kpakpakpa: Thanks for the heads up sir. It seems you are well informed about such conditions, the options you supported are far beyond my reach.
I think my only escape route is to remove a nerve that can silence everything in my head. I can't explain the noise level in my head right now cos one may not believe it. Cutting/removing the nerve(Neurectomy) is not that simple. The Auditory nerve, in combination with the Vestibular nerve(that maintains balance/equilibrium) makes up the 8th cranial nerve which runs just beneath the brain within the cranial cavity and as well as within the cranial bone. Surgical operations to have access to and section it is a major one and will be expensive too. The money could be better used to procure a good hearing device or saved for a cochlear implant. Again, damage to the nerve would make any future implant use impossible. I doubt if any doctor would encourage that. |

seun nlfpmod mynd44 The problems you're experiencing(Tinnitus, Hyperacusis--hypersensitivity to sounds, Hearing loss) are all symptoms of drug-induced hearing loss. In reality, drug-induced hearing loss is usually very challenging to treat and almost always permanent. The treatment advice the ENT specialists discussed with you are unfortunately your only options. These includes use of Amplification devices, Assistive listening devices, and most importantly Cochlear implantation. These will cost you a lot of money and some travels. I believe your focus should be on how to raise money to be able to go for any of these, especially cochlear implant. The Betahistine you've have been taken may address vertigo, if any, but won't reverse the hearing deficit, as your cochlear is already damage. Hearing devices and cochlear implants are the only available options you should work on. |

Embarassing comments were passed and all attention was directed at us and for what? for the wrong reasons\. No matter how much food would go to waste, you shouldn't take more than was assigned to you. Could have have possibly finished all the food because he didnt want any of it to waste?
This article further exposes some of the reasons we are not respected internationally and one of them is lack of respect for ourselves and lack of value.
When we were younger, our parents often forbade such behaviors when we visited our friends or neighbours, why? so as not to embarass them by making people feel they don't feed us enough.
We should take out the key learning from the article are bahave better in public. Don't mind the guy talking about how the food would have wasted. Nigerians always have a way of supporting every rubbish they see/hear about. And that's the reason such things keep repeating. |

FreeStuffsNG: In this game, we must be real, practical and deliberate with our choices. We must stick to the facts and consolidate our bases with the strongest possible instruments of power. It is very necessary for our future political success.
APC will be naive to give Senate Presidency to SS or SE. It is either NW or NC.
If the SE or SS want it they should have worked very hard for it during the Presidential elections. Politics is different from governance. Politics is about winning elections but governance is about service delivery. You need to win elections first before you get mandate to serve and deliver service.
NW gave the highest votes while NC gave 4 out of 6 states to Asiwaju. Rewarding NW or NC with Senate Presidency is a big statement that loyalty pays. You do not empower those who are not loyal to you and your party .
PMB learnt a bitter lesson with Emefiele who is a PDP guy and almost singlehandedly made APC lose the Presidential election. check my signature for free stuffs! Politics › Re: My Worst Mistake by ChybuzzDD(m): 5:15pm On Apr 23, 2023 |
desmond2pk: Last year, I started making plans to own a property in lagos after I have saved up to about twenty million Naira in Lagos. What triggered my plan to get a property with my hard earned or hard saved money was a robbery incident that happened to me and my family when we went out to a Bukka Eatery shop at Bode Thomas Junction surulere. Some guys came in with guns and collected our phones , within some minutes, they cleared some little funds in my Access bank and my wife's access bank. I was lucky they couldn't clear my GTB which had huge funds. After that incident, I released that funds, lodged in bank accounts do not belong to you 100%, anything can happened and it can be wiped out in a minute. I decided to look for a property with the little funds I have saved . It was hard to get but finally I got an half plot of land at ilaje Bariga area of lagos.. The area is a water area so the land is soft and damp. So I would need to do a lot of works in filling the place, doing piling and raft before putting up structure . As of today, I have spent nearly 30 million, both the cost of the land and the works I have done there which are filling the place, piling and raft that is going on now. With the current political situation in the country I have regretted my action. I am from Imo State , married to a yoruba woman and we have four kids. My inlaws are wonderful people and , If I would come back to life again I would marry from the yorubas. No igbo man who got married to a yoruba woman would tell you any negative thing about them. They are wonderful people. Whoever witnessed the Lagos gubernatorial election of this year would tell you that Nigeria is pregnant and the outcome will be bad for the Igbos , especially those who reside in Lagos. Since that election, I have contemplated selling the land but if I sold it like it is, I will lose close to Ten to fifteen million Naira. The works I have done and rhe paperwork I have done will go in vain . This is the worst mistake I have made in life. I don't know if I should continue or if I should stop. The best thing is to stop but I can't because I have committed a lot of money. I have denied myself abd my family a lot of good things just to see to it that I continued building the house. And for one to two years, I will put all my profits into that house. My family will be denied a lot of holidays and material things within this two years to enable me complete the house. The greedy politicians have destroyed this country. They go to Europe and America to buy properties for themselves and their children. Just this week, we stated seeing writeups online how Lagos state government and land owners are planning to make things hard for Igbo people who own properties in lagos. I don't know what they would do to us and my children. Are they going to confiscate our properties or tax us more ? Daily I think about this mistake and it makes me sad. So, you're just realizing for the first time that Nigeria is a heavily divided country and that buying/building properties in any region other than yours is pure foolishness?? Your parents failed some of you woefully in their upbringing roles, and that's very unfortunate. I was first schooled about Nigeria far before i started primary school at the age of 6 in 1988. |

