maasoap:if you can't see the nonsense yemi kale was playing at and you do not think he was wrong but feel i'm daft for pointing out the obvious fact that h goofed big time, then it's obvious that your brain is leaking somewhere and you're actually daft and dull too. the problem with most of you guys is that you lack cognitive reasoning. if as at today,a newscaster is reading a headline news that states that "7.9m jobs were lost in the last 21 months" and she does not state that this report was issued at xyz time in the past,it automatically means she is talking about a current report/event as the last 21 months, takes into consideration this month/the earliest preceding month. "in the last 21 months" takes into consideration, activities covering all those months,up until now. if it wasn't a recent report, yemi kale should have just pointed out that there's an error in the reporing from channels, and move on. but he goes ahead tweeting that the channels report is correct and accurate but reno's use of "just released" makes it a lie. 99.9% of people who haven't seen that report before, would understand it to be a recent report. more than 50% of people who have seen it before, might assume it to be an updated report and this is as a result of the way it was reported on channels. it isn't reno's fault that he took it as a "just released" report and the unnecessary haggling of the use of "just released" by yemi kale, was totally irrelevant. |
deomelo:i've told you to stop quoting me if you don't have anything sensible to say. i have no relationship with ipob or anybody from the east. get a brain and do something worthwhile with your life instead of constituting yourself into a nuisance on nairaland. |
LaudableXX:may God bless the folks who birthed you. that's just it. the back and forth with reno was meaningless. reno wasn't the source of the info. point it out to him that there's an error from the media outfit, state the correct fact and move on. simple!!! he started arguing meaninglessly and that's what made everything sound dumb. |
LaudableXX:exactly. the misinformation came from channels but some pea sized brain idiots here are just typing thrash and talking about how good he is at his job when that is actually not the bone of contention. i dont know how these tweets he had back and forth with reno, sounds reasonable to anybody. it's even embarrassing that someone of his status and level,is the one tweeting all that nonsense. |
Okpoloeyes:shut up your stupid mouth and stop sounding like a bloody fool. i'm not concerned about who appointed him or who did not. i basically responded to the unnecessary back and forth argument he had with reno. if a tv station reports an old news item like it is a current news without stating that it was for an earlier period,it isn't the fault of the listener if he takes it to be a current piece of information. the back and forth exchanges in those tweets made no iota of sense for someone of his pedigree. i'm not bothered about attaining his height in career cos that's irrelevant to me. next time when you want to respond to my posts, put on your thinking cap before commenting. oponu oshi. |
seunmsg:it's a different thing if reno knew the report was for last year, but was using it to malign govt. that being said,a neutral person or listener, can never tell if the report was for last year,if channels didnt state it there expressly. everyone would take it as a recent report. |
Fiyinfoluwa20:fine,he might be a very resourceful person for the country but the line and sequence of the argument was dull. anyways,i can't blame him. buhari's uselessness has made everybody who works under him,to sound dull. |
deomelo:here comes one of the dafties on nairaland known to be an ardent buhari supporter, trying to act smart when it's obvious he is dull. first things first,it is not the job of the receiver of a news,to start finding out if something that was just said on air today, happened today or last year. if a news outlet wants to pass on a news item of something that happened last month or last year, they would state it clearly that it happened at a particular time. if i tune in to my favorite news channel today and they state during the course of reading the news that 7 million people lost their jobs in the last 21 months, and they do not state that the report was issued last 2 or 3 months or last year,it obviously means they are telling me this thing happened recently. until the news outlet issues a correction to state that the report was issued a xyz time in the past,it automatically translate to being a recent development. when people with functional brains are talking, learn to keep quiet if you do not have anything meaningful to say. don't be a zombie and slowpoke that must say something just because you want to support the government in power. use your brain if you have one. |
poor people and their problem sha. i don't know what exactly that you're trying to do but if it's getting back at her,i must say that you are not wise. instead of you to hide your head and thank God for the improvement, you're going to look for trouble by buying kerosene and tomatoes and reminding somebody about something very irrelevant. by the time the witch decides to attack your family and reduce you guys to her level of poverty and all of you start selling tomatoes and kerosene and okrika shoes under the rain, that is when you will have sense. |
the nbs person is daft. if channels news reported an item yesterday and said 7m jobs were lost in the last 21 months, are we expected to assume it's an old news article? obviously, everyone would assume that report to be a current news item. so why the unnecessary back and forth about it being a lie? it looks like they intentionally assembled all the dull and non-functioning brain humans to work under this buhari's govt. |
he for try perform first before running na. why some people nor dey ever get sense for their life sef? |
caprini1:OK. These guys don't understand that Nigerian politics doesn't work that way. You can't just come from the moon and want to be a president in Nigeria. It can't fly. |
What? A gx470 for 500k? That guy is a criminal and should not be released. |
caprini1:Who's that one again? |
49cents:As much as I would love to be optimistic, I also have to be realistic and the reality on ground is that this man isn't popular outside the internet. Elections are not won on the internet. Go and ask people around you on ground if they know him. Secondly, ask about his political party. When APC and PDP are campaigning in the rural areas, they are able to pull crowds cos they have structures and presence in those local areas. Back in the days, I didn't want to vote pdp or AD or AC and I kept voting for okotie's Fresh Democratic Party but they never won any election anywhere in Nigeria. It wasn't because their candidates were bad but because they had no serious structure anywhere. Leadership entails a lot and for a nation like Nigeria, you have to plan ahead and set up your structures and form formidable political alliances across zones, before you start talking about contesting for presidency. Anybody who doesn't do that, is a complete political novice and a very unserious candidate who doesn't deserve the votes of the electorates. There is a difference between reality and wishful thinking. Politics is about reality. |
