Brachaa: You see?? That was just a rough estimate I gave there considering what we had going in 2010.
Now just did my findings for 2020 and here's what is reports suggests. The ‘entry-level’ Birkin with plain hardware is priced at $9,000 USD and approximately $12,000 to $15,000 AUD for Australian customers.
Dependent on the leather and if any special stones are used, it could rise to $200,000 AUD, if not higher.
And it's also said that you can't just go into any hermes shop to get it. It has to be through second and even at that it's still very expensive since the bags are high in demand hence appreciate overtime.
I think chikas is second hand value. But mehnnn... @bold is true. I’ve tried. Just out of curiosity though not like I was ready to pay for it . They don’t even carry it in any of their stores display. I only bought perfume and bracelet and left. If they trust you and you build rapport with any of their agents, after you spend a ton of money buying scarfs, homeware, other purses and accessories, their agent may let you skip the line and go get you a Birkin or Kelly from the back. And only by appointment. They are too pompous. Even the second hand value is not cheap. Often times people buy it and resell for higher than they paid for it because the person who really wants it can’t get from the store directly. So they are willing to pay more for second hand authentic . If hers is second hand (and authentic), she probably still paid as much if not more than the price of the brand new. Fashionphile is a renowned site here that sells authentic preloved (second hand) luxury. Most people get cheated and pay a lot for fakes when then they go to other sites that claim to sell authentic second hand.

pocohantas: They say they are handmade and the leather is premium. 1.5m is even cheap, that is for the general designs. A good number of actresses use the original-fake, which is somehow very expensive too.
J111333 can you see what your mate is doing for his sidechick? If you won’t do for Ishilove, do for me abeg. And you have to be on their waitlists for ages to get your hands on a birkin or a kelly. Most celebs do carry original fake which might cost around $600-$1000. The real ones minimum of $12k and up. The price increases based on your choice of leather, hardware, lining etc |
Celebrities › Re: Chika Ike Flies In A Private Jet For Business Meetings (Photos) by cococandy(f): 5:08am On Sep 25, 2020 |
More like around 5 million naira. Cheapest Birkin is around $12,000 brand new. Cheapest ones. . Although she’s carrying a kelly in that picture. Many of your naija celebs carry the fake ones (which aren’t cheap compared to what fashion costs in naija). Brachaa: Mehnn see Hermes bag oo. I'm sure this bag will be running into 1.5M by now. Wow!
This was exactly how Regina was lured with private jet things.
This man should just open a foundation for the single ladies instead of calling it marriage. This one don't pass marriage o. Lol.. see cruise .
Ned Ned. This your ladies care foundation biz is thriving o. Lol .
I need that Hermes bag right now (not without a car though) ... Lol.. * jumps outta thread** |

Neddstark: This is the 100% truth. Women love secretive lives. I hope someone planning to get married is reading. Check your woman's phone. It is a must. I will never forget one babe I was on bed with that was on call with her guy singing their love song together. Nigga didnt know that the reason she was breaking in the song was because I was at the other end biting boobbs. Women. I fear them!!! You that’s biting boobs in one corner while she’s on the phone with another man you don’t consider yourself a simp too? |

Family › Re: Family: Why You Never Hit A Woman. by cococandy(f): 6:16pm On Sep 20, 2020 |
While you hitting her is a big issue. It’s not the primary issue you have in your marriage.
Her conduct is one. Y’all’s financial situation is another. Not saying that solving these two will definitely cause you to never hit her again (we don’t know the type of person you really are). But I’m willing to bet that it likely will change a lot in your relationship dynamics if she fixes her behavior.
If she says she definitely wants to leave, you’re allowed to be sad.you’re human . But have some dignity and don’t beg for love.
I always tell anyone who cares to listen. DON’T EVER BEG ANYONE FOR THEIR LOVE. Be with who wants to be to with you. |

pocohantas: 1: She didn’t buy for HERSELF, she bought for the kids. Obviously she doesn’t want them to feel the impact of their wonderful dad. Maybe she even tells them to go thank him for those gifts- this happens a lot.
2: People would not advise her that, till she drops dead.
3: Because she is a woman and most men do not tell women the truth. Except when they want to call them fishbrain or desperate evening newspapers. Oh I must have read that wrong. I thought she got for herself too. So the kids’ gifts are the reason why this man is being weird . Instead of thanking her for taking care of the children? I don’t know but that’s kinda weird. |

Their egos can’t let them process this. They are Zeus gifts to women and all women want to be with them . Hathor5: Did you notice the smirk on her face? It says 'Now I don't have to share the bed with grandpa all the time'. Let Regina work.
Any man whose wife is not jealous he sleeps and even marries other women can be rest assured that she doesn't give a f*ck about him. |

Oh I think I remember this poster now. I believe I advised her in one of her former threads to try and make herself happy on her birthday instead of waiting for him to remember to make her feel special. She was wondering if she was being too sensitive by expecting something from him. Well 3 jobs will burn anyone out unless they have employed help to manage the businesses. There are men who’d be overjoyed to have a wife like her. Hathor5: She has probably built up feelings of resentment. On her other thread she was complaining that her husband does not even say a prayer for her on her birthday. Reading the other thread I am questioning the credibility of both threads but I am playing along because I find it interesting how people read the story selectively and blame her for not buying gifts while ignoring the other parts of the story.
I expected people to tell her that three jobs will burn her out soon enough. |

emmyN: Don't be so fast . There is a bandwagon effect on nairaland; the first few comments determine where the tide faces, only until someone is bold enough to break it. I agree with this part. |
Family › Re: Ladies What Will You Do In This Situation? by cococandy(f): 12:35pm On Sep 20, 2020 |
I thought I was in the twilight some reading the 1st and second pages. The thread was overcome by people praising others for their comments rather than actually seeing the issue in OPs financial condition. 1) nothing wrong with her buying him gifts . I always encourage generosity. In fact I wonder why she bought for herself and the kids and excluded him in the first place . She could have either bought for everyone or no one at all. Or just buy for the kids alone. 2) I was thinking people would advice her to stick to her financial goals instead of using the third income as something to play with. 3) why does anyone thinks it’s okay for her to be managing 3 sources of income (I’m willing to bet she’s the primary home keeper as well) while he’s satisfied with his one source? Hathor5: You are missing the point. She is working three jobs because he has refused to up his hustle waiting for a miracle to happen. How can a man, in a society where you consider yourselves the providers and protectors, watch his wife work three jobs and instead of being worried about the impact the work load will have on her health, ask for gifts because she bought the kids snacks.
Has anyone acknowledged this woman's vision and plan for a better future? You should all pray for a wife who thinks of building with you instead of asking you to spend on her wigs and nails. But no! Mr. wants gifts because she got the kids some snacks. |
