I don't even know how some Nigerians think. How is it possible for government to want to increase nysc allowance to 49k when they haven't increased minimum wage? Currently, government is borrowing heavily to fund the budget which is made up of largely recurrent expenditures which covers this. Until the issue of the new minimum wage is settled, I don't see how nysc allowance would be increased and with the amount of borrowings and debts on ground, they can never increase it to 49k. Reason is that the moment they increase it with minimum wage, other sectors(people like ASUU and the likes) would start pushing for a wage increase. We have seen this over and over again in this country. |
I don't know how Nigerians manage to enjoy certain songs though. This isn't the type of song I'd like to put on replay. |
modelmike7:Are you for real? Freezing the bank accounts of an entire state where there is a sitting government? So how is the state supposed to function and pay salaries and all that? What kind of thinking and thought processes do you apc supporters usually possess? |
Damage control. We are not gullible and we all know what went down. |
Well said. Keeping a relationship is a full time job. Having to keep more than one at the same time,is stressful. Ladies who can do this without stress, are just a few steps from being prostitutes. Same goes for the guys. How does having your dick in different vaginas everytime feel? Don't you guys ever get scared of stds? |
When the government is still struggling to pay salaries, how will they fund this? |
bukatyne:can't remember this being about religious beliefs. |
wonderful. how about pdp fielding another muslim candidate with a christian deputy and CAN mobilizes them to vote for the pdp candidate? that would be checkmate. muslim votes to be split into 2,while christian votes go to pdp. |
lol. they're trying hard to wriggle out of the mess with the apkabio situation since everyone already knows what it's about. too bad but this is dead on arrival. tell us something else. |
Seal33:someone like me that my body knows how to give signal when a lady is about misbehaving, wouldn't hesitate to exit a relationship once i see someone has a plan b somewhere. and if i want to punish the person,i could just decide to keep her as a sex tool till i'm ready to move on. |
QuietHammer:how very easy is it to keep platonic relationships with these men and guarantee yourself that nothing will happen? along the line, feelings would start to evolve,a little flirting here and there, couple of outings, one lone moment alone at home and boom, sex is happening. it's not as easy as you make it sound. |
Lol. It's funny how APC members are celebrating this. Saraki, melaye, kwakwanso, tambuwal, ortom and the likes who defected from apc to pdp, had cogent reasons why they did so and when explained, people would be able to at least see reasons with them. What is apkabio's reason for defecting to apc? No reasonable explanation can be given other than the fact that he stole money, was being blackmailed by the government to either defect to apc and help them win akwa ibom state, or face the music for stealing billions of naira and get hounded to jail by efcc. In the history of Nigerian politics in years to come, his case would be a special one to be told to generations unborn and he'd be used as an example as to why one shouldn't be a thief, so as to avoid public disgrace and embarrassment. What a way to write one's name the history of our political history. |
Biglittlelois:Listen to me. Never be discouraged because you decided to be honest, upright and responsible. We live in a world where people have no dignity and it doesn't matter to them how they are perceived. Just keep your head up and continue being upright. |
I don't even know how people who think this foolish, manage to become famous. I've never had a back up gf and I don't ever intend to have one cos it's a whole lotta stress. Anybody who can't be exclusive with me should not bother dating me. God help you that I find out you're keeping a side nigga, that would be the end. If you like, be fine like mammy water, it's not my business. |
Sheriff19:My point is simple. Buhari isn't different from every other corrupt politician so people should stop supporting him based on his so called fake integrity. I have never supported corrupt politicians and I personally believe everyone who has occupied political position in this country, isn't free from being corrupt. What I preach against is double standard. If it's OK for you to classify pdp politicians as corrupt but the ones in apc as progressives who want to change the country for better when it's evident that they too are corrupt, then you are also part of the problem of this country. |
Ihsan6:If you are intelligent and not shallow minded, you would know what is going on. Go and read the comments made by Udom the current governor to know what is going on. And just so you know, I happen to have been close to some persons who were close to the seat of power in the past in akwa ibom at sometime in the past, so I know a few things. |
Hmm. With all the noise about fighting corruption, buhari decides to use efcc to threaten akpabio to decamp from pdp to apc, rather than prosecute him and recover our stolen money? And you still have people who think buhari has integrity and is fighting corruption? When I say buhari supporters are not intelligent and honest, I actually have a valid reason for saying so. Most of them are also very unintelligent. No difference between buhari and every other corrupt Nigerian leader. They all are same but with different packaging. |
So much for integrity and fight against corruption. |

