CrimeRe: She Dumped Me Because I'm A Yahoo Yahoo Boy by Christino(m): 6:50pm On Feb 19, 2007
I respect this yahoo yahoo boy cos he's just so brave to come online to say this, but He's still a coward though cos the EFCC are lurking around waiting to see his contact details.

Shame on YOU! and JAIL on YOU!. grin

And the girl who dumped you is not a REAL Lagos chic at all, you mean she left you for a student or what? Jeez. these girls jump at aristo fathers who happen to be Yahoo Yahoo Chairmen and Cocaine / Agbero Chairmen, so what's the difference. People who make money through dubious means are more respected and honored in Nigeria than honest men. I salute her too, that's if she didn't leave you for a richer and prolly a more dubious fellow grin

TAKE heart, look for a Yahoo Yahoo Girl!

PoliticsRe: Analysis Of Nigerian 2006 Census Results by Christino(m): 11:07am On Feb 17, 2007
@ Xopher

Okay sentiments apart, you will agree with me that lagos must have increased in population since 2003, and that people who had access to the national ID card stuff then were 18 and above and more people would have graduated into that age range since four years ago.

So what's happening to the voter's list? are people returning to their hometowns to register again?Do you expect population figures to depreciate at that rapid rate within 3 years or is it that people are now getting non challant about political procedures?

Many people may not have registered in other parts of the country, release their voter's list first and let's see then we can conclude that if 2 million people fail to register in lagos, maybe about 300,000 did not register in Kano or some other city. In my department for example, only 7 out of 15 people registered, for bankers, it's even worse!
PoliticsRe: Indicted Politicians Cannot Contest by Christino(m): 10:28am On Feb 17, 2007
Maybe many people can't see that this movement is targetted at eliminating political enemies. This had been planned long ago, i guess that was why Ibori and co were eliminated and some "EFCC untouched" guys were brought in. PDP is indeed wise. grin but how long will it take them to cleanse this land of corrupt officials?
PoliticsRe: Analysis Of Nigerian 2006 Census Results by Christino(m): 10:28am On Feb 17, 2007
@ Xopher,

Please be informed that many people did not register for the elections. I know quite a huge number of people who did not, myself inclusive wink, yet i was counted during the elections.

I can therefore say about 1/3 of Lagosians did not register or maybe even more than that.

PoliticsRe: Indicted Politicians Cannot Contest by Christino(m): 1:04am On Feb 17, 2007
Indicted Politicians can't contest? Na when dem realise that one? shey na when Atiku start to dey halla?

OBJ is the wisest man in Nigeria, I see him ruling on for the next 4 years if he so desires, no one knows what's next on his political coconut agenda. Why didn't this issue come up since the time brutal people like IBB declared interest in the Presidential race, why now?

PDP - Bring the basket, Share the money, Power to d Pope (president), Remove the umbrella and spray the groundnuts! grin

If this issue is not targetted at Atiku, then who else? He should be happy this is all the PDP have to offer and not assassination as is the norm. shocked

@ Thread Starter,

Why not go into the freestyle thread to drop your rhymes, then check all the tourney threads and drop some, maybe wild cats can then take you serious. You can't expect to get people to battle with you if your CV is weak.

Ps: why did you purposely request for a "whack" Emcee 2 battle with?

Yea you are right, 1GB but you can create as many ID's as you want and have 2,3,4 or even 10GB all that matters is a central downloading point for everyone where u can share your music library, it's painful when someone uploads on yousendit and other's dont check this thread until 7 days later and he has to reupload. You dig?

@ Sharetroll,

BTW, have you heard Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Weber, the soundtrack/performance did not gain ground and i've had this cd since wayback 1993. I can sing all the tracks in it without missing a word (off hand) over 16 tracks.

To show you how much of a music freak i'd been since back then, now you come here with your peeps claiming rap is bullshit. Abeg make una find sumtin do grin

Here's the site, if you have the mp3, holla.

The lady frusrated says again, "T.G.I.F." Again the man says, "Poo." The lady turns to the man and says, "How dare you swear in the presence of a lady! T.G.I.F.; thank god it's friday." The man turns to her and says, "I wasn't swearing! Poo.; sorry honey it's thursday!

ComputersRe: Ubuntu Linux by Christino(m): 7:33pm On Feb 10, 2007
But can you access the internet?

You may not be able to connect to other systems but you should be able to browse. Secondly, other windows pcs use the network setup wizard, i don't know if there is an equivalent in Ubuntu. Check your workgroup/domain settings cos most companies have one. And also if other systems have a DNS server address or default gateway you may need to enter those too.

Can you see your laptop from the other systems?
Music/RadioRe: Classical Music Is Better Than Rap by Christino(m): 11:04am On Feb 09, 2007
Wiseguy,

Have you ever heard of Gospel RAP? Are you really sure you even understand classical music sef? Is it the lyrics you are after or the melodies?

And to think that RAP is all about those things you listed there makes you a mediocre, sorry to say, at least you should back your claims up with proofs. NOT all raps are gangsta raps.

You've heard Dilemma by Nelly and Into You by Fabolous, how do such tracks relate to your baseless assumptions above. You are just a member of the infamous, popular misconception about RAP. Go eat your classical music.

If you say u love classical music, then fine, but when you come criticizing RAP and all whatnot, then i'll give you what you want, that's the real gangsta rap. OLODO! cheesy

TravelLagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Lanes Enforced by Christino(op): 9:00am On Feb 09, 2007
As from Saturday, the 10th of February, it will be an offence to drive on the BRT lanes, with a fine of about N 50,000 shocked naira already approved by the State Govt. LASTMA has promised to be on the lookout with Cameras and power bikes to nab offenders including military men, bullion vans, commercial bus drivers as well as stubborn private "my car" owners. Buses plying the route will be provided by LASTMA in collaboration with some private bodies and you can buy bus tickets up to a month. Buses will leave the terminal every 5 minutes so that you don't need to wait till the bus gets filled up.

Originally we thought the rule would apply during rush hours but from the news reaching us, the buses will be on duty from 6:00am till 12:00 midnight with "HEAVY" security. In effect, the BRT is out of bounds to other drivers. Please take note.

This is to encourage lagosians to leave their cars at home and as a result reduce the volume of traffic on lagos roads. This development is welcome and i think it's another step forward.

What do you think? Will it work? How long will it last?

Fellow Lagosians,
Please avoid the BRT (Yellow and leftmost) Lanes at all cost - always keep right, 50,000 is not beans! moreover, time is precious don't spend valuable time in the traffic and more time in their office. English go finish for vocab that very day! grin
