Nairaland General › NEA Hiring People For S$2,500 To Implement Social Distancing Measures by Chuky7(op): 12:27am On Apr 18, 2020 |
An applicant must primarily be able to convince people. Safe distancing ambassadors have been deployed by various government agencies to ensure people in public in Singapore don’t stand too close to one another. While their role is to guide and ensure implementation and compliance with safe distancing measures, they do not impose fines. And it is a role that the National Environment Agency (NEA) appears to be paying up to S$2,500 per month for hired hands. Job description According to couple a of job advertisements on fastjobs.sg andJobsbuddy.co, the vocation entails assisting NEA in "safe distancing measures" across 111 hawker centres throughout Singapore. The responsibilities of the job include, among other duties: Guiding patrons at hawker centres to sit on unmarked seats, Keeping a safe distance of 1 metre from each other when queuing, Encouraging them to opt for take-out or delivery options when seating is limited, and Getting patrons to return their trays. The working hours for the job are 8am to 5.30pm for the day shift, and 12pm to 9.30pm for the night shift, while a full day shift starts from 8am to 2pm and continues at 6pm to 9.30pm. All successful applicants must work the full day shift and in addition, choose either the day shift or the night shift. One posting further stated that the total number of work days are five, with the off days on Monday, and either Wednesday or Thursday. Must be able to convince people With regard to requirements, the job advertisements have listed the following: A minimum education requirement of a diploma/higher NITEC, Fluency in English and one's own mother tongue, with dialect being a bonus, Being "passionate, warm, outgoing" and charismatic with the "ability to persuade others to change their mindset and/or behaviour," Able to work in a hawker centre environment, and Being able to start from Mar. 26 onwards. Having past sales and customer experience has also been listed as an advantage. Mothership has reached out to NEA for more information. Cannot impose fines, Other penalties in place While these ambassadors are unable to impose fines, it's important to note that there are still penalties in place for not adhering to social distancing measures at hawker centres. Should individuals not sit on a seat that has been marked out as not to be occupied, or queue less than 1 metre away from another person in the queue, they will be guilty of an offence and can be fined up to S$10,000 or jailed up to six months or both. These penalties also apply to owners of public places and organisers of events should public safety measures not be adhered to. https://mothership.sg/2020/03/social-distancing-ambassador-nea/ |

Everyone has their stories to tell,am content with what i have so dear its not a must u die because of a man.
quote author=HeavenlyCherub post=88279844]
Honestly I think you have good points in your paragraphs. I agree that as women we shouldn’t single out every man who isn’t walking in their purpose at that given time. However I would never advise anyone to settle.
Some of the financially challenged/student men who come to the US, a very large percentage have taken advantage of good women all in the name of love. I can only use myself as an example. I have dated guys who weren’t stable financially so I can only try help my fellow sisters.
Man 1: Yoruba guy - I dated him for 5 years. Great guy however refused to self improve. He did yahoo. I found out about it and tried to make him stop and do legit as I wouldn’t want our foundation built on potential blood money. He refused a legit job and informed me he knew “the life he wanted for himself and 9 to 5 was not it.” This is because he was consumed by lifestyle and driving range rovers and a Porsche’s. I stuck with him for love but I refused to marry him or his proposal as he didn’t believe in taking care of a woman. He was very selfish (during the course of a 5 year relationship this man never gave me any assistance for upkeep - mind you I didn’t need his money as I do very well for myself but every woman wants their man to be able to support and provide in small ways. This shows me you’re stable and can support our family should we hit hard times. He would always ask me why I need money and what I do with the money I earn. $10 to buy a panty he could not even do, but he stayed embellished in Gucci, LV and Prada. He also had a baby on me and begged me to raise the child with him if it was his after dna...I was scared toput myself in that position as a time when I have to depend on him will come and he would not man up as he should so I broke it off. He proposed I said no. . No way I can submit to a man like that?..
Man 2: was an international student, the devil himself in human form, they say respect them, support them and let them reach goals.. this guy I supported financially for months, paved a way for him to get his paperwork.. loved and supported. He was nice at first but when we started dating he started changing. Abusing me for not giving 5k usd and not wanting to marry him for green card... I thank God for protecting me from that one chance. He is the biggest regret and bad mistake I ever made in my life. So disheartening you support someone and they physically, verbally abuse you and blame you for the wrong going on in their life... read my story on my profile from 2 years ago for more context Note: I myself am not perfect and I’m constantly working on self improving and strengthening my bond with Christ. I’m big on giving advice to others so they won’t repeat the same mistakes I have made.
My aunt always told me never to date down. Never settle and I did. All the women waiting...wait for Gods time don’t force or rush things because you want to get married. You will end up with someone who puts baggage on you and breaks you emotionally, physically, financially etc. Let Go and Let God. If it’s his will for your life it will be. Don’t leave worse off then you started.
I also have a friend she married someone coming straight from naija. They lived as man and wife 3 years. He got his green card and went back to Nigeria to marry his real girlfriend.
I truly dislike when men put down women like this post. Marriage is not an accomplishment. It will be nice to find a compatible companion but sister- you are enough as you are. Don’t let anyone rush you. Some are happy but many more want to get out of the marriage you are rushing to. Be wise and Let God lead.
Pray for God to give you discernment. Marriage is life and that’s a long journey. Don’t end up with the wrong person because of societal pressure and advice from OP above. I have said my own lol...CIA for real?? How did you loose the interview? |

