You are the foolish one. Serving God and pastor because of material gains. When would that time come when men will worship God in spirit and in truth? You all worship God because of earthly blessings and the fear of hell.
Spirit and in truth and also living in poverty right ? David was not poor Solomon was damn rich , Paul was a lawyer , Peter was a fisherman with one of the finest boats you could ever think ...... God wants us Christians to be envied because of his grace upon our lifes our business our family... God wants the best for us... So if I am florishing it is normal..

You think it is the pastor that prayed for you?

Did you or did you not pray for yourself?

You people should stop all this. Pastors don't have two heads. You prayed, God answered. Simple.

Pastor never pray for himself finish.

Anyway sha...
I shake my head for you. Then there should be no pastor no church no spiritual leader.... every body is pastor of his or her own.... just live your life and move on.... it does not work that way..... it is selfishNess that is affecting you.. A pastor does not only pray for us he advises us, he encourages us and cares. So is it bad for me to appreciate my pastor who was there for me in times of trouble with a jeep or what so ever..... you as a person I believe you have touched one or two people's life.... will it be out of place for those people to come back later and bless you what so ever way ? if you can answer this question i will be grateful.

So, your pastor's offering can buy them?

Calm down and listen to me. Stop glorifying a man like you. Other people contributed to those bags and you want to give all the credits to your pastor. If he is so generous, why didn't he ask that the jet be sold and the money given to the poor.

Would Jesus or any of the Apostles or Early Church leaders have accepted such an expensive gift when billions are suffering all over the world? You want us to see the good works of your pastor as if only his money went into it. I am even sure that he didn't even contribute one kobo to the purchase of those bags.
I have quietly read through your comments all I can see is a man blinded by his foolishness.s .... A man of God prays for me to win a contract I won the contract will it be bad if I buy him a range rover ? this men of God have touched lives..... All you people talk about is tithe..how many people pay their tithe..... God bless this churches in numerous ways... I know you will he happy to hear that pastor ibiyiome is homeless and hungry that will show he is a real pastor.... how dumb you are...... get a life

SportsRe: Nigeria Is The First African Country To Qualify For FIFA 2018 World Cup Russia by clemmonce(m): 7:47pm On Oct 07, 2017
engineerboat:
Nigeria have become the first African side to book their place at 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ after a 1-0 win over Zambia in Uyo earned them an unassailable lead at the head of Group B.

Alex Iwobi repeated his feat of being the thorn in the Zambians' side, once again finding himself on the scoresheet against the Chipolopolo. Having scored in the first Group B game between the sides, he came off the bench in the second half to end Zambian hopes of creating a final day climax on 6 November, instead seeing the Super Eagles book a spot at their sixth finals.

Seen by many as the toughest group of the continent’s five qualifying tables, Nigeria have been dominant, remaining unbeaten throughout and only dropping points thanks to a Cameroonian penalty on the road in Yaounde. The 4-0 win a few days earlier against the reigning African champions was a particular highlight.

With a rich youthful streak through the side, seeing the likes of Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Moses Simon score crucial goals throughout qualifying, there will be something of a fresh feel to the side who have only missed one tournament – Germany 2006 – since their debut in 1994.

Led by the seasoned John Obi Mikel, who made his belated World Cup debut at Brazil 2014, they will hoping to better their Round of 16 exit from three years ago – the furthest stage they have reached, having also done so in their first two appearances.

TV/MoviesRe: Nigeria Grants Tax Reliefs To TSTV Africa by clemmonce(m): 5:11pm On Oct 02, 2017
Chartey:
Nollywood producers will still prefer to give Africa Magic their new movies because DSTV pays them better.

DSTV has poured millions of dollars in into the Nigerian Professional Football League without any profit yet the govt did not give them any tax relief. I see this development making the NFF very uncomfortable.

TV stations like Soundcity and Hip TV will still prefer the DSTV platform because they pay them better. Besides DSTV is partly responsible for the acceptance of Nigerian music across Africa.

Many people are addicted to the shows Telemundo and Zee World which TSTV does not have. Not everybody watches sport. That was the same assumption that killed HiTv.

I don't see DSTV collapsing. They're in so many countries although Nigeria is their second most important market. They have over 200 channels with something for everybody.

People don't know that subscription is actually cheaper in Nigeria than for instance Ghana. Cable TV is a luxury everywhere in the world. Sky is expensive in the UK too.

