Honestly I think it depends on method of application. If she’s wearing or applying something onto her body or ingesting it into her own body with the hope that it will make men like her more, then that’s on her and you can’t arrest her for that. It’s comparable to people who put holy water on their body to ward off bad luck. You can’t really arrest people for religious or superstitious beliefs that do not physically harm anyone else.

But if she’s putting concoctions into a man’s food/drink with the hopes that she will get him that way, then it qualifies as poisoning and she should be held accountable. That’s the same as drugging someone without their knowledge. It should carry the same weight as when men do it.

Yes the official age of childhood ends at 18. It doesn’t mean they are technically adults. There’s the actual phase known as adolescence where teenagers transition to actual adults. And late adolescence does extend all the way to 21 years of age which is when the vital and cognitive parts of brain are believed to complete the most growth necessary to be a mature functioning adult. Even if legal age tells you 16 is okay fvck, as an adult, maybe have some common sense and know that someone who is not very mentally mature is in a disadvantaged position if they go into a relationship with someone way older than them.

Following your logic, since there’s no difference between a 16 year old and 18 year old, and of course since there’s little difference between 14 year old and 16 year old
maybe 14 year old and 18 year old should be regarded as the same right? How about a 13 and 18yr old? Where do you draw the line?

What is wrong with a man marrying multiple wives or other women deciding to marry a man with other wives if they all agree to it?

If you cite religion, then same religion is against homosexuality, sex before marriage and sex outside of marriage.

Read to understand. There is nothing wrong in polygamy (and polyandry). But there is everything wrong with polygamy where the family unit is made up of one man and multiple women who are underaged, unwilling or do not have a say in being married off/remaining in such marriages. Get it?

The situation in Afghanistan has a lot of women being sold off to men as spoils of war. Speak with the average Arewa girl and she’ll tell you how she had no say in being a second wife or with her husband marrying other women and Ben if she was unhappy with it. I don’t bother asking them their ages because that is a heartbreaking situation I hate to dwell on.

It is ignorant and absurd of reno to take the situation of people in Afghanistan and compare it with the practice of two consenting male/female adults deciding to spend a life together. The dislike for polygamy actually came with CHRISTIANITY! The concept of one man to one woman and made sure by the early church. Ask your elders when you get home about how the church frowned against polygamy and made a lot of converts divorce wives married after the first wife.

The emancipation of women rights also contributed greatly. Brave women who refused to be seen as property to be owned by anyone and advocated that if polygamy existed, polyandry should be legalized too.

In Islamic countries, is polygamy consensual in the sense that the women’s rights are respected and if she says no, then the husband will desist from such acts? Or will he say it’s his right to be cruel because his religion allows it.
