Airloard: I always kill my by stabbing at the cross line, which I know you won't try
Another method I can add, is the freezing method... put it inside the freezer and bring out after 10 or 15 minutes. Freezing sounds like boiling but less traumatic to watch. That’s the method I’ll use then. Thanks |

Do you use live lobster? If yes how do you kill them? I’ve been told to put them in boiling water and leave it to die. Or smash the head with a hammer. none of which sounds something I want to do. Any better ideas? |
Business › Re: 8 Stressful Thoughts Every Nigerian Has When Using The ATM by cococandy(f): 5:11pm On Jun 11, 2020 |
Oh my. Sorry. Klass99: Lol, Union Bank caused me to shed tears an entire weekend. The bank's ATM debited me without dispensing cash on a Saturday morning, when I desperately needed food stuffs and went grocery shopping.
I called my back to report the issue, frantically hoping a reversal would be immediate so I could still shop. I had no food at home, absolutely nothing to eat.
All the money I had in my account was debited without being dispensed. That completely ruined my weekend. I went to the supermarket earlier and shopped for the things I needed, only to be informed at the the check out counter that the POS wasn't working, hence my trip to the ATM.
It took 7 days, for a resolution/reversal. My bank had to contact Union Bank to verify my claims first and blah, blah, blah. Now, I try to only use my bank's ATM, cos a reversal will happen almost immediately or within 24 hours. |

Crime › Re: Court Frees Girl Accused Of Murdering 51-year-old Man Who Attempted To Rape Her by cococandy(f): 3:39pm On Jun 11, 2020 |
angelfallz: Like seriously? She was acquitted because there was no clear cut evidence that she killed the man. Didn't you read that? If she didn't kill the man, then who did? I read that. I said it doesn’t take anything from my post because for her to be released , the court must have had evidence that she was saying the truth (I.e signs of a struggle with the man) or in this case can’t prove she killed him. So either way it doesn’t take or add anything to my post. They had a reason under the law to release her. Who killed him? I’m assuming for her to state that he tried to rape her means she was involved somehow. It’s left for them to make a good case and get justice. |

angelfallz: The part about the valid question, you're correct. But the rest of what you said, shows you didn't read the news article. Please read the newspaper article in full. okay. Done. Doesn’t really take or add anything to/from my post still. |

For those saying who knows what’s really happened? That’s a valid question because dead people can’t talk. And only her and the dead man can give account of what happened.
But I’m sure the court must have seen signs/evidence of a struggle that supported her claims of attempted rape.
If she didn’t fight, they would still ask her why she did not fight. How can one man rape you when he doesn’t have a gun? She was doomed to be condemned either way. |

Crime › Re: Muhammad Alfa Who Raped 40 Women In 1 Year In Kano Arrested By Police by cococandy(f): 2:32pm On Jun 11, 2020 |
So, one man could rape up to 40 women in one town, but Nairaland rape apologists swore that Port Harcourt boy couldn't rape 24 women in PH, because no man can rape that many women and get away with it. Cc safarigirl When people say many Nigerian women have experienced rape, this is how come. It doesn’t mean that if 50 percent of the women have been raped, then 50 percent of the men must be rapists. It’s because the rapists amongst them are career rapists and they are usually at it until they are caught it or they get old weak. There was this old man I learned that got sent to jail a while ago for rape. Learned he had been doing it to kids in the neighborhood for years and their parents were covering it up for shame and to not soil the children’s names (imagine). Because people would judge the kids and their parents rather than the rapist man. Only one when it came to one woman’s child did she raise alarm and he was arrested. He had been at it for years. Years!. Now the do the math. |

Also known as being sharp. Lol Sometimes the consumer thinks the service provider is trying to rip them off. they don’t trust the initial quote so they underprice in an attempt to get what they imagine to be the real cost of the service. (They don’t want to be a mugu). Just a systemic lack of trust on both sides. If only there was a way to standardize prices for services. Usually people can charge what they like and it can lead to short changing some other service providers and consumers. bukatyne: I think it is just a culture of ripping people off.
Yea, some don't know the value E. G. The OP.
How do you explain someone collecting N2m from a student per year and paying the teacher tutoring twenty of those students N100k per term?
Or subcontracting a job for less than 20%?
I remember a bead maker telling me that a woman was pressuring her to collect N4.5k for a piece which she sold N15k in front of her?
Someone wanting to use a service they are paying N800k monthly to make N600k weekly? |

This part Hathor5: I love this thread.
I think OP has partly answered his own question. It is often ignorance. OP didn't know what it would take to dry his car so he underestimated the time, manpower and energy needed to do the job. Another reason could be greed and another lack of respect for other people's work.
In a country where children are used to run a home, the last reason is no surprise.
What people do not understand is that this has consequences for the economy as a whole and ultimately affects them negatively.
Someone who earns well has more spending power and so supports other people's business and these people in return other people's business. This creates more jobs. It goes on.
lekki1444 God bless you for paying more than they asked initially. It tells so much about the kind of person you are. God bless you. |
