicted. Jenni O is Igbo, she was evicted long ago. Miracle is Igbo, he was evicted. All of them are Igbo, but the so called Igbo organisers you say are bias watched these Igbo people being evicted, they were favoring igbos abi? You are really a bitter ethnic bigot. Go purge yourself of undue sadness. |
porthouse7:Na wa oooo. See as una carry tribalism enter the show and dividing Nigerians. |
Shame |
ProphetM0hammad:What did I say you are?? Do I look like Igbo man? Daft idiot. |
ProphetM0hammad:You are a big fool for supporting these injustice just because it serves your interest. Yorubas are setting a bad precedent in the elections for other states to follow. When other states start doing this, I hope u won't complain. Imagine when northerners start stopping non indigenes from voting? |
FFK just took another sniff from his expired weed. |
While it usually baffles me how commoners allow themselves to be tools in the hands of politicians to engage in criminalities, but the fact still remains that it is only a criminal minded person that will have the tendencies to easily commit crime. No matter the kind of inducement, anyone who isn't inclined to criminality will never engage in crime. A thief is a thief, A thug is a thug... it will only take a little to trigger the will to commit the crime. Personally, I always say crime is a product of bad parenting. I put the blame on their parents. Shame on any parent whose child is a criminal. |
Hmmm. I just come dey pity this Sanwo-olu man. See as Shalaye come dey plenty as man see himself being booted out of office by the Masses he thought were inconsequential. I like the present turn of political scenarios where politicians are now afraid of the voters knowing the real power belongs to the masses. No more Election rigging by politicians. We are slowing getting to times when crooked politicians will not bother to contest for elections knowing they can't win over the masses. Thanks to BVAS and upload of results from polling units. |
Very good analysis. My opinion is that the court (if they want to be even honest with the facts) might want to opt for a middle ground by cancelling the elections and order a fresh elections. But whatever the judgement, that calamity called Buhari must not stay one day beyond his tenure. |
funshint:Dude go back to school. You can't even spell "there". So at your age, you don't know the difference between there and their? No wonder you are supporting Agbero like Tinubu. Common get off this platform and go and register for JSS two class. Mor0n |
They know the truth na. They just want to get a piece of Tinubu bullion van dollars. |
Gossiphub:Shut up. Enter streets on election day and snatch ballot boxes if you don't want to allow positive change to happen. I will sit in my cool corner and read on Nairaland that you have been mobbed and killed for election violent. Omo Ale like you. |
sammirano:You are really pained. You are in sifia pain and your stomach is bursting out with vexation. You can't even hide it. Pls don't choke in your pain. Sorry for you. But how do you actually intend to put them in place after the elections?? By thuggery and molestation? Such acts will only land you in jail if you are not dead in the act. People voting for LP are common masses of various ethnicity who are simply tired and want an end to Tinubu's tyrannic and nonsensical hold on Lagos. And mind you, they are doing it legitimately by performing a simple civic duty of voting. Is that a crime? If you are not a thug, it shouldn't bother you. Enough of Bad and criminality in governance. |
IyaebeTheGreat:Your foolishness is beyond doubt. Even Tinubu will tell you the Peter Obi movement shook him to the bones. If there is any thing that is very certain now... It is the fact that many governors are shitting their pants with fear as LP can unseat them. |
Really? Which kind pastor is she that she fights in the Senate like a female agbero? That woman na confirmed thug on little doses of her husband's meth. |
Tinubu supporters come and defend your grandpa o |
I think your statement is totally senseless. |
Sad |
Timoleon:Must the police use live bullets to diaperse unarmed protesters?? |
Clueless slowpoke |
Confused and Clueless Buhari and Emefiele have finally driven the country to a point of hopelessness. Court says old notes are legal tender, CBN says old notes ceases to be legal tender. Nigerians are left confused. Nigerians have monies in their accounts but have become beggars because Emefiele and Buhari have decided to be wicked with a good but poorly implemented policy that is slowly driving the country into recession. Someone should tell the clueless bunch of Buhari and Emefiele that Economics is different from politics. You don't use an economic tool to fight a political war. The Naira note change and cashless policy is a good policy but poorly implemented because of elections. Nigerians are suffering because of the paucity of New notes. |
airsaylongcome:LoL, in 1984 I was already in secondary school. Old enough to understand the change. But it wasn't as you are narrating. Though Gen Buhari made the change to notes then presumably to counter the lootings of politicians like Umaru Dikko, Joseph Wayas and Shehu Shagari cabinet |
Good to bring these old notes to remembrance. The fact is, these notes were changed without hiccups because the transition process was such that the old notes and the new ones were used simultaneously for a period of 4-6months while gradually withdrawing the old ones. But in this current situation; the govt is playing politics and wanting to rush things with a thin timeline of less than 40days. |
This silly school dropout girl no even get common shame. The most brainless person ever on the show. All she does is gossip, gossip and gossip. She has even started gossiping herself. Mumu girl with Nothing upstairs. |
useni1:Your name sounds like Osama Bin ladin. With that type of name, there is every possible reason why you would hate anything US and support any country against the US. Same reason why u could not even bother to condemn China for over stepping their boundaries. If the US had shot down the balloon without hesitation, you would have complained that they didn't even bother to find out what it was. And the US took time to investigate, you still accuse them of being slow. In your mind, you think China can take on the US in a full blown war and win? Go and make comparisons of both countries weapons and decide. Werey!!! |
Mumu talk from the greatest dullard that ever resided in Aso villa. After he opened border for his Niger Republic terrorist brothers to come in and rig elections for him, then he built railway to Niger Republic for their easy access to come and practice banditary in Nigeria, and now he is talking about making borders tight. Is it the borders to be tight for his brothers not to be able to go out of Nigeria ![]() Oloshi oloriburuku ode. Abeg make May 29th come so you get your sorry ass out of the villa so Nigerians will get a sigh of relief. Nonsense bigot that will go into oblivion immediately he leaves office. I blame Tinubu for allowing this calamity of a man befall Nigerians. |
Zenith Bank and criminality on customer account are like 5&6. There are no ways hackers have access to customers account without compromise on the part of the banks. And Zenith Bank comes top when it comes to that. |
