Romance › Re: I Find It Very Offensive When Men Cannot Chase Only Women They Can Afford by chronique(m): 12:56pm On Mar 02, 2017
Lunagirl:
The problem is not the money. The problem is the world view. That girl has made some point.

There is a level of women that you should not chase if you are not in the same financial strength with them. It's not because of money.

The truth is that you will not even be able to afford yourself with them. If she and her friends are going to Florida for the holidays, how do you want to follow them? Or going vacation somewhere? How do you hope to afford it?

Don't go around spending the little you have one someone that will not notice it. And later you will come to Nairaland to spill trash.
True. The girl would have made sense until she started using analogy of 3k gifts and 100k gifts. That's the point where she made it look like it's just all about the money. Most of these ladies talk a lot of thrash. If you're not the child of a very wealthy and influential person, don't go spewing thrash like this like you never tasted life as an average person. But most ladies who talk like this, are usually from very poor backgrounds.

Because that's what they all do. No one independently reviews music and write their own personal reviews. They all lift content from "first carrier" and paste it as news.

Car Talk › Re: RE: Why Nigerians Are Not Buying Innoson Cars (Misleading Post By AutoReportNG) by chronique(m):
I can't argue with the OP but there are some things that do not add up. A company that cannot produce enough for local consumption, is selling cars in Ghana(exporting)? Just the way Nigeria can't provide constant electricity for 180m people, but can supply electricity to Benin republic and they have almost 24hrs power supply? I guess this is a Nigerian problem. What is the population of Ghana? Can it be compared with Nigeria? Do you have an idea of the amount of cars that come into this country daily? Innoson can't even cater for 5% of the volume of sales; so what business do they have exporting to Ghana?

How many units of buses, cars, SUV, trucks, etc,do they roll out every year? If they can't meet demand, shouldn't that be seen as a good problem? Does the management not know about SWOT analysis? If they can't meet demand, shouldn't they begin to think of expansion? I could go on and on and on. But one thing is sure, as far as the business of vehicle manufacturing is concerned and the management of the business, they are not doing the right thing. Let someone like Dangote delve into that sector, and see what wonders he would perform.

Car Talk › Re: Why Nigerians Are Not Buying Innoson Cars by chronique(m): 7:51pm On Mar 01, 2017
I agree with the OP on the issue of showroom. When Gej signed that automotive industry bill and everyone started talking about Innoson, I quickly searched for their contact and reached out to them. I had a proposal for them and even discussed it with my partner. I was ready to go take a loan to have a branded showroom to display their cars but the attitude of the person who spoke to me, wasn't encouraging. After several attempts, I just perished the idea and focused on my tokunbo sales. I really do think their customer service and pr is poor. They're like a pretty lady looking for a spouse, but always hiding in the dark. No one sees them. We all just know that someone said there's a pretty lady in that corner of the street.

Car Talk › Re: Prevalence Of Wrong Auto Diagnostics In Nigeria by chronique(m): 7:39am On Mar 01, 2017
What was your reason for taking out the thermostat in the first place? I don't like anybody that likes to tamper with vehicle parts, and likes to remove parts that came with the vehicle. Every single item that comes with a car, has a very important function; stop tampering with vehicle parts. Next time, get your self and OBD2 car scanner and scan your car yourself. It would reveal error codes to you, and tell you what is wrong with your car. It's better than all these try and error system.

1982 far

If I show you the receipts of medical fee when I was admitted for typhoid in 1992 and my school fee when I entered JS 1 in 1995, you will cry for Nigeria

For people that care to know, the fees were 28 and 45 naira respectively
45 naira school fees in 95? Was it a public school?

Politics › Re: Owner Of 10 Gwagons Reacts To Whistleblower's Accusation (pics) by chronique(m): 8:52am On Feb 28, 2017
When I saw the initial thread, I pointed it out that this video was taken from a colleague's car lot at omole. I didn't even know it was going to spread round so quickly. The owner is well known to most of us in the automobile trading business. The length to which some people would go to discredit another, is surprising. What was the intention of the person who recorded the video? Maybe the lazy bastard was expecting 5% after whistle blowing. Lazy idiots who want to become rich without working hard. That's how some people would go and whistle blow and get their lives blown away. On a second thought, I wouldn't doubt the fact that it could also be a jealous competitor who orchestrated this. Negative news spreads so fast but when the correct thing comes out, most people are hardly interested in pushing it.

You spoke well. I'm tired of Nigerians.
TPAND:
What is amazing to me is people throw support this guy called Tinubu. It's a catastrophical disgrace to the young generation that a man with no moral values, a power-intoxicated mafia expresses his ambition to run as president of this great nation. A man who in a sane cline should be languishing in jail. For how long will the wrong set of cursed leaders continue to rule us. Democracy has failed us, we need a new system of government. Democracy is not working for us

It baffles me when people say Tinubu made lagos. For your education, Lagos has been the economic capital of Nigeria even before Tinubu. In the history of Nigeria, there has never been a state more relevant in national and economic affairs as Lagos. With all the IGR gets, it's mediocre achievement we celebrate. The things money can do. It's high time we need to wake up in this country and stop celebrating mediocrity. Compare Lagos to any prominent economic city of other countries in Africa, you will know we are far back.

Amazingly, some gullible NFAs who call themselves young people and leaders of tomorrow will chant and hull placards around the streets come 2019 in support of Tinubu. The same eejits that voted a man with an untraceable educational history as president in the 21st century. If there's any justice in the world, tell me in just mind, can it be well with Nigeria? Young people should wake up, our time is now. Enough of government by retirees.
Car Talk › Re: Moment Of Truth: Which Of These Throwback Cars Did Your Family Have? by chronique(m): 7:58am On Feb 28, 2017
We had all four including the Volvo 744DL and also had a Subaru. I learnt driving with C and at a time, D was the official car for taking the dogs to the vet cos it was always sitting idle at home. Anytime the dogs see you trying to drive it, they know it's time to visit the vet and they'd start running to hide under other cars...
