Crime / Re: A Nigerian Student Shot And Killed In Us by chiogo(f): 7:04pm On Dec 04, 2010 |
phreakabit:No, you people are missing the point. The police were referring to the neighbors who refuse to give any information about seeing anything on the day he got shot. The neighbors supposedly heard the gun shot but did not call the police or check to see what was going on, they only mentioned that they heard the gun shot after his body was found by the police but refused to give any more information. Obviously, somebody knows something but that's the so-called 'street' rule nowadays, going to the police to say what you know about a murder is seen as snitching, which is arrant nonsense. These neighbors could give information anonymously. Oh, people are so heartless these days. Imagine if this happened to one of their own then they would give anything to know who committed the crime. . . . . . . . . . . Seriously guys, no one knows for sure who killed him so let's not make assumptions based off black-on-black crime in the U.S., it could have been anyone from any race/ethnicity. It's really a cold world. One thing I know about so-called gangs is they would never kill someone who isn't associated with 'em or a rival gang. Busayo would never belong to a gang, it makes no sense considering his personality and intelligence. He may have been mistaken for someone if he was truly shot by a gang or they thought he had valuable material with him. |

Ahhhhhhh still hard to believe. Who else am I gonna argue with on the NBA thread? He was so laid back/down-to-earth, funny/witty, so liberal, non-judgmental, and I loved the fact that he had no traces of sexism in him, very considerate. RIP Busayo, a gem has truly been lost. |
Crime / Re: A Nigerian Student Shot And Killed In Us by chiogo(f): 9:49pm On Dec 03, 2010 |
Outstrip:Exactly. That's my anger right now - the fact that the neighbors heard the gun shot but didn't call the police, only to give the information after his dead body had been found. My God! People are so heartless. And this 'no snitching' nonsense needs to stop. Imagine if this happened to the loved one of one of the neighbors. No empathy nowadays! |

bawomolo:Oh Bawo. I can't even argue with you anymore. Such a sad world. |
Crime / Re: A Nigerian Student Shot And Killed In Us by chiogo(f): 9:19pm On Dec 03, 2010 |
This is so so sad. What a cruel world!! The same Bawo who's always joking around, the one who I'm always arguing with on the NBA thread? I find this hard to believe, just don't want to believe this really happened to him. But yes, that's his picture. He was only 21 for God's sake!! May his soul rest in perfect peace. Ahhhh, I cannot begin to imagine how his family feels right now. The people behind this must be rewarded in worse ways. |
Travel / Re: Do You Regret Moving Abroad? by chiogo(f): 1:05am On Nov 22, 2010 |
Topics like this always get the insecure ones riled up. Abeg live and let live. Are there people who live better lives in Naija than some in the U.S. do? Yes. Are there people who lived worse lives than they're now doing abroad? Yes. Different people have different experiences so, stop with the assumptions. As for those ranting about contributing to the motherland. I just wanna know how exactly you're contributing positively just by choosing to stay back. The same corrupt government is still 'leading' so what gives? Some people have actually come to a realization that they're not currently in a situation to contribute much to Nigeria because they're young and still in school. Therefore, they chose to move abroad(U.S., Europe, etc) where there are more opportunities, get a good education, return, and contribute positively to the country. Do I miss Naija? Yes. But I don't regret moving (have my family with me so it's all gravy), If anything, the country has gotten worse than it was when I left, which even reinforces why there are no regrets. Do I plan to go back in the future? yes, but not anytime soon, . not until I'm established in my career and able to invest my skills into helping Nigeria. |

Wiz Khalifa. . . I tried but he doesn't have that spark. He's actually performing at my school on Saturday and I'm not going to see him. I wish he was more interesting. Or maybe I just haven't listened to him enough. |
Celebrities / Re: Eva Longoria And Tony Parker To Divorce by chiogo(f): 6:53am On Nov 19, 2010 |
She doesn't have to be a pauper. Just because a woman is rich doesn't mean she'd marry a man who has less money so she'll be doing most of the spending. Yea right. I highly doubt money wasn't involved when dealing with a basketball player. I'm generalizing but. . . |

Music/Radio / Re: Possibly The Worst Nigerian Song Ever? by chiogo(f): 5:20am On Nov 18, 2010 |
Hahaha, you guys have made my night. That Regina girl no try at all. No wonder there are so few female naija artists. AfroCandy is on another level - old and stiff with that accent of hers. Ego is not that bad in terms of looks but abeg who's her ghost writer? even 9-yr-old willow smith can do better. "Everybody wanna marry me?" Everybody, really? SMH! Jim Iyke, who are you? a damn fool. |
Music/Radio / Re: Is Jay-z Trying To Rekindle His Beef With Nas? by chiogo(f): 4:46am On Nov 18, 2010 |

Celebrities / Re: Why I’m Ageless–kate Henshaw by chiogo(f): 6:58pm On Nov 11, 2010 |
buzugee:Your ignorance is overwhelming. I clearly highlighted two names in your list of ALL MALES. Go do your homework and report back if the highlighted are OVER 40 like you claimed. Oh, and are we gonna act like Janet Jackson's nose wasn't tampered with? Yea, iight. I still don't see the point of you posting all those links because Kate answered why she's ageless. Are you really for real? 1 Like |

Celebrities / Re: Why I’m Ageless–kate Henshaw by chiogo(f): 6:13am On Nov 10, 2010 |
@Buzugee, what's your point? buzugee:Are they really OVER 40? Still a silly comparison since they're all males. As for the other links, well, plastic surgery does wonders. And that's all I'm gonna say. 1 Like |

LOL na wa for that game. The Celtics definitely almost had it and then gave it away. Too bad. Gotta work on closing off the game. Now the people of dallas have gained a little confidence but don't get too cocky. |
