Old Glory:No I didn't know you were being sarcastic. And no, nothing makes it past my ego. . .perhaps you meant that as an insult, no matter. Anyhow no, Bill Clinton is not & was not a Black President. Doing things for Africa does not make someone "black". It can make them "great" "good", "charitable" but no, it can't make them "black". Does doing something great for children make a man a child himself? The US gives nearly $4million/annually to Israel as a gift. Does that make the US a Jewish govt or Jewish state? The only people who think "yes" are neo-Nazis. What's your own opinoin? You must have one sha. I know nothing makes it past your ego. |

beyonce1:Well er you went a bit farther than I would've but you're point is still valid. My contribution: I wouldn't leave him but this happens everyday in every society. I think it's excusable if one partner thinks the other is lazy or unmotivated. If one partner is simply greedy than it hurts but you are better off w/o him/her (though it doesn't seem that way t/o the tears). Interesting to note many people (especially men) choice their careers for the increased mating status. As in "I'm a be a ball player so I can get a gang o' hoes" or even doctor, engineer, blah blah blah. Men often "trade up" after they've reached their new economic status so ya'll are none to innocent. You people are always abusing girls that want better things. How many of you will actually ignore posh girls and go and date omo alata?Few.So why do girls always get the blame for having good tastes?Or is there something wrong with being high maintainance?Spiked you ain't never lied. And that's the truth. How you livin mama? |

Old Glory:So this man can't be African/Nigerian but Bill Clinton is black? Please quit. Please. Just 'cause Billy Boy plays the saxophone & bleeps w/ ugly white girls doesn't make him black. The mere suggestion is offensive. People can be allies w/o being "race traitors". Come on folks, let's be more progressive than this ish. dafman:Nice post Dafman. This spoke to me the most. Sad but true. . . |

Never Want to Pay Full Price For Anything. LMAO! Sounds like my mom. But you know, she has a tab at the local African Food Store (she pays it whenever) & it's spoiled her so she doesn't know why other stores don't do it. I love her though, she's my Mum sha! |

Travel / Re: Getting Married For The Green Card (Citizenship) by chinani(f): 11:41pm On Jul 07, 2006 |
@Diddy That dude (on page 1 talking bout green cards) I think he meant that in most cases a person must be married for at least 2 years to become a citizen. Even if you file papers before (which a person should) if you do not live together as a married couple for 2 years, you don't get your citizenship. How you been? @Praetor My sister, tell your friend to research every avenue very very well. But if it comes to marriage then that is not the worse thing. Try & find another African - I know other Africans will help with this - but she should study the person well well! Is there anyone from home (now in the US) who'd be willing to sign for her? Best wishes! |
Romance / Re: Have You Ever Been In Love? by chinani(f): 11:26pm On Jul 07, 2006 |
cjloejade:Depends on the person but I think 16 - 18 are the ages when people are "capable" of going beyond crushes into the realm of love. I was 18. . . |

I also don't see anything wrong with it. It's best to find a willing person & be honest w/ them though. |
