I started reading as early as 7 and I understood quite well, in fact, those magazines helped give me an artistic mind, and a flair for arts and music. Comics are the best things a lad can have at that time. |

@ Nigeria1 I watched OBJ hand over the results to his chickens in the context of "MAKING HISTORY", i'm convinced that the deal is done and sealed, though we know in our humble hearts that it's just another Fraud, about to usher in an even greater fraud. As it is there are only 2 people contesting for the presidency, both northerners, no doubt power shifts to the north this year. Buhari or Yar'Adua with the latter being the automatic favorite. What this means is if the south and west come together to vote one person, say Okotie, all will amount to less than that of the North. The results don't necessarily mean that the entire recorded population of the North is "strictly" northerners but it's already on record, so henceforth, anything goes their way. Simple and short. |
I really want to stop blaming the government on issues such as "extreme" hustling as this, but man, why not a South African or even an Indian on the headlines? Young nigerians'd give anything up to play football beyond Africa and it tells a long story back here in Naija, where employment is rare, expect to see anything. Back in school, some of my colleagues were nabbed in Heathrow and JFK for "coco" some still serving terms, some, we haven't heard from them, but how do we explain this? RIP brother. If there's a ghetto in heaven, we'll get 2 meet! ![]() |
@ Afam, I'll be the first to ring you up when the hammer hits the nail in the head, don't know why you got unnecessarily hypertensive on hearing "American journalists" like it's the first time you'll be hearing that Lagos is above 15 million in pop, be it by an American or an italian (abi person no fit yarn again on Nairaland?). By the way i've been seeing weather forecasts in decades now and for the important cities featured, I hardly ever see Kano in the top 100. ![]() @ Ugwumba, Exactly why i'm neither registering or voting ![]() I have a feeling OBJ favours the north mainly because they were the ones who voted for him (that's if at all the rigging wasn't so perfect!) but with all the powers that be supporting the PDP back then (Dangote, IBB, ) I'm not surprised northerners would always get the nod. And now that his contract with Yar'Adua continues, I see that guy also handing over to Iyabo OBJ in the next 8 years and so on and so forth while the South South and "other" Nigerians fold their feeble hands and watch, and the rest of the argument lingers on Nairaland! |
WOOWW!! you'll never learn enough in this world, I never knew any of those, thanx man. |
@ Chukky, Jollof Rice is yellow while Chocolate may be brown or cream, but i prefer Ice cream ![]() |
I think it's about time we dissolve this crazy analysis, the results have been passed and approved, it'll only be stupid of the FG to allocate resources based on it. And for the greatest shocker, Kano Vs Lagos, I think it's just a step backward for Nigeria, how shallow minded someone can be! Till the day this mystery is unravelled, i fold my arms and watch ![]() And for those going the extra mile to take it personal, more grease to your keyboard! ![]() |
@ Afam, So an estimate is disgusting? Please tell me what's disgusting in it, especially when it's widely believed to be true? |
Christiano Ronaldo is an Attacking Midfielder (a replacement for Beckham initially) and is hot on is left too. He's been improving attacking wise since last season and now joins the ranks of Giggs and Scholes. Carrick needs a partner in holding position, more reason why Man U crave for Hargreaves, someone who can win the ball every now and then and who does not necessarily want to go forward all the time. Ronaldo is not a striker, but can play as a supporting striker if the need arises, like Keiron Dyer. |
Against a strong Ghana team, we should field: Enyeama Odiah Yobo Enakharire Taiwo Ayila Obodo Utaka Mikel Obagoal Yakubu Attacking Options: Kanu, Odemwingie, Uche, Ogbuke, Yekini Midfield Options: Oruma, OlofinJana, Keshi Defensive Options: Shittu, Udeze, George, Eguavoen Goalkeeping Options: Vansekin, Rufai, Shorunmu ![]() My only fear is i don't see Mikel surviving Killer tackles from Essien. ![]() Ayila and Obodo cos we need Defensive MFs. Gone are the days of Oliseh, we have no Okocha so we can pray for Mikel to do his best otherwise, Experienced Oruma could be a more realistic ruggeddy. The nations cup back four remain the best, only that Enakharire hasn't been playing much of recent cos of club crisis and uncertainty of his future. Since I don't know what's been happening to home boy Ikedia, Utaka can do well in his place, considering his pace. I don't know if Aghahowa is clear of injury but we have far too many attacking options including unclaimed Agbonlahor. Ghana can only pray Junior Agogo is prolific on that day, of which Yobo's on ground for him. I wish we had an Okocha to guarantee Essien a Red card, Maybe Kanu will do Infact Kanu should be our playmaker for that day! If you guys need a back up, call me, i'm better than Lawal, i can even play in goal or blow the whistle. Utility ni mi ![]() Prediction: Ghana 2 Nigeria 4 |
Maybe NL peeps have failed to realize that Northerners always seem to want to get away with criminal activities. I've not seen the EFCC lay solid hands on a corrupt northerner. When a "big" northerner's case gets to the court, it ends there, like Muhammed Abacha, Al mustapha and co, but when it comes to people like Rev. King and co, they are quick to revisit the Gallows. ![]() Till jesus comes, the Oil windfall case will continue to rise and fall. Besides, it is widely rumoured that some of the big companies providing well paid jobs for Nigerians started up from the proceeds of this Oil Windfall. I'm not being tribalistic here, but it's something i've noticed about the Judiciary (The office of the Chief Justice of the federation has been occupied by , in the last three terms?) So you see! ![]() Okigbo doesn't sound northern, neither does Oputa, so how are the Big Overpopulated boys to take them serious? ![]() |

