Take your time to go through the link below all you need is in there. https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports.htmlBlueberryblast: Hello house, please i apologize in advance for dragging everyone back with my question. I have an emergency and its a bit urgent that's why.
I went to the post office for my baby's US passport, they told me i had to bring a notarized consent from hubby. The post office guy gave me the consent form and said i can scan it to DH. when he's done with notarization, he can scan back to me and i can print and bring. i just went there now with a printed copy of the notarized form and the lady i saw today said they won't accept it, that he has to find a way to send back the original notarized form to me from Nigeria before i can apply for a US passport.
My question is: 1) Please is there anyhow i can go about this US passport thing without wasting time trying to courier the notarized consent form cos i need to leave here in a matter of days as i have an emergency?
2)someone told me i can get the US passport within 24hours or on a 2weeks processing basis depending on which one i choose, but the lady said i have to wait for 6weeks to get it. 6weeks is totally a no-no for me right now as i dont even have up to that amount of time. Please how can i expedite the US passport and what will it cost please?
3) can i also use this same notarized consent form for the Nigerian visa? if not, please what consent letter or form do i need from hubby to process the Nigerian visa?
Please help me o! I'm appealing? TIA. |

To the best of my knowledge non ( that is you are talking of US BC ) just walk into the facility where you intend to collect it with your id. The forms are there for you to fill FOC. The rest is as directed at the location. fasttrack: please who has a sample of a consent letter to collect a babys birth cirtificate |

You stand a chance of getting a visa especially if you can proof that you can cover the cost for the trip and have strong ties back home in Nigeria e.g. your job which you have stated pays well. So you be your own sponsor, if you ask me. If the babies father is still singing the same song with you ( you know what I mean) then you can put his name on BC then go with the notorised form for that purpose to get American passport and his ie passport page and consent letters for Nigeria embassy runs ( I said letters depending on the final decision you take when you get there) passport, visa or ETC. Finally if he ( ie baby dad) is not on the planet again you might consider not putting his name on BC for now just to get you guys home easy. It can be added latter. Moqq: Hello house,
Please I need VO and POE firsthand feedback from any single mum or anyone who knows any single mum. I need info so as to apply for my visa. I want to use my dad as my sponsor and I also have a great paying job, so proof of burden should not be a problem. Got my hospital and doctor correspondence already. Do I stand a chance of getting my visa?
Biko help a sister. Thank you |

Endeavour to convince the POE that you can foot the bills for the entire parole. Staying in a hotel or rented apartments is ok. I was in your shoes at one time. I will use address of where I plan to stay if I was you. diranseun: Good day. Pls I need your advice on my issue. Had a successful interview in June and after that we realized wife was 10 weeks pregnant. (we were not sure because of some pills she used which the doctor said could affect her monthly period. This is our first issue after 5 years of coming together). The issue now is that the visa is tourist visa and no question about pregnancy was asked during interview. We have the plan of giving birth in US and how due date is November. How do you think we can go about it to avoid being turned back. Also, we plan to stay in an hotel in Houston. Please your candid advise would be appreciated. |

Did you buy your tickets directly from them ? If yes call every number you lay hands on on the website US number, Doha ,Nigeria. If not then contact the agent who sold you the ticket. You just have to be persistent in this. Do the earlier for emails too. customised87: Hello mama, how did you buy your infant ticket on Qatar Airways pls? Been trying to reach them and I am always put on hold till the line goes off. Did u pay at the airport and how much did u pay? Thanks |

You might want to google the procedures so as to know the differences and or similarities. Or how you see am. SuperDad: That's nice to know. So I guess for people who want to get theirs done in the US, asking if it's the "Gomco Clamp" method may be fairly good guide. The method commonly used in Nigeria is "Plastibel". Who knows, they may just be same in principle with different names. |

@xclusivemaama ,We did not do anything to them dear. It's just that a lot of them will tell you they don't take international patients in case you need them to give you things to show while applying for visa. But when you get there and go to them they take you on as a local resident, so next time you call give a address of the place you are planning to staying even if it's a hotel. That's the way to go. Doesn't matter all you need do is demonstrate to the V.O that you have strong ties here that will bring you back and these can be deduced from Your job Family Investment etc Go with your pay advice for at least six months if you work but if own a business i don't know what the document that shows how much you make is called (never can tell when it will come in hand ) olathunde: Hello House,
I need your assistance on this issue before attending the visa interview.
Would not having the complete money stated in the budget sheet in the statement of account be a grounds for denial.
The account statement covers 80% of the cost in the budget sheet.
Thank you |

Attempting all questions 1) cost is dependent on your budget and the city you choose so keep trying to get a place that fits your budget 2) you need all the normal documents for visa application plus doctors correspondence 3) yes you can. It is not against the law to have your baby in the USA just make sure you make your intentions known at your interview and also mention it in your form when filling. 4) this is dependent on the city you choose too 5) check the respective website for the documents needed and do the maths remember to factor in exchange rate Kind regards esespicy: Good day Everyone. I am new to this forum and I was told by a friend that i will get the answers to my questions here. Pls pardon any errors i myt make in advance.
I am currently 4mths pregnant & already showing. I will like to have my baby in the U.S @ a not expensive price (decision to hav the baby dre was just decided). You can fill it and notorise it without the date of birth I didn't so for my baby so that if my husband was not granted extra days at work because we passed EDD which what what we used in booking his return ticket but we ended up not using it ( this was done at Bank of America in Houston) I even had to go check the document before replying. My friend also did same she infact travelled with and only inserted date of birth of her baby when she was ready to use it (hers was notorised at US consulate in Lagos) maideyz: Is it not possible you fill nd get it notarized without putting the date.?you can always put the date with a black pen when you sure of the date of birth. Just thinking |
