I know for a fact someone in my church who was kidnapped in PH two years back.

However if the guys that stay there say such things are isolated incidents I differ to their extensive knowledge of the place.

DissTroy:
Man, let's even focus on PHALGA which is the capital of Rivers. Can you beat your chest that you can walk around Mile 1 unscathed by 9PM? Let's not even go into Ogbunabali.

Do I come across like someone who doesn't know how Rivers State works or doesn't know just about every nook and cranny there is? Asides living and working there for years, you'd be surprised how many times a month I have to pop into Rivers (Port Harcourt especially).

Abonema, Degema and the likes have kidnappings, shootouts, and killings EVERY SINGLE DAY! Everyday.
It's rough in Port Harcourt but outside of Port Harcourt is the Wild West in very direction.

At the end of the day it's about people making choices.

Tobacco, MJ, Alcohol, Cocaine, Heroin you name all have adverse effects on your health but people choose to consume them which unfortunately will be hard to stop cos you can't legislate human behavior.

When I talk about tobacco and alcohol doing more damage to societies it's not just on the said individual taking those substances but secondary effects on other people eg. drunk driving leading to fatal accidents, domestic violence, rape, high medical costs due to cancer treatments.

Ideally as a Christian I would prefer all these addictive substances be banned all together but sadly we leave in the real world.

obainojazz:
Meth is more addictive than those two…. See what Meth addiction is doing to some communities in the USA.

Small Meth enter Anambra and people craze finish….State where people consume beer like water.

Easier to die from Meth overdose than alcohol I believe… You drink till you get drunk and probably pass out… Meth keep consuming and you keep needing more since e no Dey bellyful

It's a tough question but how you realistically stop people from taking these substances?

Alcohol and tobacco have arguably caused more deaths in human society yet these substances are not banned.

I don't have all the answers but we've been using the same tactic of bans and law enforcement against drug proliferation which clearly has solved the problem.

raumdeuter:
How do you make cocaine, heroine, fentanyl and Meth legal and how do you regulate its usage? You tell people that you can only smoke 1 wrap per day and you have someone monitoring them to ensure compliance?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 3:07pm On Mar 29, 2023
people's kidneys are being damaged from excessive alcohol.

Smoking cigarettes is one of the leading causes of cancer yet these items haven't been totally banned.

Everything doesn't have to be about virtue signaling or agenda bruv.

I see what ice is doing on the streets. Legalising drugs will only make it affordable, but will send souls to asylum.

Make drugs legal like they did with alcohol regulate its usage.

Unpopular idea but something to think about.

Yeah I read that on twitter too but someone said the rules have been adjusted by FIFA allowing 24 year olds to play if the said player isn't classified as one of the allowed 3 overage players.

Modified just read the FIFA communique 3 overage players can be involved in the qualifying rounds so the goal scorer most probably falls into that bracket.

https://digitalhub.fifa.com/m/49db2cdaf7e8829/original/Circular-No-1792-information-on-preliminary-competitions_EN.pdf

lovewins:
Maybe just maybe Nigeria could get into the u23 AFCON/Olympic through the back door. The Guinean player who scored their second goal Alseny Soumah is overaged. It is even very easy to prove as Alseny has participated in other CAF competition and his registered date of birth is on record.

You'll also notice that other platforms like transfermarkt still have his original birthday. Of course I know Nigeria has her own infractions but this one can be proven. Whether the NFF will take this up remains to be seen.

Remember Morocco used this against Ghana women's u-17 as they could prove from Facebook that some of the girls were overaged.

Sanwo-Olu has tweeted that the young man will be awarded damages the court ordered and that the Lagos State government will withdraw their appeal against the judgment. Still doesn't excuse how the young man was treated.

Bayern would be most ideal. Currently looking for a number 9 plus a top quality team devoid of not too many egos.

If Napoli were a historically massive club I would have suggested Victor stays but I think this season is just about as good it's going get for Napoli for some seasons to come.

The most ideal club in the EPL for Osimhen's style of football is Chelsea. As an Arsenal fan I would love to have him at the Emirates but I'm not sure the club would be willing to pay up. Man U would be ok although not ideal for him. For me Man City under Pep is a no no. He doesn't fit the kind of profile of player Guardiola likes plus City already has Haaland.

Danielnino00:
Even Arsenal fans can't confidentiality say they can challenge for the title again next season grin grin
IMO, Bayern would be the perfect place for Osimhen.. He is sure of winning at least a trophy every year and will score a lot of goals...

Saying he won't deliver in EPL now is not necessarily being pessimistic but realistic.

Orban at his current level of development might struggle in the premier league however the French ligue 1 though a higher level of football compared to Belgium will give him room to express himself, make mistakes and ultimately flourish.

I remember last season there was a run of games either 8 or 10 can't remember where Moffi wasn't scoring but Lorient kept starting him. Will an EPL club be so generous especially if you're a foreigner? (read black man)

Yeah him and Kvara will most likely be nominated.

To get into the Balon D'or conversation then he will have to win UCL with a game deciding performance at the moment Haaland and maybe Mbappe are in prime position.

Blueelf:
I have a question

Seeing as it is almost certain Vic Osimhen would win the serie a and top goalscorer award, would winning the UCL put Vic Osimhen in Ballon D'or contention?

Only God knows when this country will evolve beyond thuggery. Really disappointed but not surprised with reports from different areas how people are being harassed and intimidated especially in Lagos. Lagos APC has to find a way to talk to and suppress the thuggish elements amongst them.

Watched that goal on repeat even the ref was looking in amazement.

Great to have you back doc!

TheSuperNerd:
Victor Osimhen, The Air Monster: The Superman Leap, the lean back in the air, that Insane Hangtime, the technique to direct it and the ability to connect with the ball with a force strong enough to propel it past Kevin Trapp to the top left corner (GK's perspective) of the goal

This Goal needs to be analysed more. It is a crazy headed goal. Probably the best so far in the UCL this season.

Ally McCoist of TalkSports tagged it the best header he has seen since 5 years ago. Lol

3rd pic frame calculates Osimhen's leap as being as high as 35 Osimhen Masks put on top of one another.
