I don’t know who managed to convince you that you have no right over your own body. But that’s not true.
You’re an autonomous human before you are anyone’s wife.

We can talk about how married people need to resolve their sexual differences and incompatibilities all day long. But before what conversation, we need to establish one fact which is that the woman is a human being with rights to her own body.

Your comment is an example of why I do what I do on NL. They keep regurgitating their misogynistic BS day in day out and young girls like you unwittingly imbibe such harmful messages without realizing what a disservice it is doing.

You’re a person and you have rights over yourself. You’re not property
Mercychen:
Mr Man, sorry o but you're being rided by that woman and she's not a good wife.

On no condition should she deny you sex except she's sick.

Her body is all yours and you have the right to have her anytime you feel like. She has no right to keep her body from your for so long.

Fine, you assaulted her ( which was a fault of hers) and you've apologized. She should forget and move on. Couples quarrel and yours won't be the first. So whybis she making a mountain out of a molehill?

It's either she's seeing someone else or tired of the marriage. I mean, why would she starve you of your conjugal rights for so long in the first place and still go on to deny you of it when you asked for it?

You better shine your eyes. I have a feeling shes getting it from someone else and now you look repulsive to see her.

Exactly
Ladyhippolyta88:
It is comments like his and many others on naira land that makes me worry for women in Nigeria.

I will reiterate again there is no where it is a crime to refuse sex it is your body and choice to decide, what is a crime is to force someone to have sex with you without consent.

There’s no telling how many women these ones on here have raped. It’s a shame

Shut up you hypocrite. If the woman had not been horading sex like gold, would the man had raped her?? She brought out the monster in d man... So his actions are justifiable. Its his legal right and forcefully taking his right his debatable under d law. undecided
There’s no law in which she owes him sex.
Some of you are really rabid about this issue

I thought women are useless? Small vaginaa deprivation and y’all are here frothing at the mouth like wild animals. Lmao

And that’s fine. She’s allowed to not be in the mood.
That shouldn’t turn him into a rapist if he wasn’t one to begin with
advanceDNA:
It’s not a new thing,

Women deny men sex for no reason.. they will just say “I’m not in the mood”
Crime › Re: I Regretted My Actions. Please Help Me! by cococandy(f): 11:59am On Jan 12, 2022
He’s a rapist not a victim
ayindejimmy:
.

Not when we both own the biro.

This is marriage not dating. Two has become one.
Refusal of sex by any of the partners is negligence of conjugal duty.
Some men when they're sex starved they portray develop animalistic instincts. Me, I just leave you and move to plan B.

I'm not defending the man's violent reaction but don't come here and say the wife is not wrong. She boxed the husband into a tight corner and he reacted differently.
They're both victims

Saying no to sex isn’t torture to a man

Do y’all have anything else going on for you except sex?
jaxxy:
Everybody talking down on the man like he is a potential psychopath without calling out the stupid wife.

How dare a woman treat her loving and caring husband the way this woman treated him? Month after months this man was subject to sexual deprivation and Torture by a selfish and uncaring wife and at some point he lost it.

It wasn’t the 1st she rejected him he did this it was over a long period of toture and frustration with no explanation in sight.

Should he have done this No! He should have looked for a better way to address the wrong behavior of his erring wife.

A man can't rape his wife...stop forming woke... a wife has no right to deny her husband sex...its a big sin if u don't know it... denying ur spouse sex can lead to adultery which is among the commandments of God....again the a spouse can ask for divorce and win the case if the partner is not performing his or or matrimonial duty ... it like give u money to keep for me, I later ask u for the money and u refuse to give me , I then search ur bag ,see money in ur back and forcefully take it and u go about telling people that I stole ur money... u women should start being logical for once and stop throwing emotions

Kinda love how you are about to burst an artery on this issue but always happily troll men who open threads on paternity fraud.

Not news that you've always been bias towards women so your opinions and labels of men don't hold any weight to me, tbh. Hopefully op sees it that way and doesn't feel guilty by your words.
I know. How awful that I have a problem with rape

OP don't feel any guilty abeg, it's your right, you deserve it, next time she denies you sex you rape her over and over again before kicking her cheating ass out of your matrimonial home
Right. Are women even humans to you people?

