meipsum1: In a global pandemic, the Federal Government of Nigeria has not paid her doctors ( House officers) since December 2020. The House officers are the youngest, most vulnerable and defenseless group of doctors and have no one to fight for them yet they are the most overworked member of the nigerian medical profession.
This situation has led to the collapse of an house officer in the University of Portharcourt Teaching Hospital in Rivers state after working for 72 hours straight. Yet as at today 5th March, 2021, these group of doctors all over the federation have not being paid January and February salary. A hungry doctor is a danger to the public and himself.
Gordieshegz: Actually, same can be said about PhD too.. About 3 to 5 years depending on having a master's already or not. you getting done in time depends on you..
About the topic, what we have here is a clear case of flexing of political muscles. The structure of a fellowship is not in anyway of lower standard to PhD.
I expect MDCN to incorporate PhD into their Fellowship curricula soon.
This last sentence is very thoughtful. The solution to all these may lie there.
juniorstar: do they know what ppl go through to get fellowship FWACP/FWACS or NMPCN . the amount of research done to get this fellowship.or they think these colleges dash ppl these things. for their PhD they allow trial and errors but with human life such isn't allowed.
It is the people, the professors or examiners that make it unnecessarily tough. In the US, once you start your residency, you already know when you will finish. The pressure consultants put on residents can be show of superiority.
Uche Ogbuagu is South East's pioneer tele-comedian, a severe critic of Rochas Okorocha and politicians down the years and was a staunch member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) until his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in January 2020.
Uche Ogbuagu criticised Ohakim and even released songs against Ohakim. He favoured Rochas . Rochas became the governor and later sidelined him and the Agbaso group, he started criticising him. Later he contested and won under the PDP. Again came out to criticise Ihedioha , that his government is sidelining him. I guess he will criticise Uzodinma soon.
He would have remained a critic and an entertainer, but he ventured deep into politics for the national cake.
100trillion: My senior bro wedding was schedule for the 30th day of October 2021, his wife and her fams were on his heads, telling him to make sure the wedding is the talk of the town, that, he should rent a big hall and make sure food; drinks; meats; kola etc. are available.
So last night he told me, I asked if his wife contributed anything, he said "Monetary" No....that she said she'll bring ppl to cook food and handle things women are meant to handle.
I told my him: Snr bro, make marriage simple. Don't take loans for wedding, don't use all your savings on wedding just to please people. People come to eat, drink and leave you in povery. Manage what you have. If your wife can't help you to think straight, then she ain't wife worthy. This afternoon, in my presence he called his in-laws and called off the wedding....thank God he has not complete the dowry.
Hope I was right?
Confusion in Nigeria is too much alreasy to add this
seunrebirth: Stemming from the recent attack on the person of Senator Rocha's Okorocha, former governor of IMO State, there are emerging facts to what transpired at the scene of the attack.
Okorocha, who was viewed from an emerging video clip made available to the media by his P.A, was seen querying the essence of the attack on him and his aides when the visit was a normal routine check of his wife's property.
In the video, Okorocha asked the security personnel around the premises, if there was a court order for the invasion.
He was also in fear because the invaders were masked thugs. According to the video, an explanation from one of the security points to the fact that the invades were ordered from the government house in Owerri.
Soon after his comments, gunshots were heard from the background believed to be tear-gas fired by both the thugs and in-house security. That led to everyone scampering for safety.
Shortly after the fierce attack by the alleged thugs, some of his entourage were seen in a pool of blood from machete cuts including Okorocha's in-law alleged to have inflicted on him by the thugs.
Senator Okorocha who was whisked out of the scene by his aides for safety was short of words as to what could warrant an unprecedented attack on him as a citizen inspecting his property.
Watch the video below where Hope Uzodinma boys were celebrating after the attack on Rochas Okorocha the same night:
Recall that the property in question has been under investigation following a fall out by the new administration in Imo State government.
The estate has been under lock with security guards. According to reports, Okorocha who was in the state for a function decided to have a routine check at the estate hence, he claims, it still belongs to him.