Meaning: All I had was #250k , and since we were all brought up as Christians to believe in the healing power of Jesus, I said to myself , I've been studying the Bible since all these days and I've tried as much as possible to avoid intentional sins, I'm sure His would heal me because I am a chosen generation, a peculiar person , called forth to show his glory. I downloaded almost all the healing messages in this world, from Oral Roberts to Smith Wigglesworth, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland, Bishop David Oyedepo, Daddy Adeboye, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome,Apst. Joshua Selman.
and I fasted for good four months straight with vigils every night, 4hours prayer during the day and 30mins praise everyday. for a whole day I kept giving thanks, and during the time that I was not praying, I was listening to those sermons I withdrew all my savings, sold every tangible thing that I had, tied the sickness with it and I sowed them all together as a seed into a church. I was really desperate to live, I'm the only one my mom has, If I died today , it would be a waste bringing me into this world to begin with. She went thru a lot to have me, I heard she spent days on mountains of prayers before I was born.
After my rigorous spiritual exercise. A week after, I went back to the hospital. By now I was sure that I had been healed, so I just went there to shame the devil but to my disappointment. The situation had already worsen . I had already lost my job and I've sowed all my savings, feeding was extremely difficult. I am one person who really don't know how to beg, since I was young whenever I begged my dad for anything , he would always say "No". That made me realise that begging for anything in life is a "no", "no". Bros as I type this, I swr to whoever the God out there is, I ate grass, I went thru hell, those of you who have garri to drink do not even know that you are special. For one week on a roll I was desperately hoping to see #100 to buy garri and "kulikuli" but it never came.
Finally I was mobilised for service last year after 4months of first hand and class hardship. I was happy because I'd be able to send something to my mom again. Okay, so, I had the intention of going back to Tech, which obviously I'm way behind putting my age into consideration. Now here is the issue, on the 25th of December , I started feeling an excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. The pain was so intense, and since all corps member have access to HMO, I decided to visit the HMO to know what's up. Well long story short, my time is up. I have just 6-18months to live. Well, that's not the problem, to be real, I'm sincerely tired, I think I've tried my best. The problem is my mom was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure last month, she collapsed while in church and she was rushed to the hospital by members. She has been about hospital twice this month. That woman doesn't deserve that kinna end, I need to put her in the right path of life before I leave. The problem is I do not have much time in my hands, I must dedicate at least 1year to tech before I can start making any money from it, there is no assurance of any good paying job after NYSC that can fetch me the amount of money she needs for a good life after my demise. So I need something that can fetch me reasonable amount of money in I sincerely sympathise with your situation. What exactly is the nature of this illness? I mean the diagnosis? Would you mind telling us? |

buygala: The hike in price of toks cars has led to a correspondent hike in price of its alternative, Nigerian used Vehicles. This is because there is now more demand for Nigerian used Vehicles, since toks vehicle is out of most people's grasp.. The current reality is that Clean Nigerian used is the new Toks.. If you like buy, if you like, no buy.
Also maintenance costs have also gone up...Car parts dealers do not care if the car whose parts you wanna replace is toks or Nigerian used.. So if someone is maintaining his car at current car part rates, why will he sell the car at old rates?.. A 4litre can of Mobil 20W50 cost 4500 as recently as 3 years ago.. Now it's more than 10k...So if a car owner serviced his car with mobil of 10k, he should sell it as if he was buying the oil at 4500?
Yes my theory still applies.. If you have a car you bought pre-2018, feel free to sell it at pre-2018 price, as a Father Christmas that you are.. Only then will you realize how much you have jonzed when you realize you sold the car for less or a little more than the present cost of its toks or packaged Nigerian used engine and gearbox.. Criticising people's actions is easy until you try to do the action you criticise..
Show the "greedy car dealers" how to fairly sell their cars by posting your own here at Alubarika prices...Talk is cheap, walking the talking is what is expensive. The summary of all you wrote here is that buying a personal car is an investment, and every penny spent on it has to be recouped. That's very wrong. The spareparts you buy don't stop the value of the car from depreciating. Spare parts do not increase the value of the car, but only maintain it closer to the original value it was when newly bought. It's greed to add all the expenses one spent on spareparts to the resale cost of a car. But as a seller, as is common with most Nigerians, it'll be very very difficult for you to see the truth from your position. |
