Forces avenue was blocked off and traffic diverted ..

It was very irritating..

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Have Lost Core Values Of Life – Jonathan by Chrisbenogor(m): 3:47pm On Jun 15, 2013
Gbawe: Mr.President, stop fooling yourself. Social networking and a more inter-connected world, enabling more Nigerians to see what obtains elsewhere even if they have never left Nigerian, is the reason many young Nigerians now feel they have to embrace 'self-help' (crime) to gain some of the wealth of Nigeria that people like you believe in pocketing, to the detriment of the majority, with your huge salary, ridiculous food budget and ten airplane fleet.

Stop complaining Mr. President. You are fighting a losing battle because respect for elders, in this day and age when we all know what others are doing and enjoying, can only be maintained through elders conducting themselves in a manner worthy of respect.

Things will never go back to the days of innocence when deceitful elders like you patronisingly rub the head of young children and tell them to "study hard" while you loot/damage their future and condemn them to becoming criminals with your callously profligate ways that is going on even now as you speak.

You cannot even sacrifice one plane out of your ten airplane fleet, when other leaders of wealthy nations have one or non, yet you ask young Nigerians to respect you? You are even lucky they are docile, in comparison to others, else you may not have the effrontery to patronise them as you now do and as your kind have always done.
Totally spot on.
Music/RadioRe: D'banj - Dont Tell Me Nonsense (Video) by Chrisbenogor(m): 5:10am On Jun 13, 2013
First off I would not waste time downloading this song, I am pretty sure it will be Nonsense.
D banj is probably the best entertainer Naija has had in a while, this rift with Don jazzy is a very very clear indication that it takes a whole host of different talents to make a successful musician/artist. To be fair, Don jazzy lacks that artist who has the charisma to take his very good beats to the next level, that however has not stopped him from churning out some good beats, if this were a contest of who is moving ahead faster than the other right now, I would say Don jazzy. Reason is simple, I don't think anyone would pay for a tour to listen to the whacky tracks d banj has release do far. I don't think any of his tracks would go on to be in the top ten or win any awards in Africa not to even talk of the "Global" dominance he wants, so far this plan is not working.
If however he did the Goody Bag track, or take banana or even the Lady don dada track which I think have very good beats, D prince sha does not just have that charisma to pull a song from being good to being freaking awesome.
How long will he keep trying before he realises that even wizzy is a lot more popular in naija these days, I don't think he is any more popular outside naija.

PoliticsRe: Ribadu Is An Attention-seeker / Career Was Built On Bootlicking - Presidency by Chrisbenogor(m): 2:36am On Jun 11, 2013
First off I think it is very it is a sign of our infantile democracy to have the presidency of the sovereign republic of Nigeria respond to issues as trivial as this. So Ribadu says the country is a sinking ship so what? There might not be a lot standing in the way of GEJ come 2015 but I think it's high time he adds some maturity in the way he allows the word presidency to be used.
As for Ribadu, he should stick to being a technocrat and leave politics alone. He has been used, abused and made a fool of too many times. Politics in Nigeria is Avery dirty game, he stuck his hands in the fire now he is getting burned.

shymexx: We don't see footballers like those guys anymore, to be honest.
I quite agree with you, what I think though is that as teams move to "unorthodox" formations the duties of the role gets modified and in the process some of the other stuff is lost. If there is a midfielder who tends to sit deep and spread passes i.e. Deep lying playmaker pirlo et al that role has to change.

In all football has really changed sha since boys from brazil.... grin grin grin

SportsRe: Super Eagles Vs Mexico - (2 - 2) -Intl Friendly On May 31 2013 by Chrisbenogor(m): 4:49am On Jun 01, 2013
shymexx: Tell me about it, bro. grin That's how you know those who actually played football to certain level. The ability to see what most can't see on the football pitch. I played football up to uni level, and I played a few games for my uni as well.

You're spot on about the engine room. That's where all the dirty work is done, and where the defense and attack start. Claude Makelele played that to highest level. Same with the likes of Lothar Matthäus, Diego Simeone, Dunga, Edgar Davids, Deschamps, Viera, Rijkaard and Roy Keane.
Choiiiiiii you don scatter my head this night, the main bros dem you don call them finish.....come where Pep na? Be like you be Madrid fan ni, tok make I draw my sword now now now grin grin grin
SportsRe: Super Eagles Vs Mexico - (2 - 2) -Intl Friendly On May 31 2013 by Chrisbenogor(m): 4:47am On Jun 01, 2013
tbaba1234: Possibly, but it doesn't change the fact that the goals were soft.
This is why SAF bought that dude, tracking him is practically useless in the box. Leave this match go watch Chelsea VS Utd the 3-3 game, DO NOT WATCH JUST THE GOALS, watch the dudes movement. Asides from this movement he is almost a "useless" player, but put him in the box and he will get missing until he scores the goal.

Overall though I would give the both defenders at the back a 6 today, not because they did not have the talent but more cause they lacked the composure, or you want Yobo back? grin grin grin
SportsRe: Super Eagles Vs Mexico - (2 - 2) -Intl Friendly On May 31 2013 by Chrisbenogor(m): 4:39am On Jun 01, 2013
tbaba1234: I watched the europa games and yobo had some blinders.. There seems to be no leader in the center.

We conceeded soft goals
Nor vex bros but Chicha is the best in the box striker since Ruud Boy, if you know any better please tell me, I would eat my words.
SportsRe: Super Eagles Vs Mexico - (2 - 2) -Intl Friendly On May 31 2013 by Chrisbenogor(m): 4:38am On Jun 01, 2013
shymexx: @ the bolded - most people don't really see the hard-work of utility players. Remember, Claude Makelele was also never appreciated at Real Madrid, till he left the club.

Utility players who do all the dirty work, are the heart-beat of the team. I rate the Onazi guy.
bros na wa for you, some people watch to see messi dribble or Cristi play free kick. In my days I played at right back with the occasional "No 4" as we called it those days which was basically Box-Box, support left right attackers and full backs, I felt the pain. Each time I watch football my eyes naturally go to the engine room, and these days there are so many different variants.

Claude Makelele was the definition of that role, not making silly lunging tackles or running with no purpose for 90 minutes, he read the game and made the very very annoying interceptions (kai I hated him the most at chelsea) While that yeye terry and co were taking Glory the silent workhorse was Claude.
