Later the same day I got info that a friend of ours had died in an accident. I laughed it off and was sure it was another prank but alas it was true. I. E was gone forever. Hated April Fools Day for a long time after this. |

Onijagidijagan: Some guys mumu die.... Girls that has broken up with me are close to 50 and i'm still strong and unheartbroken This is far from being mumu. This is sheer wickedness and I am speaking from experience. There are guys who thrive best when they are assassinating other people's characters unjustly just so people can pity them and see the other person as wicked. His goal was to make people hate and berate the poor girl unjustly and he succeeded spectacularly. I could write an entire essay on this type of guy. Look closely and you'll find the girl suffered emotional abuse at his hands. |

OmoAlata1: You sound like those husbands that will emotionally drained their wives. I know your type very well. You can fool others with your poor me victim card post but not me. I could hug you right now! I have seen this type of man firsthand. They usually are manipulative, resentful and emotionally abusive. They also do what they can to suppress the woman. In most cases, they end up convincing family and friends that the wife is bad whereas they are the ones with psychological issues. |

wetdick: I am waiting for those emotional NL feminists to cry foul. I pulled out the truth all they can do is to get mad, defensive and get HBP. me no send them
You are a woman who lives in town with your children, you go to the village to get a young girl, you tell the young girl's parent that you will help her, send her to school and she will become the doctor like the doctor they see on tv, the parent of the girl are happy, they give you their daughter, you are happy too. you bring this young girl to the city and then for the first month she is so happy and comfortable, the second month you turn her into a house girl, this girl works from morning to night like a horse while your children watch tv, at night, you send this young girl out to buy somethings without nobody accompanying her, your children are busy eating and watching tv while this young girl goes into the dark, she is very afraid of her life, if she is kidnapped or raped, you start blaming every one.
In church, they call you sister, in the mosque, you are alhaja, you are so happy hearing them call you these names but in your house, you are a slave owner, you maltreat and beat the hell out of this young girl for simple mistakes, first of all know that you are committing a crime, if she poison your whole family because of the brutal maltreatment you do unto her, social media won't allow us to hear word, always remember that the evil you do onto other people's children, when you might be gone that evil will be done to your children.
i will rest my case for now, the evil women do against young children not their own is shocking and we must be serious about fighting this societal menace and if you are man married to these type of women, shame on you, you call yourself head of the family but overlook mealtreatment under your roof. shame on you. I have talked several times about this and ladies here have called me all sorts of names but my position remains the same. First off, I am a wife and a mother and I have a career. Women should learn to roll up their sleeves and keep their homes. Here is what worked/works for me. 1. Invest in household appliances. Top on that post is a washing machine. 2. Use cleaning companies once in a while. Some of them are affordable. 3. Use creches and child minding centres. Research and ask questions though before you trust them. Once I paid my daughter's creche an unscheduled visit just to see how things are done in my absence. 4. Plan better. Take food for instance, cook, label and pack into containers for freezing. 5. Finally, teach your children to be hands on and do basic chores. Living without domestic help is doable. I am an example of that fact. I have been married for ten years. The peace you get from staying clear of househelp wahala is priceless. If the idea is to help indigent parents who cannot care for their children, then send them monthly stipends to help send the child to school while he/she remains with the parents. Train your own children to work and do chores. Las Las, no you go enjoy am. |

Mobilia: It's Not Easy Being Green
The lyrics to a song sung by a fictional puppet/frog created by the late popular creator, director, writer, producer and actor Jim Henson..The "Muppets".. (Try to listen to the song on the internet possible).
It's not that easy being green Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold Or something much more colorful like that
It's not easy being green It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're Not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky
But green's the color of Spring And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important Like a mountain, or tall like a tree
When green is all there is to be It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful And I think it's what I want to be
Part 2...coming Kermit the frog sings this song so mournfully but I like it all the same. Love Sesame Street. |
Family › Re: How Does A Working Couple Cope Without A Maid? by chival(f): 10:31am On Jan 23, 2019 |
TheClulssHomakr: Two words, Routine and cooperation. It's only in Nigeria that we see maids as par for the course. Try that abroad and quench from the bills nah.
It's not easy but it is doable once the couple is willing to tackle things as a team. Not just one person carrying the whole house. E.g hubby can iron clothes while mum sweeps.
Establish a routine of sorts. Specific shopping days for groceries. There are even IG shoppers that can deliver meat and stuff to the house. Certain days for major cleaning.
Bulk cooking, none of that fresh soup every night palaver
Use appliances. Microwave, washing machine etc. The above is what works for me. It also helps that I work on a contracr/consultancy basis so I don't have to be at work every single day. In addition to this, after school care providers for children are a great help. You can also get a cleaning service to help clean the house maybe once a week. I manage just fine on my own though. |

At about this age most children experience separation anxiety and are afraid to be left alone. The fear may look bothersome to you but quite frankly it's no big deal. Always reassure the child that she is safe and that you will not leave her. This is a passing phase. She'll outgrow it in no time. Most times we(parents) worry needlessly. |

hahn: She could have simply been pressured by the situation out of fear or confusion.
Remember women can be emotional and the thought of losing you to the sickness and other stuff might have gotten to her.
She probably couldn't hold on to the secret and decided to share it to lift some of the burden off her chest. At least she told your family members and not strangers.
I don't really think she was being disloyal as long as she stood by you during your time at the hospital and took care of your daughter.
We are not all perfect.
I will advise you to stop harboring doubts about your wife. I am sure she has one or two things to complain about you and one most might be that you are too secretive. Lol
Wish you the best in your marriage Sound wisdom there. You spoke my mind almost word for word. |