Yeah, hopefully she does, in the best interest of everyone. She can proceed to meet other men who will tolerate her selfish, sex denying asssss while op can get other women who will wanna fuuuck him.

*funny how you make it look like a woman divorcing a man whom she denies sex will be the man's lost* grin
It may not be his loss because unfortunately, he can always find someone to rape but it would be her gain. To be free from her rapist.

He’s of no benefit to anyone. No one has anything to gain from living with a rapist.

Good advice
tosinhtml:
Poster your issue is very simple.

You are currently in Nigeria and since you plan to stay in Nigeria for 2/3 years, It means you still have time.

I'd advise you to take steps in these particular order

1. This time you have should be used to focus on your job, build your CV and professional certificates, if your career requires any.

2. During this time, you should save your money.

3. Marry your wife in Nigeria within this 2/3 years, don't suspend your marriage plans, carry her along.

4. If you decide to travel for your studies, make her the primary applicant for the study VISA and you become the dependent. It means you should have every right Dependents are permitted to work in Canada. They need to have an Open Work Permit for this. It will allow them to work full-time anywhere any Canada without any curbs. This should be easy.

5. If you choose to go with the PR route, that is fine as well.

6. Don't travel any where without your wife, It is going to be a fruitless venture. I promise you. Canada is cold and lonely, forget about the noise on Nairaland.

7. Ignore those saying you should learn coding. Please Ignore them. Coding isn't the only way to earn good money and it isn't for every one.

Shalom!

You still have a bit of time to save for the Canada relocation if that's what you will eventually opt for.
Just make sure you continue saving enough. In the meantime, ct building your career and see where things lead to.
You may even get better opportunities even at your workplace, so see how things pan out and keep relocation as a viable option.
I've noticed time naturally takes care of certain decisions for you
Splendidly stated

Please take it easy

What determines your economy? Is it your naira? What dictates rise in prices, I guess it is your naira. If you want to buy any gadget, what dictates the price? All your clothing, na naira dey dictate the price?

So, you dont know that lawyers can even advise you better? Law, medicine and nursing are still future jobs.

Oga, no be dey do you. I am not the one who said you should not have the brain to code na. If you cant, I listed others there. The joke is on you if you dont know why coding is hot cake now. And didnt you see the rest I wrote there if your brain cannot match up with coding? So you cant use google to even help yourself out? Na waoooo.

Why is it that your blood is always hot when you hear coding? grin

No be dey do you ooo.

You called him inexperienced cos hes 27. Leave him with your girlfriend or wife and we will see who is inexperienced. grin

If you are contented with N300k, good for you. God forbid bad thing. grin Chai! See reasoning. This guy can never in his life buy a brand new car oooo. Never. So, in your life, it is used cars oyinbo don condemn you have to use? Dem curse you say make you too no buy house in a very good area? Chai! So, that N300k will do it for you. Are you cursed never to drive tear rubber? Na that N300k go do am?

Walahi! We need good government to turn around the brain of people. Poverty has messed with your brains. Honestly. You see $500 as a good salary. Chineke!!!!

Go and ask your father his salary in those days compared to the salary in the UK. See eh..you need deliverance from poverty. I'm sure you havent left this nation for once.

You need help.
Family › Re: Pursue My Career Or JAPA by cococandy(f): 5:45pm On Jan 10, 2022
$700 in Nigeria is not $700 in Canada.
Just saying

But carry on
PeaceJoyLove:
Those you mentioned on quora are from places where they make $3,000 per month (EU, rich Asuan and ME) in their countries before relocating to Canada. Is it Indians or Nigerians who make less in their homes that will complain of cold and leave? Lol. I read a complain on Twitter, but the fellow hasn't returned. Lol. One was even over quoting rent there and bla bla bla-ing how expensive Canada is one year like that. His friends who even know him there in Canada bursted him that he is a prodigal son who spend too high. Ok...make oga return home, e no gree....yet discouraging others. I guess he made the posts to tell off people at home asking him money. Lol . But that was a wrong call cos his friends bursted him and even said they prefer the cold than the heat without electricity In Naija. Another was one woman and man like that who are in APC or so. Those unserious people. Or is it Fayose's bro who became a driver in the UK? Lol. It shows he has no brain to learn future needed skills. With all the billions in naira he looted during his brother's reign. Lol. Meanwhile boys are making $3k to $6k and above as soon as they land there with good jobs. What you dont know, you dont. Ok?