This competition will be good for the Nigerian consumer and is welcome but people please let's not get our hopes too high. TSTV has to earn credibility and our support.
is there anything wrong with being on Tstv and Dstv ? appreciate good news

PhonesRe: How To Identify An Original Power Bank by clemmonce(m): 8:29pm On Sep 26, 2017
mayorkun:
Having a powerbank is very useful and good but problem may arise when you buy or have a fake one which can cause hazard to your phone by damaging it or the battery or even catch fire and in the process destroy your phone or tablet.

So today i will help you in identifying the original and fake power Bank especially here in Nigeria where we have so many fake power banks and also give you the best power Bank to buy right here in Nigeria.

How To Identify a fake Powerbank

The first and foremost in identifying a fake power Bank is if the powerbank has a brand name. When buying a powerbank, check if it has a brand name cause many powerbanks especially those sold here in Nigeria doesn't have a brand name instead what will be written on it will be POWER BANK. When you such one don't buy it's a fake power Bank and might damage your phone. Fake powerbank comes with a fake capacity like for example you see a powerbank written 50000mAh but charges a phone or tablet battery of 2500mAh just once or twice. Such Power Bank is confirmed fake one and if you continue using it, know that on the long run it will damage your phone or tablet. Most fake power Banks especially the ones sold here usually have a very high capacity written on it like for example a power Bank capacity being 50000Mah,100000mAh or even 30000mAh. Most of them are fake though some might be original but as long as it's here in Nigeria, it's confirmed fake don't buy.
How To Identify An Original powerbank

1. Original power Bank comes with a brand name.
2. It doesn't have exergerated high capacity like 30000mAh,50000mAh,100000mAh etc. 3. The charging capacity tallies with what it is written on it depending on your battery capacity too

The Pathetic Story Of A Brilliant UNICAL Student Turned Drug addict

The sad story of a once brilliant student of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) with a promising future who dwindled into drug addiction has emerged on social media.

Popularly known as ‘Prof’, the talented rapper and singer’s story was shared by his friend and school mate, Comr. Ogar Emmanuel Oko, the Secretary of Young Progressive Party (YPP) Cross River State Chapter. He wrote:

A MALABITE: SHRUNKEN BY CALIFORNIA CORN FLAKES

“Prof. as he’s fondly called was a brainy student who was full of life with the sparkling of youthful agility. He swam across the boisterous and tempestuous Oron River without the fear of its deluge to acquire higher education in the famous University of Calabar (UNICAL)— all in the quest of becoming an illustrious son of his family and the immediate society.

“Sadly, his dreams and the expectations of his people now wallows in the miry clay of psychosomatic oddness. Prof. and most of us were in UNICAL. We were residents of Malabo Republik (c). I was staying in room 201 in Hall 5 that equally housed him. He was in the stock of the core Malabo boys whose aksions (actions) weren’t overlooked though not always reasonable as the slogan were and is, as it stance.

“Real Malabites and Malabresses (those living in Malabo and female hostels) knew him. His adopted name, Prof. rang like church-bell. In the domain of campus entertainment, he was there to rap like Tupac. When the likes of Agba Enjoyment; Last Prophet (Otuetue of Hit FM) and Professor Aboki of CRBC were learning the trade of comic, he wasn’t left out. In sports, he was the star-boy in the game of football normally played in Malabo Square.

“As popular as he was then, his daily and dependable companion never deserted him for second. It was a solid marriage devoid of matrimonial mangles. He was in a nuptial ecstasy with Indian hemp. And the fruit of the union is apparent today.

“First, he began absconding from lectures. Gradually, he didn’t know what he was studying anymore. Today, he may be seen receiving lecture with those studying Environmental Education. Another day, he could find his ways to Geography and Regional Planning class. That was how he continued till the bridge couldn’t hold the water anymore. As times went on, he was ejected from his hostel space (bed corner) and new occupant allotted to the space. With no space to squat or hangout; he had to move to the hostel’s pew as he roamed without shelter.

“From time to time, loved ones would come to show some affections and often take him home. Not too long, he’s back; but worse than the last time seen. At this stage, he was then qualified to join the other dudes at the pentagon in Hall 6 and the annex at the overhead concrete roof of Hall 5 to smoke marijuana and draw in Bolivian marching powder. And when he would’ve been back from the pentagon for those around then; him at that moment become “high” as commonly used in local parlance. And afterward, he hit the street in a big way as other mad guys did. At the moment, his life is a fairytale and pathetically tragicomic.

