MessiahMARLIANS:
Wow.... 2 million Naira is really too much.

Your wife must also be very precious to her family. If she's well educated, some families go as high as getting this kind of amount as bride Price - so I have confirmed.

Thanks to God Almighty that you already have your desires.

How many Leaders of Tomorrow do you have now?

My Leaders of Tomorrow will soon join them up in the game of life.

As A Digital And Societal Entrepreneur and Rabbi;

I Intend Creating Vital Marriage Solutions to The Many Issues of Marriages which has become Big Problems in The Lives of Many People as I get ushered into The Institute of Marriage.

Grace Already Found Me. wink

Following You Already.
Yes, she is the most valuable wife anyone can hope to have. Am not kidding.
And to tell you the truth, I don't regret paying that much for the traditional marriage list. ( Though I didn't like the way the extended family and villagers tried to extort me with unnecessary demands on the list).
But no good woman comes easy.

I think you are marrying a good wife, and her family are good too.

... But I hope your family will accept her and treat her well as she is not your tribe.
That's one of the bad sides of inter tribal marriage o.

But you have the final say on how your marriage turns out, so be in control and don't let your family drive your marriage for you.

Happy married life in advance.

Why can't they protest against them No fuel situation under Buhari as Petroleum Minister?

You sound like you are married already.
My brother, I have been married almost 2 decades now. So you can roughly guess my age.
And to tell you the truth, the marriage list I was given years ago will make u weep and consider this list u got as child's play.
Imagine being given a list of almost N2million almost 20yrs ago, and items on the lists were non negotiable.
All because they knew were I was working.

You fail to see the bigger picture . The more attractive education is for the North and the policy leading to more enrolment , the better for nigeria .

The south will do just fine . Even if they say the kids should learn Mandarin as a compulsory course , they will easily do. The southern kids are a brilliant bunch . Also Children can learn other languages easily . Nothing bad in learning another language . It improves intelligence .
Nope, it is not about bigger picture. There can't be a bigger picture if there is no real picture.
I rather think you fail to see the real picture here.

What is the ratio of teacher to pupils in public schools?
No less than 1: 30.

How will teaching pupils in their mother tongues be achievable under this scenario when Nigeria has over 500 languages??
Will a classroom teacher teach the pupils her own mother tongue or will she have to learn each pupils mother tongue to teach them?
Let's me realistic, it is not possible. It is a futile policy meant to serve the interest of some people who conceived it.

That China did it don't mean Nigeria should adopt it too. Nigeria is not China.
China ran and succeeded with that mother tongue educational policy simply because their native mother tongue is Mandarin. It was easy for them because they have a single language. Nigeria has diverse mother tongues. It won't work with Nigeria unless the govt intends to kill other languages and impose the 3 major languages.

I don't like to argue with mo.rons. You are convinced your language is inferior and cannot be used for learning. The lack of confidence in your self, in your language, in your culture is exactly what your colonizer wanted. I think they did a good job on you. Stupid house slave, the chains are off but you remain in slavery nonetheless. Olodo.
What are the intrinsic values of knowing how to speak English.
Are you allowed to perform surgery on people just because you can speak English? Are you allowed to build bridges and skyscrapers just because you can speak English? Olodo lasan lasan.
Why don't you let us switch this conversation to our mother tongue and see where the discourse would end?
And how about you start posting on Nairaland with your mother tongue?
What happens when everyone becomes native champions trying to assert and impose their mother tongues on others?
What value will mother tongue add to the fallen standards of education?
Clueless people supporting clueless policies that leads nowhere.
Nigeria is too divided on tribal lines, we don't need clownish policies to thwart and balcanize our education further.
Mother tongue ko, Father lips ni.

Ori e o pe. Water down education? What is your definition of education, the ability to speak English? Olodo.
Mumu boy.
Go back to school let them use your language to teach you again and let's see the result.
Continue to support aboki selfish policy that is meant to enshrine their dominance.
Will your mother tongue education compete in international market.
Countries are trying to move progressive forward, una dey foolishly support aboki backward policies.
This damn outlandish policy is meant to cater for illiterate northerners who can't cope with learning and speaking English.
It does not add any value.

Nothing bad in allowing your child to learn the predominant language of your host community . Most Igbo kids that grew up in the south west can speak Yoruba fluently .
It is actually a great move if well implemented . In terms of integration of the country and ability of students to understand better what they are taught .
I see it as a baby step towards removal of state of origin and having state of residence .
The problem with most southerners is that we continually fail to realise that the North has never embark on a policy without a plan that serves her interest.
To what purpose is this very Mumu policy? Is it to unite the already disunited Nigeria that Buhari caused?
Nigeria has over 500 native languages. If every child has to be taught in their mother tongue, how is that possible for teachers to do that when the ratio of teacher to pupils is 1: 30 at the very least in public schools??

In what way will mother tongue help develop the country?

Besides, the North has an almost uniformed Hausa language while the South is much more diversified . So the policy will favor the North.
What will happen is that Hausa language will become the only language used to teach in schools in the North, and any one who doesn't understand Hausa is left in the dark.

Make una think well and analyze issues before una support.
The North plan well and execute policies to their advantage, the southern people always foolishly support and later cry foul when they realise their folly.

Tinubu will lose all northern states aside kwara

And Peter Obi doesn't stand a chance winning up to 2 states in the North.

Peter Obi should focus more on getting 25% votes in the Northern states. If he doesn't, Tinubu will be the next President. It is a sad fact.

But I lived in the north and I know them well (especially Muslim North) when it comes to supporting a SE candidate.
Acquiring 2/3 in Northern states is the mountain Peter Obi need to climb o.
That's where Tinubu will floor Peter Obi.
80% average Northern Muslims would rather vote Tinubu than Peter Obi.
And Muslims constitute more than 70% of core North.
So the chances of Peter Obi acquiring 2/3 in core northern Muslim states is very slim

To score cheap political points, Buhari govt used fake Rice Pyramid and told humongous lies about rice being grown in abundance in the North.
They commissioned the scam project and after 3wks they dismantled the wooden Pyramid and the 1,000 bags of so called rice pyramid doesn't exist anymore
What we have now is rising price of rice as the quality gets lower and lower.
Buhari and his northern brothers are scams.
Won't it be better Buhari open borders and let the foreign rice flood the market and push the prices down?
Is it not better for the common man to buy a bag of good quality foreign rice for N15k m, than buy poor quality local rice for N45k all in the name of promoting local farmers??

The problem I keep having with Social Media is that it keeps invading and abusing people's privacy in the name of chasing clout.
I have right to sue anyone that carries my private pictures and dumps them online for "negative public consumption" .
How will the couple feel seeing their private picture generating negativity online? These are the things the whites use to cash out big time. By the time they finish suing your sorry arse and claiming damages, you will learn to respect people's private and be careful what you post online.
