Christianity EtcRe: Why I Am Disillusioned With The religion section by Chrisbenogor(m): 11:21pm On Apr 09, 2013
Dear logicboy,
We don't live in a perfect world, much as what you have said is true from your own point of view you have to keep asking yourself one fundamental question and that is in whose interest? Good , evil , oppression to a huge extent is all subjective. Not everyone would share in the passion you have for atheism, not everyone wants to go out there join together form a big happy body of people to take on religions.
What you have done in your own little way sparks the fire of wanting to know more in anyone willing to question what they believe in. Now that you have come back to Nigeria please be smart about how you "preach" atheism, like you said let your life and principles speak for themselves.

Me personally I couldn't be less bothered I could stroll in read laugh and move on, but we are all different.

There was nferyn, Huxley, mazaje ( ma big boss ) ..............logicboy.........someone will take over.
PoliticsRe: “El-Rufai’s Intelligence Is Governed By ego” – Reno Omokri by Chrisbenogor(m): 11:24am On Apr 09, 2013
Not a fan of this Gej led government but I have new found respect for this guy we may disagree but he is really intelligent.
The facts of the matter therefore

1. A man should have principles and stand by it, shifting political goalposts everytime while screaming foul play makes you popular but not credible.
2. Nairaland, Twitter and social media activists still make up a minority of people who actually go there to vote. Therefore the number of times your attack on Gej is retweeted has little or no consequence on the outcome of the elections come 2015.
3. The opposition needs to 're strategize if they really want to give the pdp any meaningful fight come 2015.

My verdict: Team Gej still ahead in reality.
Foreign AffairsRe: Gambian President To Homosexuals – “If We Catch You, You’ll Regret You Were Born by Chrisbenogor(m): 4:31pm On Apr 05, 2013
Sir Jonse: Gambian president, Yahya Jammeh, has warned that any gay or lesbians found in the country will “regret” being born.

During a speech on March 28th at the opening of the country’s parliament, President Jammeh said:

“Homosexuality is anti-humanity. I have never seen homosexual chicken, or turkey. If you are convicted of homosexuality in this country, there will be no mercy for offenders.

Homosexuality is anti-god, anti-human, and anti-civilization. Homosexuals are not welcome in the Gambia.

If we catch you, you will regret why you are born. I have buffalos from South Africa and Brazil and they never date each other.

We are ready to eat grass but we will not compromise on this. Allowing homosexuality means allowing satanic rights. We will not allow gays here.”

RomanceRe: Marriage: Housewife Vs Career Woman by Chrisbenogor(m): 11:38pm On Apr 03, 2013
MissRaissa: You all make a good point. I honestly can't see myself as just a housewife. I feel like I need to be an example for my future children, especially if I end up having daughters. I have nothing against housewives, in fact I strongly believe being a mom is one of the hardest jobs in this world. It is a FULL TIME job with no vacation or time off.

I am looking forward to being a wife/mother one day BUT I also need to have a career. I must have another identity other than being just so and so's wife. I love the idea of being independent.
Can I kindly correct that to say being a GREAT mom is the hardest job in the world, women do not have it easy.
RomanceRe: Marriage: Housewife Vs Career Woman by Chrisbenogor(m): 9:00pm On Apr 03, 2013
Dear OP,
I think it's a choice as with both sides comes different challenges. The personalities of the persons involved also plays a great role as to what they would find more suitable. The housewife has the pros of having a woman who would be at home all the time and tend to the family, on the other hand career woman can also lend a very good hand in reducing the financial burden as well as also fulfil their dreams to become relevant in society.
The way I see it, no holy grail method to marriage exists, it ultimately boils down to both people regardless of whichever path is chosen to make success of their union by remembering what's most important to both of them and if these things match, some men like me would go any length for my family some others want loads of money and a huge empire or even a great career and may or may not care as much, same applies for women here.
The traditional housewife I think is evolving and it's inevitable that with time both couples have to pay attention to the home to cover for the other. Personally I dont want a sit at home wife no one deserves that unless they want to, ultimately the kids would grow and leave, then what?

RomanceRe: How Can I Tell A Guy Am Not Interested In Him Without Hurting His Feelings by Chrisbenogor(m): 12:19pm On Mar 31, 2013
Yo,
Its very simple, be open and honest about it. Ask him to define your relationship, ask him what he thinks it is and where he thinks this heading. Be open enough to admit to him how exactly you see him and you are concerned that someone might get hurt if things are not ironed out at this stage.
The biggest problem is when you lead someone on and expecting them to "get" the message he might be thinking you are just playIng hard to get. If he is mature enough he will admit that he likes you in that way or you might be shocked that you are just sorely mistaken.