Oga, it is like you havent breath in good air. Lol. If you think air is what you breath in here, you dont know anything. Just leave the shore of this nation and go breath there, you will understand. Let me not talk too much.

Fine, Canada is cold, but it's ok. Go and check figures and facts well, more Nigerians relocate to Canada than to anywhere in the world. Canada has more programs to integrate migrants into their system. In the US, it is mainly marriage cos most cannot afford to cough out $1million via investment route.

All those doing menial jobs do not have skills for the future. How can you learn digital marketing and become Sule at Walmart's entrance? No way. E no possible. If he gets masters, and learns one of the skills needed, and you say he will do a menial job.....hmmm. How possible? No way. Let the cold hammer him well, with just $1,200 entry level monthly salary, he will be far better off....which I know can be even $35,000 to $65,000 per annum with benefits.

Do not discourage him. His salary is just $526 now monthly. And he hopes to have it increased to $700. How much is that? If he aspires to go higher, let him be. If he decides to pick up those career above, leave him alone. Let him go after his passion. Stop discouraging him. And stop saying what you do not know.

If he has the opportunity of earning $3,000 here which is around N1.7million monthly, then, one may start telling him to think twice. But it's just only N300k. Haba! No so you think it is such a huge salary?

Give him pros and cons, and do not just tell him not to. If you choose to stay here, goodluck. It's your choice. But dont discourage these young guys.

He has a very good brother. He will be happy he has such guy in 5 years. He thinks he is making money and successful now, but he has not stepped out of Naija. Lol.

Anyway, let's end it like this. Just stop discouraging him. If you care, let us know the number of Naijas who has relocated to Canada and returned cos of cold. I guess you said they are all on quora. Right? So, let us know the number of Naijas there.

N300K job is what you call good. Lol. Ok ooo. God will show us the way in this nation. Hmmmm. What a pity? Ordinary $500!!!

At some point you have to decide whether you agree with or disagree with fathers being involved parents.
It’s not by supporting whichever narrative seems to be dumping on women at the moment

You seem confused
Jim99:
Father's have ALWAYS been good to their kids and have always played important roles in the life's of their kids.

Your own definition of a good father means changing diapers, cooking, cleaning, bottle feeding, putting them to sleep but that's not it. That's the role of the mother.

zomby:
I think you guys are mixing things up.

Caring physically/ mentally/ emotionally for your children is not the same as marrying to a wife that hates you.
Every great mom is very happy to have children that cherish their father. In fact, majority of magnificent mothers systematically train their children to always love their father regardless of the circumstances.

So please do not mix caring for your children with marrying to a wife that despises you…That should be a different topic.

Yes men can do all that too.
Unless the baby is exclusively breastfed, men can feed in addition to everything else you mentioned. And even more.
That’s how to build the relationship. Children don’t wake up all of sudden and prefer one parent. It starts from infancy and who they knew they could depend on to take care of them.

The funny thing is that what OP is saying is one the core messages I always preach to guys on here.
-Be more involved with your kids
-Be hands-on fathers
-Being a father is more than bringing money
-making time for your children to form bonds and attachment is important for their development development

Do you know the kinds of responses I get when I say that?

“Oh these evil feminists want to emasculate men and ruin the divine order of nature by promoting feminine features in men. They want to destroy the family unit. Men and women are not the same. Roles are different we are Africans”. You name it. I’ve heard it.

But now OP is saying the same thing but framing it to talk negatively about women, y’all are buying into the message.
Could it be that you don’t really care about loving your children as much as you care about making your women out to be the enemies??

Ponder on that.
Jim99:
Of course it's gonna sound like bashing to you, because you're guilty of it. Just like 99% of mothers are.

It's a good thing y'all are being exposed.
