Your case is most complicated - basically cos you love the guy, but I can't categorically judge this, i'll leave the girls to judge.

Radiant, come help a sister in dilemma o!

but before then, let me tell you some bitter truth about us guys;

You can't hold a guy down with sex, money or pregnancy. If you leave, someone else will provide those, so don't hastily provide those, cos if you don't he can as well survive. He's been getting it before you came by and he will when you are gone.

He calls you fiance, and so what? If tomorrow he calls you step sister, what are you gonna do? If you go to his house this night and see another girl in Nightie/lingerie, are you gonna commit suicide? Wake up and smell the fish, this guy is obviously not your destination, dust your pants and move on. He has no respect for you whatsoever, how the hell are you gonna count if he decides to punish you by marrying you?

I strongly believe there's someone for everyone out there, it's just a matter of open mindedness, watchfulness, patience and perseverance and you'll be happy again.

Don't visit him no more. Talk on phone. Don't go outta your way to please him, it'll break your heart even more when you find out he's been using you. He does not have you in his future plans so bounce or show him your break lights. Don't even wait for him to call it quitX type his divorce papers right now dat u r online and be polite enough to tell him "he'll always be your baby dog - puppy" grin

I wish i could be a friend 2 u, feel deep pity, I guess no one is perfect afterall, not even Chris.

@ Tosin

Barca fans thought they couldn't replace Romario, they Got Ronaldo next. They thought Ronaldo would be missed, they Got Rivaldo, they sold Rivaldo afterwards and later got hold of Ronaldinho, so tell me, soldier go soldier come, football is like a battle field, warriors come and go, commanders come and go.

Just like Napoli fans wil say there's only one diego, Fiorentina'll also say that of Batty, you can say that of Henry but I can categorically state that Arsenal will come up with an equally potent goalscorer.

Van Persie is already proving he's replaced Bergkamp, I don't think Wenger has no plan B.

@ Topic:

I think the first poster is only talking a bout a FUTURE replacement for Henry just like Man-U will be hoping to get a replacement for Ryan Giggs. He believes a youth out there should be able to step into his shoes. Ya'll should remember that Henry did not shine in his early days, in fact until Wenger groomed him @ arsenal and he can group one of these youngsters into his shoes someday.

I'm not a gunner, but i think this topic should be more interesting to Gunners. You should know who has those qualities: pace, foresight, ball control and predative instincts. Haba. Why attack the guy? I see nothing wrong in the question. THere ain't a footballer in this world who cannot be replaced - NONE!!!!

Hope you don't think i support battering, only that if my sister's husband beats her I wouldn't be happy, I'll try my best to call the guy to order but if it happens in a marriage, honestly, there's very little i can do. If it's just a bf gf thing, i'll advise her to break up with him, there's no point. What you won't condone when you become wealthy, you should start rejecting it while you are poor! (yoruba proverb)

When they get married and she comes in daily to complain that he beats her if there's enough evidence, i'll hand him over to the police. Broken hearts can be mended, not dead hearts, i won't wait for him to kill my sister before acting, but even after doing all that, i still won't advice a break up, i'll let it come out from his mouth. As for my sister, she can stay with me, no matter how inconvenient it may seem, until he calls for divorce. That way, she's better off than going to get a house or what have you. A woman's home remains her husband's house and I won't be the ITK to tear them apart. It's a complex case to deal with, but that's probably what i'd do, not that i'll definitely do that. The circumstances'll dictate my humble or animalistic reaction.

If he cheats on her, i can't arrest him, I'll wish for her to divorce him, but i won't advice her to do so. IT's really bad because he can come back home to give her HIV and what have you or even make her a step mother. Women are so soft men tend to trample over their hearts. No matter how hard hearted, they tend to forgive their man even when he cheats or is obviously a player - that is one phenomenon i still can't explain.

Darling Radiant, hope i've answered your question at least partially?

ROMAN AGAIN!!!

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=397279&cc=3888

After investing so much in the youth system, Roman believes there won't be any need to spend big money on future signings.

The Academy is sure to start yielding fruit soon. Just like Lampard was a fruit of the West Ham Youth system, Chelsea can start dreaming of successors for Terry and co.

This is Roman at work again and I don't know how the old Chelsea would have financed such a huge project while signing Big names alongside!

Please note that the old dogs won't be around for too long. Ballack, Shevy, Makelele and Co are ageing or aged. Most of chelsea's players are above 26.

