TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by clapper04: 5:29pm On Dec 03, 2018
Good evening house, please did anyone certify his/her document in Oyo state? I was at the state high court today and they demanded 2k to certify a document. I just want to ask if anyone got his/her doc certified at a lesser price so i don't get swindled.

Thanks

Please i enjoin those experiencing this Visa refusal error from the embassy to relax and put their trust in God. It shall end in praise, in sha Allah.

It happened to a lady here last week or so and she wasn't even given a white paper, they just told her she would get a feedback in three days. she was initially refused and after a week, her status changed to issued.

Be calm please.

2nd post.

Dazed, disappointed and scared! I couldn't even process my feelings. Couldn't go back to work, so i went straight home. The interview went very well. The decision to deny was just weird.

Got home. Headed for the shower...spent like half an hour there and all i just wanted to do was recap all that could have gone wrong. Then the VO last words came back. "I'd advice you go through our website to know more about the student visa procedures." Like that's a subtle way of saying " oga olodo, as old as you are, you did not do your due diligence!". Then i figured out what happened.

I filled a new DS-160 form and i didnt give it time to be updated to my profile. Called the customer service number and explained what happened. I was told that I should have allowed at least two working days after filling the DS 160 form before attending my interview. I was told that the CGI officer that asked me to go back and fill the form ought to have advised me to reschedule my appointment. My first reaction? Holy shiit! 57,600 naira rightly spent. Jesus Christ!

Ran out, grabbed my phone and mailed 100kobo. Oga didn't reply on time. I had to come here on the thread to ask him to check his mail. He did and responded after some hours. He was very disappointed to say the least. He encouraged me to 'refire' as he was sure i would be approved. The feeling that i was delayed because of a technical issue (which could have been avoided) gave me joy.

It was around past 3pm already. So i went to the nearest GTBank. Paid the 59,200 amd went home with the determination that i would be approved whenever I faced the next VO. Lol.

Past 6pm now. Decided to take a nap o. Nap turned to deep sleep. Woke up around 11pm. Tried booking an appointment but i couldn't. Slept again, woke up arond 12:25 am on the 22nd. Refreshed the page and i could finally book. Checked for Lagos. Nearest date was January 15. Wahala haff come. Checked Abuja and saw November 27...1 slot! The speed I used to apply ehn. I confirmed the appointment and my mind was at peace.

Reached out to 100kobo cos i felt i needed to work on convincing the VO earlier in the interview. I needed to control the interview. Oga replied and said i shouldn't. He said i would sound desperate. Hmmn. I took his advice and just stuck to my normal plan. God's willing, I would get my approval but I needed to be calm. With all the bad news on NL, i just kept saying, "even if they don't find everyone eligible for a visa in abuja on the 27th, i would walk out with my approval!"

And God heard my prayers...
Congratulations again bro! Inspiring story!

Sir, i don't think the 2 months rule is correct. I was denied in Lagos on the 21st. I paid that same day and i was able to see available dates around midnight the 22nd.

The earliest date for the Lagos Consulate was January 15. I checked for Abuja and got November 27th. Infact it was the last slot.
Oh great!. Got it now

Turkey is a big Country in terms of land Mass not as big as Nigeria though but it us huge in comparism to neighboring countries(about 700,000 sqr km). It's diverse in culture, language, religion and even geographical local (part is located in Asia and the other part in Europe).
In Turkey you have the Turks, kurds, minority Arabs, amanians .
I visited 3 cities during my stay Antayka , Gaziantep and Istanbul.
Really fascinated by this thread and i gave it a follow. Nice one sir. Did you go from Germany?

I think you should send your documents as a post to the school. I don't think you have to apply via mail. Sent them my application last month.

Applicants have the option of submitting their applications via e-mail, too. i hope you are aware?

But I think is the original certificates coz I will send my certified documents via post.
If I send my certified documents via post, no need to upload them again.
They need will use the original to vet the certified documents.....

Just my opinion thou
I copied this from uni-assist website.

"Use your online account to upload all documents that do not require an official certification. These are usually other documents such as proofs of internships, CV, letters of motivation and letters of recommendation as well as a copy of your passport."

You are required to send documents that need certification i.e school cert, test score and all by post.

you can go through their site to ascertain this.

[quote author=waledora post=72871800]Nope, but you see virtually every German application duration is either one or two months(maybe summer) . So you should check their site from Nov 15 - Nov 20 if application is on, otherwise December it is.

[quote author=lexdino post=72728374]IMO you have to get a sworn affidavit explaining the mistake in your WAEC certificate and attach it to the certified WAEC copy to be sent to uniassist. Let's hear from the gurus tho.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by clapper04: 3:53pm On Nov 05, 2018
I think it has to be certified in a high court or German embassy.

lexdino:
Guys please help me out here. Uni-assist asked for a certified copy of my University Entrance Certificate to be mailed along with my signed application letter to their address in Germany.
Today, I went to WAEC office here in Benin city to get a certified copy of my WAEC certificate but the WAEC officials I met were telling me that WAEC doesn't certify copies of their issued certificates. They said waec can only send a transcript of my result directly to the university that I am applying to.

I am a bit confused now. I thought the meaning of the "certified copy" that uni-assist demands was a photocopy of my original WAEC certificate that has been verified by WAEC to be in synch with the original copy