More reason why no one's concerned about Inter's unbeaten record. At a time they had the best team in the whole of the Serie A but could only go as far as third, always fiddling behind Juve and Milan and now that both are rocked by crisis and for the fact that they do not get to play Juve at all, the media are unconcerned about Mancini's exploits, this may well be inter's only serie A title in another decade cos Juve's coming back again (though not as strong) and Milan is sure to revive. |
I guess we are 8th cos of the transfer values of Martins, Mikel, Yakubu and co and also for the cummulative goal scoring adventures of Yak, Martins, Kanu, Osaze, Ikechukwu Uche, Ijeh, Ogbuke and so on, abi now ![]() @ Kit, I never knew Fluker Eagles ever climbed up 5th in the world, Kai! |
Priscy, Our homeboy's doing well only that i've not seen much of him recently. Uche should get a call up this year hopefully. |
@ Galatico, I have started 16 topics on this subforum and I do not wish to start more any time soon. At this pace(considering the date you joined the forum), you'll beat Akola's record. Galactico needs to be rescued. Why not create a thread: Galatico's Blog I'll be a regular visitor there. Who's the playmaker delivering balls to Drogba, Yakubu or McCarthy? Zidane or Okocha? ![]() |
Guess this year's rematch will be a huge surprise and a season decider! |
Good job man, keep it up! |
@ Chukkie's bride, Dido or Enya? na just one word be the reply! |
Guys, What's happening to Kolawole, is he still in? I know him as a complete introvert, how's he coping (sorry I don't usually get to watch TV, sometimes just once in a month)! |
It was a great pity to the corpse of democracy has OBJ handed the results to the National Assembly and he made "HISTORY". A journalist said, yesterday, that the stretch from Abule Egba to Iyana Ipaja to Ikeja to Oshodi and finally to Mushin, considering both sides of that road is more than the total population of Kano, including their unborn babies. It's a pity how someone sill stand on the Bridge of Oshodi Oke for 5 hours and see tiny heads of lagosians heavily crowded yet have the guts to tell you there are only 100,000 people there in. You need to visit Winner's Chapel or the Synagogue or even Christ Embassy to see whats up on sundays. American journalists put lagos' population between 15 million and 22 million and our honorable presido handed 9 million in the name of "HISTORY". Ride on dawgs, the next fraud is elections and it's just around the corner. ![]() |

Thanks Ndipe, That was a typical Fela spirit talking in Femi. Thanks for the link, that's the kinda news i love to read, not Beyonce buys 10 million pound gold specs for Jay Z ![]() |
@ Stanech Na true talk bro. The north want to be active in nothing but politics. They want to be the sports minister, how many northerners participate in international sports (european football, boxing, weight lifting, swimming, fencing, sumo wrestling . . .? 60 million! How many northerners make our hip hop tick? 100 million! Check the national assembly, 200 zillion When it comes to inflating figures, they are perfect. Anything that has to do with numbers favouring them, they are down. Before, allocation was by land mass, now that they are even "more", it can as well be by population. Since the elections are drawing nigh, you can imagine what we are going to see again, and for that one, i won't be surprised at all. The north is here to stay, for real, like the military (who owns the military sef?) ![]() If Kano was Lagos in reality, it'd have 50 million residents. Chikena! ![]() |