NO Roman NO. . .grin

Now the complete news:

Abramovich plans to curb Blues spending

Roman Abramovich claims Chelsea's spending in the transfer market will soon be reduced as he expects investment in the club's academy to start bearing fruit.

Since the Russian's £140million takeover of the Stamford Bridge club in 2003 the Blues have won two Premiership titles thanks largely to their new-found financial muscle.

But Abramovich believes the expected results of significant investment in the club's youth system will reduce the need to speculate so lavishly in the transfer market.

He told The Observer: 'Our strategy is to bring up our own players through the academy, which we have invested a lot in, and we hope that will give results.

'We will be spending less in the transfer market in future years.'

Though denying he has any involvement in picking the team, Abramovich admitted he does influence the club's business in the transfer market - though he insisted manager Jose Mourinho has the final say.

'I'm not involved in team selection.

'I cannot say I'm completely not involved in buying players, but my role would be significantly lower than that of the manager's. You cannot compare them. To give an example, this would be an impossible situation when a manager does not want a player to be bought and I try to impose ideas. It would not work.'

Speculation in some quarters suggested £30million striker Andriy Shevchenko was an `Abramovich buy'.

But the club owner insisted his policy applied to all signings: 'Any player, Shevchenko included.'

Abramovich also spoke about suggestions Chelsea are just his current hobby, of which he will eventually tire.

'People who know me said I will win one or two Premierships and will not be interested after that.

'The reality is that we've won two Premierships but I'm more excited about this particular season than last year or the year before.'

@ Radiant.

Honestly, if you was married to me, you'd be begging me to beat you up whenever you offend grin grin. ALLAH! OMG! you really got me cracking up since yesterday and you'll never cease to amaze me. Thanks.

See i won't argue with you, you've said your mind, and like i said, it's because you don't live in Naija where "MARRIAGE" is jealously protected, especially by women, who happen to be more educated and even richer than you probably are! Here in Naija, many women clothe, feed and house the family and even pay school fees. Check out our private universities and how many women pay the fees of their wards, many a lot. So enough of those bobo and obembe about being independent and stuff, money can't buy you peace in marriage! And in Nigeria, just in case you've forgotten - if you are not with your husband, it's a BIG COMMA! You can argue it from now till next millenium but 90% of peeps reading this thread will agree it's true and that's even more than enough.

Now to the issue of facing reality or breaking marriage vows and stuffs, i've seen girls who've boasted all their lives, i can't buy recharge cards for a guy, i can't sweep a guy's room, i can never ever suffer with a guy, i can't wash a guy's clothes, over my dead body. Please take a trip to our University campuses or NYSC PPA's you'd be shocked to see your close boaster doing all the dirty jobs in the world for a guy, and if need arises, she'd even do the deatiest job as in i don't want to get even but i mean "that" Job! cheesy. I feel pity for ladies cos the bitter truth remains "It's a man's world!" sad

I respect your opinion, but i don't agree with the fact that the other part of my brain is dead, nope it's working on other stuffs other than women matters. "I gat 99 problems and a girl ain't one" wink

My summary is i honestly don't know why men waste their time to beat women. Women are just so awesome it requires some deep understanding to deal with them, but if you must pay back, why go physical, why not do it my way - The mafia way - quiet, easy, polite, humble but the most painful way? Sure Radiant'll stick with me cos she'd prefer that way - nice and slow - the ether - slow poison (hope you know what i mean, guys?)
grin

All the same i'm not single. Thanks for your contribution, it's very welcome, we learn new things daily don't we? You'll make a good marriage counsellor and i'll come to you when it's time to settle down.

Okay,

So you feel leaving is the best choice right? Okay permit me to ask, I am, and would like to know if you are from a broken home. I'll be disappointed if you are - why? you obviously did not miss either of your parents.

Do you know how it feels raising kids alone only to tell them someday that I left your dad because he slapped me. Maybe you are now with the love of your life who only cheats secretly but don't slap, had some other kids for you and expose your kids to the risk of having a step dad or what have you, or you simply decided to stay alone (body no be wood o) depending on your age, what if you are just 24  with three kids (like omotola jalade?)

