What do you know small boy? I am not Igbo man. And for your information, contrary to your claims, the igbos have been never been servitude to the North. Rather they rebel against the North. And the North don't align with the igbos but prefer the Yorubas. So in your mind, Atiku or Tinubu will win Igbo states?? I dey laugh o. Tinubu will win Western states. Peter Obi will win Igbo States Atiku will win most northern states. |

franchasofficia: Atiku will win:
Adamawa Kano (very small margin) Gombe Jigawa (small margin) Sokoto Yobe (small margin) Zamfara Kaduna (small margin)
But with very small margins.
Tinubu will win:
Katsina (small margin) Borno Kogi Kwara Lagos (small margin) Osun Ogun Ekiti Oyo Ondo (small margin)
Peter Obi will win:
Anambra Imo Abia Enugu Ebonyi Edo Rivers Cross Rivers Akwa Ibom Delta Benue Plateau (small margin) Taraba (small margin) Abuja Bayelsa I agree with you 90%. But add Kebbi, (maybe Taraba) and Nassarawa to states Atiku will win. Kano might swing either way between Atiku and Tinubu. But, the 85% fact is that, the election will go into a re-run as there won't be a clear winner. |

My Sincere condolence on the lose of your wife. May her soul rest in peace.
But what exactly is your purpose of bringing her death to public space? Is it to show your love her? Is it to win public sympathy? Is it to tell the world you are free?
Would she have wanted the publicity?
Some private issues such as mourning a wife or husband should be kept in private space. As grown ups we need to set boundaries between our private lives and public issues. Enough said.
Once again my sincere condolence on your wife demise. |

Hmmm. As the 3rd Largest voting population state, Rivers State is very critical to the outcome of the 2023 elections. Lagos State which is arguably the largest, seem to be on the verge of being shredded by 3 the major parties. Same with Kano state which is the 2nd largest. Atiku knows his winning Rivers depends largely on Wike supporting him. He Atiku had surcharged Wike 2 times on the build up of the Presidential tickets. And he also knows Wike can be unforgiving and dogged in payback. That is why he is doing all he can to send entourages to placate Wike. Wike on the other hand knows, he is the coveted bride right now. APC and Labour Party are watching and eyeing him to woo him and get Rivers vote Incase Wike decides to play dirty against Atiku.
For the Wike I know, I think he will play as if all is well. Then ensure that PDP wins governorship election in Rivers, then Atiku loses in Rivers to likely LP. You can't beat Wike twice and walk away without him wanting to prove a point. I am waiting to see how it plays out. |

Family › Re: Share Your Experiences Using This Electrical Appliance. by CharleyBright(m): 4:17pm On Jun 22, 2022 |
placeofallure: I'll never ever forget. It was December 26, 1999
The fanti carnival was going on from street to street, there was a procession of happy people dancing and all.
A neighbour plugged water with this appliance, she wanted to make eba. There was power outage and on hearing the sounds of drumming outside, she left to go see the procession without unplugging the boiling ring. She even followed the procession.
Shortly after, power was restored. Nobody knew that the house was in flames until it was too late. The lady, a teenager at the time left her sleeping baby in the room. Somebody had to do a Jack Bauer stunt to go pull out the baby.
Our apartment was right next to where the fire started. I wasn't even home, just my kid brothers and sisters. Our parents have traveled to celebrate Christmas in our village. My big sis too wasn't home. That was how the entire building was razed, as in totally razed at Christmas.
The fire was fast. It had caught all the ceilings, so when people rushed in to pick things, the ceiling was dropping on them, they had to abort the mission. We didn't bring out a pin from the fire. We had just the clothes we were wearing, no pants nothing. I'm mostly pained about my pictures. All the childhood pictures, those memories gone.
People in the neighborhood started donating stuff ranging from clothes to food, to money. We became destitute. Our parents had to cut short their trip. We slept with friends, family etc for about 3 months before we got our groove back. I had to return to school a week or so after the fire incident. Before then, I moved in with my bf now hubby. My dad had to cough out money for new clothes apart from the normal semester expenses, my bf too. I came back after the semester to a new apartment.
Since then, you'd never see me use that thing, Never! Quite a horrible experience u have painted. I can even picture it on my mind. What happened to the sleeping baby? You said not a single pin was salvaged. Pls Don't tell me the baby died in the fire. The mother would have ran mad with her carelessness if the baby died. So disheartening. |