Health › Re: How I Found Out I Was HIV Positive!!! by Chuky7(m): 10:22pm On Apr 16, 2020 |
OutharryHIV: I "accidentally" found out I had HIV in 2015... Worst year of my life.. I know you might be thinking that I'm a promiscuous person but I assure you, I'm very far from that... So this is how it all started?
I did my NYSC in my dad's company and finished in late 2014 and I was given a full year to go read a course I didn't even want. So I instead volunteered for Youth In Action Against HIV and poverty in Tanzania. My dad was furious but my mum understood.
It was 6months filled with lessons, tears, experience and a firsthand witness to the sufferings of others... We tended to the poorest of the poor in rural Tanzania.
I later came down to Borno and later North bank area of Benue state, I realized there were a lot of vulnerable people that are hungry and can't afford even cheap medical care thus they die of common malaria.
I didnt stay long in Borno before I started having this feeling of fatigue and blurry vision, I thought it was cuz of the stress that comes with what I do, so I decided to go home. Few days after getting home I started feeling this head splitting headache, I thought it was malaria/typhoid of which a lab test later confirmed.. Out of curiosity, I told the doctor to run a full check up.. Just to be on a safe side.. Which he did..
You should imagine my surprise when he told me I was HIV positive.. Nothing has ever prepared me for that moment.. It was funny how a malaria treatment could turn to an HIV nightmare.. I thought of just ending my life right then.
But i braced myself and took the drugs, I was surprised that it was free in Nigeria sef.
I rushed home and took my girlfriend to run the test and it turned out that she has it too... We've been taking the drugs for the past 5years now with an high Cd4 count and a low viral load.. The virus is not detectable in our blood stream anymore and we are happily married and our first twin boys are negative.
If you're out there and you've been in my shoes.. Its not the end of your life.. Life just happens and its not entirely your fault.
I don't smoke, drink or live a reckless life or sleep around, like I've been in only one relationship all my life, so its not about your lifestyle. I don't know if I got it from the idp camps or my girlfriend(she was the only person I was with at that time), we just didn't care, we moved on.
So lovelies, Take your ARV drugs, take fruits, eat well, within 3-6 months you can still have unprotected sex throughout your life with your partner without infecting them or your children.. You can live your life to the fullest and more.
P.s: HIV patients do not look skinny and dried up.. That's just an archaic stereotype... It is also not a death sentence. Two questions...why didn't you use PEP the hiv drug?. how much did you spend in all |

DonMustafa: Please understand what Lai muhammed is saying. He said no Chinese doctors tested positive to Covid-19. This is because those people who came in are not doctors. They are 5G installation engineers.
Think about it. How can 14 doctors come into a country but did not report at any hospital for duty. They went to a construction company CCECC. Truth is that they are not doctors. They are 5G installation engineers. You relax...stop this rubbish talk |