Girls, face it because you are cracking me up here. DOn't even cite Oprah as an example. Money ain't the thing, the fact that you're independent don't mean you shouldn't have a man, only that you don't depend on him. And when you go get your house (instead of going to your papa's) you have declared yourself a "mama ndagbe", please don't do that unless you've really made up your mind. In actual fact, the idiot can as well beat you up right in your house before your kids (his step kids) and leave for another gf's house - i'm sure it happens over there too grin) so in that case who won? You keep moving till you tired of guys, then you shut your heart and shut your. . . MEN - don't try them o, if it's possible, they'll surely do itcheesy

Are you african? don't even blame the African mentality because we have far too many divorces over there than we do here. I begin to wonder, are these women trully happy and fulfilled? There ain't no "aponle" for a woman without a crown. Well i guess in life you need to choose when it comes. Please make a wise choice, think about your kids, your marriage, your parents, your colleagues and yourself when you jump into calling it quit all because he . . . Is it worth it? Are you ready to be single again, with kids?

Ladies, i trust you are saying your mind, but i'll wait till you share a real life testimony, and i'll like to hear from you 10 years from this time if i'm still alive. Keep in touch grin
RomanceRe: Battered, Bruised But Still Hanging On To Your Boyfriend by Christino(m): 11:32pm On Dec 23, 2006
You know the worst issues to address are not even economic issues, social issues like relationships have no hard and fast rules. Maturity is highly needed, but individuals differ in character and world views.

One man's food is another man's poison, what makes another man happy may be death for the next man.Don't blame girls who say they want to stay, whatever you think of them for that reason, they think of you as well.

I'm not forcing it down your throats, because it's real and it's happening. My Dad has been married to my mum for 24 years, never laid a hand on her, but honestly, i wish he did. I'll save you the gory details because it's not entertaining to the ears.

Wife battery is not only physical okay? Like i said earlier, there are other ways to beat your wife and i'm sure you know what i'm talking about. Okay tell me what's the worst thing your guy can do to break your heart - definitely not physical beating or is it?

Finally, boyfriend/girlfriend relationship is different. Battery in marriage is even more complicated, especially when you have kids already. Tell me, would you walk out of your marriage if he lays hands on you? Would you go back to your father's house?

Women can be beaten at times in any kind of relationship and so can men. I'm saying because it's so so real we can't afford to keep it any more, it's like pregnancy in sex education. Imagine Goodguy was married to Laila Ali or some Sumo wrestler (haven't you heard of Efe and Jude?) would he raise a hand against her? But i'll tell you what, I won't be surprised if they are married to wife beaters, I grew up in the ghetto were Mama so so so and Baba so so so would fight in the streets and then come home to treat their wounds (mama is a nurse) and i've come to realise that it is possible in any relationship, men are usually the first to attack - because of the "natural" male ego.

We are naturally more powerful and muscular than women and as a result, tend to protect our ego at all cost. It's rare to see women fight one another physically, but it's so common among men, some fight week in week out, check out the millitary, we dominate. Check out the sports, athletics, football and co, adrenaline is key.

I'm not forcing you women to accept that you can be beating, i'm telling you that it happens so much that I don't need to tell you that it's commonplace.

For instance. Janet was married to a wife beater, now divorced (now with JD). Bobby beats whitney and cheats on her, (i understand divorce is on d way). Our beautiful Halle Berry was battered by Eric Bennet until she broke up with him.Need i go into details of pastors who beat their wives? these are physical cheats, obviously we can't count the ones who "cheat" an emotional form of beating - those ones who deny (starve) their wives of "that thing" and go ahead to get married to other women and even have kids by them.

Girls, I pray you get good guys in your life and not wife beaters, cheaters and men who don't appreciate you because honestly, it's easier said than done. If only one could draw, mould and activate the kind of partner we want, then we'll all be happy thereafter, but as fate has it, we just have to make do with the good the bad and the ugly. I don't expect you to agree with me 100%, it's just the way i see it from my side of the mirror.

Someone raised an important question on TV today:

The Super eagles have never won a major tourney since 1994 but are the 9th best in the world and 1 in africa.

The super falcons have won trophies for keeps yet are 24 in the world despite representing africa in major tourneys also, are those FIFA guys actually normal?

How did Zidane's name get there in the first place. SOmeone said the world cup is like four champions league for the fact that it comes up once in four years and is the worlds most coveted trophy, no yawa, all the same they were fair enough not to give it to him.

You obviously did not read my posts insightfully, you prolly just brushed through because they were long.

Now go back and read the parts where i stated that Pre-Roman Chelsea was good and salary cap and other spendings were kept at the minimum,

Currently, wages are at the maximum attracting concern from other football governing bodies among others. Since Portsmouth takeover, how many transfers have gone beyond 10 million pounds? I remember chelsea were ready to pay as much as 40mill pounds or more for Adriano, Can't remember the figures for Henry back then.