comradeodunze:coming from someone who can't think logically but would rather take the emotional/sentimental route cos that's the easiest way. politics is not for kids. |
flowmama:exactly what i was about pointing out |
MakeNigeriaGrea:i like to talk and argue with people who talk with sense and not people driven by emotions. i'm not arse licking anybody but telling you how nigerian politics is currently being played. before you start talking about a candidate winning, you must first understand how the game is being played, and then assess his chances of winning. |
DonPikko:this your comment alone shows that you dont know about nigerian politics at all. arguing with you would be a waste of time. go and ask people who are versed with the politics of this country and they would explain better to you. |
DonPikko:you don't get it. the issue isn't whether they can perform or not. it is how they are going about it. now tell me,how do you intend to sell these guys to the electorates up north who feel the president must come from that zone since there's already an unwritten rule that the presidency would rotate between the north and south every 8 years? jonathan lost majorly because he decided to contest a second term when the north felt he should have stepped down. you guys need to understand how nigerian politics is played before arguing certain things. even if you win all the votes in the south,if you do not get at least 25% of votes in the states where you lost, you can't be declared the winner of a presidential election in nigeria. that's why you need grassroot structures round the country to deliver the mandatory 25% of votes in areas that are not your strongholds. |
resurgent2019:spare me all that bullshit. i'm an advocate for change and i desire true change. no matter how lovely the intentions of these guys are,one thing is sure and that is the fact that their approach is totally not going to work. elections are not won on the internet but at the grassroot level. you need a proper political structure to achieve this and these guys do not have that now. they are going no where. |
kurt09:they don't need to use my money to campaign before i speak up. not everybody is politically savvy or enlightened and as a citizen who desires true change,it is my responsibility to educate the politically naive electorates, not to waste their votes on clowns who want to be president of a country of 180m people, but do not have the intelligence to go about it the right way. the mission to remove a colossal failure from aso-rock,is a difficult one and we need the electorates to channel their votes to a realistic candidate and not just anybody. |
DonPikko:people like you are part of the problems of nigeria. is politics in america the same as nigeria? how can you be comparing apples and pineapple together;do they look alike? the fact that there is apple in the spelling of pineapple, doesnt make them the same thing. the nigerian terrain is totally different from what obtains in the west and you have to take that into consideration, before getting into politics. |
2019 is not the year to vote for people like this man. the presidency has been zoned to the north in the two major political parties and any candidate who isn't from the north isn't going to win. we need to be smart in the south and stop all these yamayama. all hands must be on deck to remove buhari in 2019 an any vote for people like kingsley moghalu, sowore, fela durotoye and the rest, would just be a total waste and would make it harder to unseat buhari. kingsley moghalu should contest or senate and go and build his political network and alliance there. nigerian politics is different from that in the western world. you need to be grounded in these things before you come and to say you are contesting for presidency. the battle is going to be up north and for kingsley moghalu to get the required 25% o the votes casted in each northern state,is highly impossible. he isn't even popular in the south, not to talk of the north where their emirs and immams are the ones who tell them who to vote for. sowore, moghalu, durotoye and co are unserious clowns who do not know what it takes to be the president of nigeria, politically and such people would only waste our votes in 2019. politics is about structures in nigeria and theese guys are even contesting under parties without political structures in grassroot areas. they should remember it isn't only the elite and enlightened folks, that would vote in 2019. how do you explain to a man in the rural parts of borno, nasarawa, adamawa, sokoto, maiduguri, taraba, niger, zamfara, benue, plateau, kano, kaduna, and several other places that they should vote for kingsley moghalu, fela durotoye or omoyemi sowore? these guys are not as popular as they think and cant get votes in such areas if pitted against buhari. the 3 of them should just go and sit down somewhere if they are not ready to take the right steps, politically. you dont just jump out of nowhere and start vying to be president of a difficult country like nigeria. |
i think this was developed for rural areas. not a bad innovation. |
lol. OP,better go do another poster with another party cos having anything to do with apc right now, will work against you. |
this is very disturbing. |
I hope they were able to get details(name and number and address) of his accomplice before burning the bagger to death. Serves him right. |
mixter:Are you listening to yourself at all? Do you know what a constitution means? If the president is that powerful, why has buhari not shut down the senate since? Why is he asking them to come back from recess to approve election budget? Some of you will just come and be talking on the internet like you're talking to kids. |
this guy is a clown. this just shows you that he doesn't know his left from his right. how is he going to get senators in the senate to vote for such when his party doesnt even have a senate rep in the red chamber? dude be talking like a nursery school pupil that is promising his friends heaven and earth if he eventually gets a bicycle. |
Metuh:Mumu, I don't need him to know I exist. Incase you're close to him, just tell him to stop posting nonsense on the internet in the name of building buzz for upcoming album wey fit no sell pass 10 copies. |

If there was a discrepancy between what Reno stated, and the info carried by those sources, he should have just pointed it out, in black & white. And then, kept quiet. Doesn't he have a Ph.d? Where is the intellectual rigour in his response?
He should be attacking Channels TV that carried the report. Instead, he is quarrelling with Reno, who merely repeated what a news channel had previously circulated, on air. Why can't Kale take Channels TV to task?