RomanceRe: What Are The Responsibilities Of A Boyfriend Or Fiance? by Chrisbenogor(m):
How the hell do these threads make front page?

SpicyMimi: Hi my fellow Nairalanders,

okay, i have this friend who has been dating her guy for some few months now, and he also has plans of getting married to her but has never bought her any gift nor has he cared about her needs finacially. I personally told her the guy is a stingy guy and things might get ugly after marriage, but then again i might be wrong, so i need you all to share your views on this.

Also, would love to have answers to the following questions:

1. When should a guy start spending on a girl? ''For your info am not a gold-digger, i hardly collect stuffs from my boyfriend but atleast am glad he isnt the stingy type''

2. Why do guys so much believe in the word 'Give and take'?

3. Who should call more?

And for the Ladies, you could also tell us what and what your boyfriends or fiance's is doing or has done as per being in a relationship with him, same with the Male folks as well.

Note- Forming is allowed. grin
Dear OP,
How convenient for you to suddenly reduce your friend's relationship to just one thing - Money.

1. When should a guy start spending on a girl?
It is not the primary responsibility of your boyfriend to "spend" on you. Infact when a guy starts by "spending" there is a huge probability he wants to "give and take". People are different and I am sure there are happily married couples out there whose husbands do not just dole out candy at every opportunity. Your friends parents/guardians are still alive presume or she should have a job to primarily take care of her, it's her responsibility.

2. Why guys believe in Give and take?
No guy who wants you in a serious relationship would be thinking of give and take. It's ladies like you who have formed the opinion that a guy who is a spendthrift is the correct guy and the more conservative guy is stingy. At that point it ain't rocket science, services has been paid for in cash, the payee expects service in kind for the pizza or the blackberry z10 he bought, simples.

3. Who should call more undecided undecided

My advice is go back and look out for the important things in a mans character that would make him a solid rock for you tomorrow instead of chasing flimsy things like who spends on you or not. Men do not want a financial or even an intellectual liability at home, grow your sense of pride as an individual most especially as a lady and whatever you do kindly stop advising your friend or anyone on what makes a marriage ugly.

Cheers.

Shakslayer: Guys, sincerely when i was told by my colleague to drop my story on here, i didnt for once imagine it'd generate this much traffic/response. It's been awesome reading ALL your comments (sarcastic & meaningful),and am just gonna make this one post and then call it a day. This is so you dont form the wrong idea(s) about my person, as some have started forming.

I didn't regret and never will regret what i did last Friday. I can never have s*ex with a lady i just met for the first time, no matter how much affection we have or have had over time for each other. it's just not in me to do that. And from our earlier chats and phone convos, she told me it isn't right but guys generally still do it.

Lastly, yes, am a man, a real man at that, and when it comes to s*ex, and everyother ceremonies surrounding it, when i start, i dont stop till you've got enuff. I pride myself on giving the best head any woman can ever ask for and get. Yes, but that doesnt change my principle.

Thanks y'all for your warm contributions.

PoliticsRe: ................ by Chrisbenogor(m): 10:11am On Mar 25, 2013
taharqa: Will you SHUT that your stinking mouth there, you HYPOCRITE.

This was an INTERNAL PARTY ELECTION within his party, and unfortunately NO LAW in Nigeria compels any political party to observe elections in their Primaries. Parties could do as they please as long as it follows their own constitutions (that was never written to ensure internal democracy in their various parties). The law which would have made it compulsory for Primary Elections to be held within political parties which some few members of the NA was pushing in early 2011 was shot down by virtually every political party, lead by ACN. In fact, I recall with alarm how virtually every ACN leader both within the NA and outside (led by your master, Tinubu) argued vociferously that parties should be completely left to produce their own candidates the way they see fit cos they (the parties) had to choose only candidates that would pursue their Agenda and Manifesto. They ALL killed that Bill. Till today, Tinubu SELECTS virtually every internal Candidate in ACN.

So dont come here and Pontificate on issues like this at all. I dont suffer a HYPOCRITE a moment's space.

I insist that the SUDDEN attack on Gov Akpabio is simply cos of his emergence as Chair of the PDP Governor's Forum who are in Strong support of GEJ, PERIOD. That much is too transparent. Thank God, the man is arguably the most performing INFRASTRUCTURE wise perhaps since the advent of Democracy in 1999, else we for no hear word on that angle again.

Bunch of sillly DESPERADOS.
The real question is what does the PDP guidelines on internal elections say?

How can one classify something meant to express your love for your partner a sin. These laws were made by people who do not face the challenges you face today.. they got married at 17 an 19, how the hell do you expect anyone that is 30 to be a virgin? A few people by choice yes but this is against natural instincts, why the hell would God care who you hug and kiss? There's many people dying in Syria by the day that's a better problem to fix.