The case is Chelsea surviving without a rich owner at the moment is unthinkable. Face it.

I never said Chelsea were relegation candidates before Abramovich, so please go back and read all my posts before coming to repeat what i've said.Chelsea will be around for as long as Roman's millions can sustain until their accounts become balanced (don't see that happening in 7 years!!!)

@ Topic.

Only men of low self esteem beat women, except of course the woman makes that choice. But there are even more evil ways to punish a woman than raise your hands against her.But my advice to men is

1. Tell her right away how hurt you feel
2. Leave the scene immediately once you feel your anger starting to boil, or your voice start to rise or adrenaline rushing through ur muscles. It's worse if she locks the door or stands in your way, never show her how strong you can be, just sit on the floor and calm down naturally. if she gets offensive, then show her how powerful you her by overpowering her. Get behind her, squeeze her from the back then go down gently (in this position you sit, she sits, she's kicking hard and you are squeezing her hard, she's losing power while you're kissing the nape of her neck) If she's not possessed, she should come down. Don't get up immediately, please hold her down for about 10 minutes while you rock her gently. Please don't beat them girls.

Hope this works, i've tried it once and it worked for me, the next time, I almost lost my life grin (e don do, now let's go)

Now let me give you an example.

A woman loves a guy so much that she'd do anything to keep him. The guy's so strict and phylosophical the woman can't cope and whenever she breaks the rules, he doesn't come home, he doesn't talk to her, call her or eat her food. Naturally, that lady'll prefer to be beaten than go through those psychoemotional pains. Physical pains is d least of all punishments and that's why those ladies prefer to stay. huh

Funny as it seems, during the process of beating the woman, they end up doing "sumtin" while she's sobbing - LoL. A lady confidentially opened up 2 me that she'd rather be beaten than watch her love go into some b**ch's arms. To her that's the worst punishment especially if he fails to use protection, a bastard at the corner or some disease that's sure to come to her and I reason with that. cool

Never blame a fighting couple, just stop the physical fight if you can and speak kind words to the man. In the case where the first attacker is the woman, I don't know what to say, honestly. sad

But for all you ladies saying bla bla bla because you've never experienced it, I can't help but laugh, because when it happens, you'll run back to this thread to see how it's done. Stop boasting, let's see you handle such a situation, unless of course you ain't found the kind of guy you'll stick with "against all odds or come what may" obviously, you aren't married grin

The Ultimate silverware remains the premiership, and if you read through my posts, i'm not the fellow who started watching the premiership when Okocha came to Bolton, if it is to dig history up, i have that right here, the silverware i mean here is the EPL and if you can see, that's been Jose's top priority, alongside the Champs League. When last did Chelsea win the old Premier League before Jose? tell me o. Last year they won none of the trophies you listed above and no one raised a brow, if they had failed to win the EPL for example and won the carling cup or whatever i don't know if some fake fans woulda been compensated by that, they all expect an outright EPL win year in year out.

I don't know how on earth you think i don't know about those silverwares of the Zola Era, i'm talking about the EPL which Chelsea has laid claim to since Roman's second year. Who cares about the League Cup, we all know Carling is consolation for a poor season grin even Boro won it a few years back and Big Sam made the finals. I marvel when people record the Charity shield as a cup, I always see it as a friendly.

All said and done, like I said Pre-Roman Chelsea'd naturally finish top 5 in the league, but as the team presently is, if you withdraw Roman's millions (with all the world's starting internationals and team captains grin) they'll join Derby County few years to come. Bet it.

Glad you've been a chelsea fan for close to 12 years that at least makes maximum sense to me at least i've seen a fan and not "unjust" fanatics joining the winning "canteen".

Music/RadioRe: Who's Got Lyrics: Ruggedman Or Modenine? by Christino(m): 12:25am On Dec 22, 2006
I'll pick F-siX before RuggedMan.

Who the hell compares with Mode 9?

Every one with their opinion jare. I ain't seen a rugged's track moving me. Rubbish raplines don't move me anyway, you gotta convince me your rap touches people's hearts be it hard core or soft core or whatever.

I HATE COMMERCIAL RAPPERS!!!

Don't come after me if you need to live long. unless you've done a lil bit of research and u ready to defend your statements with your lyf.

I don't hate Rugged, but I can't compare him with Modey, Lyrically? that's even worse!
