Can you be more specific? I mean, how would (the absence of) God-belief be a determining factor in one's lifestyle?
Very good question.

The thing is that I was thinking of it in the other way. For instance, a person who promoted religiosity but lives an antisocial (in the most clinical use of the phrase) lifestyle would repulse me more than a jerk for whom "survival of the fittest" was liturgy.

But then John Lennon once "God is a concept by which we measure our pain." (those are the lyrics right?) Point being that in so much as philosophy influences behavior it is the precursor to all lifestyles.

Some atheists are apathetic or nihilists as a extension of the (non?) religious beliefs. I meant all these things.

shocked is it a terrible thing that a Nigerian man marry a white woman? I thought the world has gotten past this point by now. InshaAllah his family will not feel the same way as people here. I love his family even before I have met them because they are a part of him. I look forward to learning more about the culture and applying what I can to our lives.
My dear what are you on about? Nothing you said has any bearing on this discussion. Furthermore, this Naija lady married a white man. Perhaps you are one of those who think Nigerian men are chasing or lying in wait for white women. I guess white men are doing their own chasing as well.

what a crazy thread. . .

@Nairamar
"Caucasian" people refer to themselves as "white" all the time. In TEXAS at least. And I mean from Lubbock to Harlingen. I'm not saying the dude is white -- don't care really -- just saying you're point is. . .er. . . undecided tongue

Been there baby girl. Just keep your head up.

My advice: Stay away! He's no good. He doesn't deserve you & you know it.

Listen to more songs: "Never Again" Justin Timberlake, Common, IndiaAire & anything else that makes you feel better

But please don't go back to this dude. It'll only mean more heartache! Be brave.

Whatever the Bleep ever. I said Bill Clinton not the US Government. The US Govt gives Billions of $'s to Africa too. But Bill Gates gives his own money, so does Steven Spielberg,Larry Ellison gives tens of millions of dollars, Warren Buffet just made history a week or so ago. These people do not need African sounding names to make things happen. Oprah does not need an African name for her to do good with her fame and money. My point is we should give credit where credit is due. We claim he is Nigerian because he has a Nigerian sounding name. His ancestry may not even come from today's Nigeria. Why should i even care about his name. And yeah girl check your ego at the door, then make your point. I know you want to be heard.
I didn't say that we shouldn't give credit. I said that giving credit doesn't change identities. I gave little opinoin about Obba Babatunde so read well well. Check your bullshit.
