needful: MMM indicated that u should stake money that u can afford to loose. Very different from the above discussion. The disclaimer is on their dashboard. So how then did many people lose their life savings and monies they couldn’t afford to lose? Because they wanted quick money and saw that as an easy way! See I can give several instances of people benefiting from a weak system in Nigeria, you people are just crying over this because you think it’s what’s affecting tbills rate lol Is it not in this country that people get free billions in oil subsidy? They increased fuel price, said they will end subsidy but subsidy is still being paid. Please! |

Wickedtruths: If it isn't stealing, it is what? Moving abi?
So, if I get a grant from the government to build hospitals for women of schools for children and I refuse to build it but divert the sums to buying Tbills, it isn't illegal but only immoral? Well done.
Do you have an idea of the kind of precedent terms and conditions upon which the funds were released to the beneficiary? Or you think you can try that nonsense in developed societies?
That is misappropriation of funds and anyone who engages in this is a thief.
You may find it unpleasant to your ears but that's your own problem. Someone has to tell you the bitter truth. Please keep all these your fake emotions to yourselves, do you think cbn has not been aware this is happening? Blame the cbn for creating this loophole not people that benefitited from it. Comparing this to yahoo is stupid too. Yes it is immoral but not illegal and yes these kind of things also happen in developed countries. We have seen billionaires in developed countries using every trick in the book to avoid paying taxes, including Donald Trump, many create offshore accounts to avoid taxes, what do you call that? Stealing? Yahoo? Also many billionaires in Nigeria owe billions in bad debt to banks and yet some even get more loans while it’s difficult for the average Nigerian to get new ones! If the cbn rolled out the policies it is doing now much earlier no one would have benefited from this loophole, the problem with most Nigerians is being too sentimental and not knowing where to apportion blames. The self righteous people who mostly did MMM are now calling names to others who benefitted from a weak irregulated system |

Grupo: Those are not smart people.
I always say it, what Nigerians call smartness is cutting corners.
Now, the "smartness" of those people is affecting Tbills investment. They are smart people. Why didn’t cbn block the loophole from the start? This one is not about Nigerians, it’s about people profiting off a bad system |

ahiboilandgas: stupid and criminals have been using cbn agric loan. ,bank of industries loans given to customers at 3 to 8 percent to buy up t.b at 12 making 5 percent and killing agric and industries....those 500 bn used to place bid is false ,unfunded , intervention loans ....419 people ....all t.b bid mist funded from real hustle I won’t call them criminals and stupid. These are smart people taking advantage of loopholes and it is not illegal. I’d rather blame cbn for taking this long to notice these loopholes or rather I want to believe cbn has long been aware of this and only acting now to save Nigeria economy from collapsing at this critical stage. People really made serious money off this, I wish I was aware lol |

We even go as far as buying land and property for our unborn generation to give them a fighting chance.
10m cannot pay for a shop in that ochanga market, that 1.2m can only help u pay rent.find out. 10m can’t pay for shop at Ochanja Market? |

I think op is utterly disrespectful to her husband maybe because according to her, she is successful. She really needs to submit to husband |

Finelinks: Seems you are missing out some things! Assuming building with 10m at a remote area gives 750k m per annum from rent
And
Assuming 10m in Tbills gives 1.5m per annum.
You don't just conclude that Tbills is better because the property that yields just 750k also appreciates in most cases. This translates to a better return ultimately.
Again, inflation or devaluation MAY slightly affect the physical cash.
Note that inflation doesn't affect all sectors same way.
Compare and see the post below:
cc ahiboilandgas I think tbills is better. You just talked about the property appreciating without considering the other angle, empty flats, difficulty in paying rent by tenants, property damage etc. this thread really opened my eyes about rental apartments! I also see what landlords go through with tenants including hiring and paying lawyers too and I just think it’s not worth it |

Some Nigerian men dey fall hand seriously, especially when it comes to women and pusssy. They lose all sense of reasoning.
I'm sure that even with Toyin's stinking pusssy, some men who would never help struggling men and decent ladies, are already on queue in her DM to be her Maga. Do you know what is 20m? |

delawal: its d other way round. many people re rushing to do tbills BC s economy is in comatose. Biz is not moving again. if not, many people will invest their money in businesses. d poverty rate in naija now is affecting sales and businesses, a sign the govt is really incompetent and lacks ideas This is what I think, someone quoted me earlier with some gibberish when I asked this question. the economy is supposed to get better when rates fall but in the case the economy is not getting better, foreign investments are recording a 67% decline from last year according to thread below, so people rather dump their money in tbills than invest. I think the rates will increase towards year end when people will start doing Christmas shopping https://www.nairaland.com/5334653/nigeria-records-15bn-investments-six |
