paulGrundy: am not sure it is. just as exam malpractice is prevalent in secondary schools. so it is also prevalent in banking. many of my colleagues do it. its like an open secret. management implicitly indirectly encourages it because it helps them meet their liquidity drive.
one of my line managers used to say this:
bring any type of money to the bank from any source, we will accept it, but do it smartly and don't allow the regulatory authorities catch you, or we deny you!
To let you know how prevalent it is in banking, a colleague of mine was implicated in a fraud scheme busted by the FBI all the way from USA that made headlines last year. her crime was that she did not do due diligence when opening the fraudsters account. the bank hired the best lawyers and fought her case, indirectly protecting the interest of the fraudster. after the whole ordeal she was promoted instantly to a branch manager. DAMN shvt just got real...A friend of mine, works in Ghana now told me about something of this nature banks have always had the interest of the work at heart over morals. checkout international banks like hsbc n others same practices. |

paulGrundy: a fraudstar once approached me with a deak to help him open an account and manipulate the system for him in order to evade surveillance of monitoring agencies e.g EFCC. I would gain about 5 million for every 50 million he wired successful plus I would hit and surpass my target. It was very tempting as an ET fighting hard to be promoted to an ABO, but my conscience would not let me. after having sleepless night, I called him and politely turned down the offer. seriously... you work in a bank? |

Education › Does A Masters Degree Guarantee Jobs? by Chuky7(op): 6:34am On May 04, 2020 |
Since growing up I have always been accustomed to the idea of double up my degree. Not like it's a bad thing but what purpose does it serve to run a Masters or PhD program in the long run.
My Dad is always telling me to do one program here and there. It gets tiring honestly as I don't consider myself an academic per se and I would only put in effort when I see something is absolutely necessary.
A cousin of mine once went to the UK for her masters, previously working at a brewery. She told me that going for this program would guarantee her an upgrade in department level
Has anyone here gotten any similar experiences, share your story or those you know of. Were you ever selected for a job based on that or a promotion?

Liliantalks: lol he might not be short in the department sha
I hv learnt a big lesson from life , let me share with you , when I was younger i had a lot of guys coming my way , but back then I was so ignorant on what I should look for in a man , now I am older I regret some guys I let go, guys I felt we’re too short , talks too much , swaggerless , aggressive , smoker , etc . Guys i liked were hoes , I dated some but i was little or no value to them , I was there till they met another. Funny enough all the guys I wrote off r in a relationship n doing very well in their relationships ,loving there women silly , well some remain idiots lol
look for efforts , money, care and attention, that’s what really matters. Get a list of what u want in a man , and check if this guy meets 75% of it , if he does , accept him. He can still turn out to be a fool after sex o, I can’t give u any assurance, men r wicked . But that’s a step to the right direction. You seem to have had a long list of criteria for men when young...swag. tall. muscular. funny. swag again. |
Romance › Re: Why Are Girls From Rich Homes More Appreciative? by Chuky7(m): 7:50pm On May 03, 2020 |
tommyken: Since I entered the dating world I have been in relationship with girls from both rich homes and poor homes and I have observe something that intrigue me not only in my relationship both also those of my friends. The ladies I have dated from rich home tend to be very grateful when you get them even a little gift or help them with a little favour. They tends to appreciate such favour with a very sincere heart and are very grateful to you.
Now this seems the opposite with girls from poor or simply lower income homes, I observe that girls from such poor and average home tend to be very entilted, selfish, insatiable and very ungrateful when you do things for them and they are the first to dump you when you begin to experience financial difficulties.
If you have come across this observation feel free to say your opinion and discuss the reason why its so. As for me, with what I have gone through in the hands of girls from poor home I have decided to marry a lady from a rich or at least a high income well to do home. It's all about manners bro...upbringing makes them more appreciative unlike the other that feel she is entitled to things. Also mindset does play a role...mindset of rich and poor. |

I don't watch them though, except when it comes highly recommended...never really had any interest in Asian movies/series.
I had to see the Korean movie Parasite just because of the Oscars it won at the last Academy Awards. I needed to understand why/how that happened. Me too... Barrytone: A bottle of beer is average of 500 naira, 1000 bottles of 750 bottles of beer, how long do you think we can finish it. I don't drink spirits, I don't eat much except dog meat with plantain. I don't pay hoes because I have them that pretends to love me. The write up never mentioned drunk but label heavy drinkers as poor. So far so good, have always been in charge. Know your self and stick to what is good for you and not what the society prescribe as good. I still regret cutting a cake during my wedding as I still don't understand what it means. I drink and everybody knows that I do drink. I don't have to be drunk. The moment I start getting drunk then I will stop. Drunkenness is bad, drinking is good. Mark the difference. FACT... I hate when people demonize drinking...it's only when u drunk it becomes a problem please |

JustforMen: *They will not include dating perpetually, poverty infested Nigerian girls from poor families - with shameless entitlement mentality -who project the insatiable leeching of their broke families to young men.* I am talking the type of girls who believe a simple ‘hello’ from a young man is an automatic right to begin to request, demand, solicit and covet money and resources! Girls for whom the possession of a stank pussy is a substitute for sense and virtue! This my friends, is a major cause of poverty and impoverishment! You calm down... Don't always be bringing women down at every point... |

Barrytone: I drink a lot, I cant drink alone, I buy for everybody I meet. I drank from my secondary school through university to unemployed era of so many years and continued drinking till date. I am married now but used to Bleep multiple ladies. Still indulge rill date. In all, I consider myself "rich". And am gunning for a billion naira then I retire to my playboys mansion and live happily ever after. Secret of success is drawing a workable plan and sticking to it. I drafted a 20 years plan and I keep surpassing my yearly target before may each year. Despite corona, I have hit my target since march. So no matter what I drink and Bleep for the year is not affecting me adversely. I am unique, I follow my path knowing fully well that what works for A might not work for B. Man know thyself and live a happy life. Nothing is absolutely bad for the body and nothing is absolutely good for the body, know your body chemistry and give it what it deserves, stop copying the multitude. Seek your path and stick to it. I love this sh*t, right here... Sir you need a medal of honour...take salute |