This video is cut-and-join. I saw some videos online showing other views, including the continuation of the earlier part of this video to when they broke the locks and Rochas drove the white Hilux blocking the entrance gate out etc.
It is an unfortunate situation especially for the injured.

Orji Ogbonnaya Orji (March 11, 1963) hails from Arochukwu Local Government Area in Abia State, Nigeria.
He is a recipient of the Nigerian Media Merit Award (Winner: Reporter of the Year, 1995), and have served in a number of Presidential Advisory Committees.
Orji Ogbonnaya Orji is also the author "Inside Aso Rock: The Day Abacha died", a book that chronicles the final hours of former Head of State, Late Gen. Sani Abacha.
So he will not speak pigin or Igbo for the next 10 years? Chai crime no dey pay. For this short life wey we get, 10 years will be locked up in a dungeon dream of thick walls and criminals?
He will come out to contest for political seat in Nigeria and may win.
JidennaJason: You see this young man doing well for his club side, playing good football and representing the country in a positive way, but Gernot Rohr will rather look away, just like the way General Buhari is looking away anytime Fulani herdsmen strikes.
Gernot Rohr will rather invite one nonsense player from third tier of Germany or France who cannot list 10 States and their capitals than to invite continental and home based Players.
Lol.. Even 4th tier
Rohr is cashing out big time on top Nigeria head. I feel there is some kind of bribery to be featured in his super Eagles team
Beremx: The school should be renamed Imo State University Orlu Campus. Owerri campus of IMSU is congested
That was Rochas initial proposal. Indigenous people gave out their lands hoping that it will become Imo State University's permanent site. The state legislators moved against it- moving IMSU to Orlu.
They have admitted multitudes they will graduate multitudes they wont ask them to leave the school now to learn a trade. after paying school fees and going through this hardship only to be told during nysc to learn a trade or a skill because they don't have jobs for u.
why are they wasting our time?
That should actually be controlled. I think NUC do give limits, but most government owned universities don't follow the instructions
Oh, he's now a professor. He is also the owner of Gregory University.
To the topic- Abia is one of the States in Southeast that have been successful with the zoning principles of governors. Whether those elected as governors have been successful is a topic for another day.
Orji Uzo Kalu- Abia North- 8years T. Orji- Abia Central - 8years Ikpeazu- Abia South- 8years
In 2023, the cycle would either continue or disorganized. Having noted this, it was quite greedy for the Abia North to contest in 2019(if they truly wanted to respect the zoning principle). There was a time one Uche Ogah , from Abia North, was declared the winner of the 2019 election. The same region that talk about zoning but fail to respect it. Had it been Ogah remained as governor, it would be denying the Abia South their complete 8 year term. It seems he was compensated with a ministerial post.
My take for Abians is that 2023 is a new cycle. Vote credible leaders that will deliver you from the sufferings of today. This new cycle can start from any zone- North, Central or South (preferably not). The choice is yours.
This Ike Ibe is possibly eyeing that seat. He can be worse. Shine your eyes Abians. Any information on the management of his university, Gregory University? How are his staff fairing, salary etc.?
Henix: So the money is now excess that they don't know what else to do with it again, or are they carrying out the spiritual instruction given to them? Nigeria is full of drama
The money is not in excess. If So, they would have changed their car at least
If they want to send money to your bank account in Nigeria, we recommend using a specialist currency provider, include WorldRemit, TransferWise, Boss Revolution, Xoom or MoneyGram.
According to our research @ , Thousands of people send money back to Nigeria every week. With over 15 million Nigerians living outside Nigeria, everyone needs an easy and inexpensive way to send nairas back home to benefit family, friends and others. People from Nigeria send around $20 billion back home each year.
This is even the best and right time to have more money sent from abroad.
After all said and done, Wiseandtrue, Maybe that someone you spoke to outside the country is not ready to send you shishi and only decided to keep scoping you... no be u again our darling W!
Xoom still send to Nigeria?