We don't mind Peter Obi to be stingy. Let him be stingy and cut down the bloated cost of governance. Let him come and cut down the extravagant Ministerial spendings. Let him come and cut down salaries of government officials. Let him come and cut down govt expenditures on foreign trips. Let him come and do all these, we don't mind. So long as money is saved to be utilised in infrastructural development. If Tinubu should pick a Northern Christian as VP, Dogara is far better choice than that Mumu called Lalong.
Anyways, Tinubu's Presidential ambition is Dead On Arrival.
He picks a Northern Muslim, - a Muslim/ Muslim ticket is DOA for Southern Christians.
He picks a Northern Christian - the ticket is DOA as far as core Northern Muslim fanatics are concerned. Tinubu can not go and stand before Kano voters and present a Christian VP and expect Kano people to vote for him. Lai- Lai, they won't.
So technically, Tinubu is a Goner in between the devil and the deep blue sea. |

Moonshine101: Hello Everyone!
I have a family issue but I don't have someone to speak to about it, so I'm very grateful for your inputs on this matter.
SOME BACKSTORY (You can skip this if you want): I'm the youngest of my two siblings (26M). I have a sister and a brother. My sister's kinda okay. My brother (35) is a selfish, toxic and entitled person. He dropped out from the university, doesn't have a job and he steals from my parents like my dad's watches or property or my mum's jewellery and then sells them to buy weed or something.
One time he sold my mum's car and after some police and legal issue that basically went nowhere, she basically had to steal it back (The guy who bought it, passed away a little while after, so I guess that case is closed..), he once took my phone while I was sleeping because I refused to give him a different phone I had, that belongs to me after selling his own phone or something. It's like he acts solely on impulse. My dad (who's in his 70s now) is almost always on security alert when my brother is around. As for my mom, she just straight up enables him and bails him out of trouble every time, saying things like "He's your brother" or "God will change him" when I talk to her about it. My brother and I got into a fight, like a year before I left for university, because he wanted to look around my room to see if I had his usb cable despite me telling him I don't have it nor have I seen it. That was the last time I willingly spoke to him.
My family moved into a new house and I finally left for school (my brother stayed in the old house and my sister moved in with her husband after marriage, so it was just him over there). During my 3rd year, I called my dad, asking him for some money because I was broke, and during the phone call, my dad tells me that he's at the hospital cuz my brother and some girl just had a kid. okay.. I came back for holidays and found out that his baby mama (who's also toxic and insults people alot) and kid, my nephew, are staying with us, with my parents providing for them while my brother stays in the older house, renting it out to people (who messed up the house and compound to the point it just became a disgusting place to live in) obviously without permission from my parents (who don't even own that house, it belongs to my uncle). By the time I graduated and came back home, he was now living with us in the new house because free food and no bills, I guess.
I haven't gotten a job yet so I'm stuck here.
Recently, he's been staying away from me because I don't talk to him or even look at him.
BACK TO THE TOPIC: Around a year ago, I had a serious wakeup call and decided that, if I was going to go forward in life I would have to better myself so I began a journey of meditation and self-improvement, and I think I've made some good progress. Now the issue is my brother---earlier today, I saw him scouting our house (after my parents went out) and I could instantly tell he was up to no good. I was cooking when I began to hear some noise from upstairs like he was hacking at something. He came downstairs and readied his car while my cousin who stays with us (19) carried the AC unit my brother was planning to sell. Usually I'll just mind my business and avoid him because he's an adult-child (narcissist) and I think he'll just put his vindictive sights on me if I interfere, but this time I don't know what came over me..
I called my cousin and demanded where he was taking that AC to. I then asked my brother (first time in years I've spoken to him) why he was taking it, he just gave one nonsense flimsy excuse then I told my cousin to return it. When he tried to explain whatever, I didn't acknowledge his presence, I just ignored him and ate my food. He just stood there staring at me for like 3 minutes before he left while murmuring something.
The main reason I've been avoiding him for long is because he's toxic and I decided that family or not, toxicity is still toxicity. He's very exploitative and once he familiarises with someone it's like an opening to trample the person's boundaries. I think I confronted him today because the more you ignore bad/evil the stronger it becomes and eventually it will come for you except now it'll be stronger from all the experience.
The issue is, I don't want to relapse into my old life of toxicity by further engaging him if he decides to steal from me on get physical because he's the kind of person that only listens to actions, not words. Please, what do you think I do? Hmmmm. I read thru your story in details. Very sad. Truth be told, this is a classical case of bad parenting gone wrong. Your parents (especially your mum) condoned bad attitudes from your brother and didn't do enough to curb bad attitude while your brother was a teenager, and that has grown to become a huge problem in the family as he has grown to become an adult that can't be controlled. The fact is, God forbid, your parents life are at risk if they have high blood pressure or poor health challenges like your dad seem to be displaying. Emotionally trauma from children bad manner have led parents to early grave. Now here is the way out. Firstly, he is your brother and he is family, but however your parents must stamp their feet down and get him out of their house even if means renting a house for him. He is an adult, he must not be staying with his parents hence he becomes too dependent as a child which he is doing now. Secondly, you must stay on with your parents to support and protect them from your brother for the time being. They need that protection. You leaving the house is making them vulnerable. Thirdly, as a family you all need to have an extensive family meeting to ask your brother critical questions about his life and what he intends to make out of it (even if it means bringing in extended families into the discussion). Finally, how does a family handle a bad nuisance of a son? Disregard, disown or get rid of him?? OR Find a way of getting him to become responsible by commiting him into something that will engage him meaningfully? The best option is the latter, cos disowning or getting rid of him always backfires as he will always be coming back to cause trouble. So in getting him engaged in something meaningful, your family should be ready to get him into a trade or a business of his passion or flair. That will depend on how much they are willing to spend. On a last note, your brothér is a time bomb waiting to happens. I have seen such cases many times and it doesn't always end well. I recall an exact case like this that the father ended up shooting the son dead when he really got fed up with the sons atrocities. I also know another incident where the mother got the bad son arrested for stealing people's contribution monies she kept, and while in police custody, the son was stabbed to death in cell. Your family have to be careful in dealing your brother. May God give your family the grace to handle him. |