“Nowadays, he can’t sing, rap or play soccer as he used to in yesteryears. Methinks this isn’t spirituality as some folks rumored then. It’s the residue of drugs abuse. In a nutshell, Prof. is however, psychologically divergent now. Like Solomon Grundy the fictional comic character in James Orchard Halliwell 1842 lyrics that ended his life in a week; I pray this isn’t the end of Prof.

“The error of one man should be a guidepost for another. I chose to share the tale of this Malabite so that you may learn your lesson. In our day, the society is totally immersed and dazed by the havoc of illicit drugs consumption by the youths. The other day, a young man in his prime was shouting and undressing himself; and the passersby yelled from the corner: “no mind that guy, nah igbo de cause am”. If I may concur, that was the resultant effect of drugs. He got himself intoxicated beyond proportion.

“Be careful of your drugs consumption. Life is beautiful as LG would advertise. From the pictures inset, even at his lunatic state, you could gladly see the savvy and swagger of Prof that he’s still stylish with that inner knack for fashion. His long-sleeve is tucked with his face-cap to complement the trousers’ colour. That’s to tell you that he’s up to date. Take a look at his mustache; sideburns and the goggles in his pocket. Can you beat that? That’s the trendy fashion most city boys wears nowadays. A cursory look at the inset, you could see him in red rapping to the excitement of his fans.

“Most of us reading this piece must have had some experiences either personally or witnessed similar narrations before. We must collectively wage war against illegal drugs. The score of youths sent to the streets and refuse-bins are outrageous. Who sent them? Of course, tramadol; cannabis, cocaine, nose candy, white lady, yayo, marijuana, codeine, pethidine and morphine did.

“In my post primary school days at Mary Knoll College (MKC), I witnessed students inhaling “solution” wrapped in handkerchief. That’s a liquid substance used for gluing of tyres. Some inhales lighter. Today, they’re some that inhale the ether evaporating from waste dump. Even the gas from latrine.

“Conversely, drugs are naturally vital to human health. It’s when they’re used contrarily to their consumptive usages or doctor’s prescription that they poses danger to its users. They’re either taken intravenously or orally. The youths of today can smoke anything leaf. They can drink any liquid called herb without minding its composition.

“In the streets, young ladies are hawking all deadly liquid known as shekpe; adogorayo, cat-head, monkey-tail, jedijedi etc. Some are miotic drugs that causes miosis. That’s the constriction of the pupil of the eyes. Pyretic; substance that causes a rise in body temperature. Mydriatic; those herbs dilates the pupil of the eyes due to stimulants such as {meth}amphetamines, coke, etc. Hypnotic herbs; these ones when consumed can induce one to sleep or make the user hypnotized due to the soporific substance it contained.

“Most times, drivers and security personnel; mostly police officers are the ones that patronizes these hawkers the most. Any doubting Thomas is advised to take a walk to Habour junction (EPZ,) Calabar to bear witness too. Therefore, they can release fire at will due to the effect of these drugs. What of narcotic and anesthetic? They reduce pain, induce sleep and could alter moods or behaviors.

“Drug abuse has become a societal problem which requires everybody’s attention and action. No tribe, sex or age is safe. In times like these, there is no place for the “lone wolf”. Your positive campaign against this monstrous menace can be a powerful jab in reducing this challenge. Therefore, I respectfully call on you to arise and say no to drugs abuse. I repeat, say no to drugs abuse!”

The Filthy World of Nigeria's drug lords
One of it’s debilitating manifestation is the recent killing in Ozubulu, Anambra State. The government alone cannot solve the problems of drug trade. Parents and religious leaders must be involved.

drug-smuggling
Most parents no longer ask their children how they got their wealth, because indirectly they pushed them to it. Our religious leaders won’t stop blessing them, because of the inherent largesse in doing so. The church killing is a perfect example but believe me, it’s just the beginning.

In the late 80s and up to late 90s, while we were in our formative years, we had our own share of societal influence. This influence had impacts over our values, thoughts, decision and perception. Our general overview on life were greatly shaped by what we saw, heard and related with every day.

Two major influence that exerted great impacts on us were music and film. Those days, I loved listening to gists. I loved following trends. I listened to latest music and watched films. That period was when Nigeria’s hip hop artistes started making waves. Although, they were not so popular like what obtains nowadays, but they were quite prominent. Plantashion Boyz (where Tu Face emerged), Daddy Shokey, Baba Fryo and other were still struggling for survival; unlike Boyz II Men, Tupac, Notorious BIG, Tony Braxton and other foreign musicians, who were so popular among many Nigerian youths.