okpanachil:Exactly. One thing I noticed on Nairaland is that people don't think deeply before commenting on critical issues. Most comments are usually out of sentiments. Taking the child in should never be an issue but sorting out those critical issues he raised up there, should be more important or else, he'd just get himself in a mess. Not too long ago, I was seriously considering settling down with a single mom. She asked certain questions about how I'd handle the child and I told her that wasn't going to be a problem. She was concerned about what my family would say if they found out I was going to be responsible for the kid's schooling despite the father being alive and I told her it wasn't going to be an issue as I do not intend to disclose certain things to them... I already zeroed my mind to the fact that if I eventually end up with this woman, this is what I should expect and not complain about, as it's part of the things one should expect when settling with someone like that. For me, it wouldn't have been an issue. But this guy's case is different. The dad of the girl is suddenly returning her to the mother because he just got married, and his wife would not take it if the roles were reversed. These are pertinent issues that calls for concern. |
lilmax:Exactly. This is the genesis of the problem. |
I think a lot of responders here, have missed the point. He has mentioned two things that caught my attention. 1: why the biological father of the girl is returning her to the mother because he just got married. Why should he be the one to deal with a child that two people apart from him, had out of wedlock. That's a very dicey issue here and it's selfishness on the part of the father of the child. If the girl had been with the mother all these years, it would have been a different story entirely. But returning her to the mother because he is now married, is a whole lot of something. The fact the mother-in-law is also asking for the girl to be taken away from her, is something else. 2: he also mentioned that he knows very well that if the reverse was the case, his wife would have non of it and wouldn't accept that. That tells you something is wrong somewhere. We might out of sympathy and humanity ask him to take the child in, but there are critical underlying issues that needs to be dealt with. I personally understand how single moms of this generation behave. In a relationship, everything must be about them and their child/children first, before you. Their first love and attention would be to their child before their spouse. This might affect the relationship between this man, his wife and kids pretty soon. The person who should be pressured to keep the child, is the biological father of the child. He is alive and capable and should take up the responsibility. I'm sure the wife he married has told him she doesn't want to see another woman's child in their home and the idiot is doing her bidding, forgetting he is a man and should put his foot down to say his child is staying. I hope this sounds a warning to ladies who carelessly get pregnant for men and the men are not interested in marrying them. These are the type of things that would eventually happen in future. |
Saraki bawo? The north do not see him as a core northerner and 2019 candidate must be core north. I'm thinking kwakwanso should be given the ticket. Obj has so much battered atiku's image and I'm not sure how he would be received down south. |
i didnt see your chat with her but if someone is flirting with your husband and you have warned her to stop and she refused to stop,i think you should report her to her hubby and not feel sorry for anything. if you are not careful, you wont know when you would become a single mom after losing your hubby to her. the fact that your hubby is encouraging her by not warning her to stop it,is a sign that he is interested in her. |
dancok:thank God for his life then. |
Okoyeeboz:i just went through your numerous posts and as suspected earlier on,you're just one of the unruly riff-raffs on nairaland who go about throwing insults around on every thread. people like you never amount to anything reasonable in the real world. no wonder you move from thread to thread insulting people and constituting a nuisance on cyber space. enjoy your your foolery for as much as you can. you're certainly not in the class of people i should give attention to. |
akpabio joining apc, cannot deliver akwa-ibom to apc. reason is that, there is a certain way that the people of the south-south view the current govt of buhari and it makes apc totally unattractive to a larger percentage of the people from the zone. akpabio in apc, would definitely not change that perception. maybe if someone else was at the helm of affairs, things would have been different. |
i'm not sure how i'd react to this as gentle as i am. i think some people just come into other people's lives,as agents of destruction. by the way,is there a way he can request another from his school and the law school? |
hmm. if only APC as a party knows what most people on the streets of Nigeria think about the party and the government, they'd stop all these unnecessary hot air they are blowing, and quickly look for ways to adjust and clean their badly battered image. the people who defected should be the least of their worries now but how to make buhari electable in 2019,would be their priority. i dare APC as a party to go on the streets of Nigeria to ask Nigerians what they think about the party and the government of the day. this would give them an insight as to what they should focus on. |
i can't sell any part of my body for any amount. |
Stupid dancer. Someone that knows he wants to be governor and couldn't plan ahead to perfect his results but had to wait to be publicly disgraced. The time he spent dancing all these years, could have been used in resitting for waec/gce as a special candidate. They would have given him his own hall with invigilators and people wouldn't have even known he was writing anything. With the funds at his disposal, he would have been able to pay people to keep his resitting, a secret. But no, he chose to go dancing like a fool up and down. Since they published that his useless result, I've not seen him dancing again. Maybe his legs are now paining him, only God knows. He should have respected himself and continued his time as a senator and none of these would have come out. I don't like people who are not smart and can't think ahead. |