Promzy99: We're Going To Court With The Newspapers That Mentions “Fulani” In Their Report Of OWO Massacre- Ahmad Shehu News Hub Creator Jun 6, 2022 7:27 AM It was reported that some terrorists invaded a Catholic Church in Owo local government area of Ondo State, On Sunday, killing scores and injuring dozens.
The incident caught the people unawares as the terrorists invaded the church and started shooting sporadically, wounding many injured and killing some.
However, the Nigerian police have not revealed the peneprators of this act, as investigations are still ongoing.
Some News platforms have published that the terrorists were Fulani's. Reacting to the reports from some News Media and Newspaper, an Assistant Professor in the American University Of Nigeria, Ahmad Shehu has threatened that they would be going to court with the Newspapers that mentioned the word, “Fulani” in their report of the Owo Massacre.
He noted that Nigerian journalists must be educated about ethnic profiling.
Below is the screenshot of his original statement gotten from his twitter handle;
Referring to the peneprators of the Owo massacre as “Fulani” is totally wrong as the police have not revealed the real identity of the terrorists, we hope that the public would desist from doing so and and wait for the report from the Police. Who is this fool? 90% of Fulani Makes are with Daggers. 90% of people with Daggers and other weapons are likely to use them. 90% of those likely to use these weapons are Terrorists. And from the above, 90% of Fulani Males are Terrorists. Live with that simple fact. And if u are among the remaining 10%, thank God for your life. |

But too many questions has been popping up in my brain ever since I read about the sad news..
What if this killing was in the east? How would my Yoruba brothers react to it?
They would have mocked and blamed ipob as usual..
They would have reminded us how igbos are killing igbos, how south east is gradually turning to Afghanistan..
They would've exonerated Fulanis and blame ipob instead..
When the bishop that was kidnapped by fulani terrorists was narrating his ordeal in the hands of these monsters, our Yoruba brothers were saying all sorts of things, they said the bishop was lying and only saying what ipob asked him to say..
Now I wonder who the Yorubas would blame for this attack.
Are they going to blame the innocent Fulanis as they made us believe that Fulanis are innocent,or are they going to blame ipob or ESN??
You don't throw stone while you no you live in a glass house..
He that support injustice will surely experience injustice..
I wish this will be an eye opener to all of us..
We have only one enemy..
Rip to those that lost their lives in that church massacre.. Foolish headline. |