One thing you cannot take away from me is my love for originality. This made local musicians and film artists look more attractive to me.

In those days, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, Abbas Akande Obesere, Adewale Ayuba, Sir Shina Peters and a host of others were the rave of the moment.

Then, we were so obsessed with their performances on stage. Everybody craved being mentioned in the social circle by these musicians. Immediately they were mentioned, they became so popular among the socialites, businessmen, corporate bodies, big girls and students.

I remember those periods with great and mixed nostalgia. You cannot claim to be current, until you know Tulampa (Tula Mania Oko Yetunde of London), Ade Bendel, Salawe Sati Ramoni, Tunde Oginni (Oginni mi Allen), Rotimi Ogedengbe(Ewolewo, O ya bara), Ajala Basiru, Bolaji Basia, Segun Alawaye, Siliki, Lanre Shittu and other criminals and Druglords. They were praised to high heavens by musicians and clerics.

No thanks to Wasiu Ayinde, Obesere, Shina and co.
Lyrics like:
Ade Bendel mi oooo, ololo ooo. Oko Yinka, ololooo! Kinni to loo bummi nkoooo, ab’o ni bunmi mo, o saanu o bunmi….

He praised him to the extent that some of us felt like being like him. Then, secretly, Ade Bendel was my role model. I loved everything about the young Edo man, especially his criminal exploits in drug peddling. The day I heard Ade Bendel bought Lexus and Buick! Oh my God! I felt like turning myself into one of ‘his boys’!

Maurice Ibekwe, who later became a member of the Federal House of Representatives, was another criminal I loved so dearly. You know why? The way Wasiu sang his praises in his record was just captivating: E je ka re’le Maurice, Ibekwe! Ogenne Maurice na nu Nkechi, Odinma….

Bolaji mi Basia mi, Basia mi oo. Oko Abukki mi, Abukki mi oo. Baba alaye t’o se gogo mi, se gogo mi oo. Bolaji mi Basia miiii oooo! Pali pali l’owo mi l’odo Basia ooo. Kii nawo e le’yo l’eyo…Do you even know the meaning of the last part of the rhythm? It means: “Bolaji Basia doesn’t spray me in piecemeal. He sprays me in bundles and bales! And true to it, he sprayed in packs, bundles and bales!

Did you remember what killed Tunde Tulampa? He had a ghastly accident, while rushing home from one of Wasiu’s life performances, in a bid to bringing more money from home to spray. Hmmm…Awa l’awo ti Tula Mania Oko Yetunde of London, gba’bi ma gbabe, gbabe ma gbabi.

How many will I count? Those fraudsters and drug pushers are just too numerous. Lagos Island is the hotspot of drug deal in Nigeria. Lagos Island is a transit point from Asia and South America to Europe and America. Ghana, Republic of Benin and Ivory Coast are their drug routes. Island boys know the route more than the nationals residing in those countries.

They are in active criminal conspiracy with Customs and Immigration officers. You can never track them. It is a cartel you cannot break easily. They are just too sophisticated to be nabbed. They travel to Europe like we travel on a daily interstate basis. Airport and bank officials are not left out in this long chain of criminality.

Those who carry for those big men are the couriers. You carry on an agreed term. You must follow instructions religiously. And if you’re caught, you’re on your own. It is between life and death. You succeed, you’re rich. You fail, you’re doomed. No one cares what happens to you.

They make millions in foreign currencies and billions in naira. The youths are marveled and impressed with their filthy and lush lifestyles. They buy posh cars to oppress. They spend lavishly on alcohol and prostitutes. They live ostentatiously to the admiration of the willing-to-join youths. You must ‘belong’ before you can be integrated into the system. You cannot decipher some codes, if you are not ‘among’.

Many lives have been lost through the illicit trade. Many youths are serving endless terms in foreign prisons. Many are languishing in pains and regrets in incarceration.

One of it’s debilitating manifestation is the recent killing in Ozubulu, Anambra State. The government alone cannot solve the problems of drug trade. Parents and religious leaders must be involved. Most parents no longer ask their children how they got their wealth, because indirectly they pushed them to it. Our religious leaders won’t stop blessing them, because of the inherent largesse in doing so.

The church killing is a perfect example but believe me, it’s just the beginning.
