After the unnecessary insults?

Bye

I agree with @ bold
KingSatan:
Ok, enough said.

Let's keep moving forward. Life is beautiful and so is true love .

My Appologies to all.

May our Marriages Last longer and May the foundation of our homes remain firm and strong.

May our children be a source of joy to us and may they succeed in all the good things they do.

In your mind now you’re sleek with insults right grin

What if you’re a fool?

KingSatan:
Like I said, no woman will ever tell her the truth.

If you had read my post, you would have seen where I said "Marriage is not a smooth sail". What if you have comprehension issues?

If you had compared both posts truthful, you would have noticed that there is a big difference. What if you have a microscopic Intelligent Quotient?

Or better still, you are a just being a WOMAN THAT YOU ARE!

For the records, my story is not a true love story. It's actually a MARRIED MANS EXPERIENCE IN WRITING. NO LYING, NO HYPOCRISY

Or maybe still, you are a WOMAN!
Yes I am a woman. Thanks for clarifying that to me. grin

But the thread asked for the positives. (In my inference. Based on all the sadness he’s observed) Hence I am prepared to read posts that exalt the wives and husbands of the posters. Like showers of praises where applicable. It can (and maybe it should) turn into a competition if possible. It’s a good thing. Not always tales of woe.

Every reasonable adult knows that there’s no smooth ride in any relationship. You don’t have to add that for us to know. But with sad stories swarming the forum, the OP was looking for uplifting comments. (Correct me if I’m wrong OP)

Theres no need for the unnecessary misery olympics and toning down the happiness to make sure no one gets offended. Mostly to please folks who will rather wish for you not to have it all.

I knew it would only take one post for that to start happening. Like y’all will quench if you stop and be happy for yourselves or someone else for a second. cheesy

They will still complain

CHoccolaTE:
Bride price laws were created because men saw women as less than human and wanted to treat them as mere commodities that can be exchanged for property or money.
But men are now the ones blaming women and complaining of bride price laws because Buhari economy is holding their necks and dealing with their bank accounts. If it was in an era when there were still many jobs and the economy was good I can bet my last kobo that the same men complaining of bride price will be vehemently insisting that it should be paid because they like the idea of buying and selling women like cows.

See how yours is the true love story but the other lady was trying to portray herself as the luckiest ?

grin

No be today.

KingSatan:
I knew I would meet your kind.

This is not a thread to breed competition or promote hypocrisy.

You woman are good at dropping lines like these in order to portray the luckiest woman on Earth.

I have been married for over 3 decades and I can say "Marriage is beautiful if both of you love each other truthfully" and are determined to make your marriage work. Though it's not a smooth sail but with a determined spirit, you will conquer all.

You will sometimes fight your extended family because of that woman you love and cherish. Marriage is not for the feeble heart.

I remember one time, I looked straight in her eyes and I saw a helpless woman. I stood up to my late uncle's and told them never to insult my wife again or I stop bearing their surname and cut ties with them forever.

I could remember when i slumped, my wife was crying like I child. I woke up to her screams and tears.

I love my wife and I am without any doubt that she loves me too. I married her because I couldn't imagine living so far away from such beautiful soul. I wanted to have her all to myself and I succeeded.

Today, I don't see the curves (Of course I wasn't interested in all that when I married her) and she isn't seeing the albs, afro hairstyle etc but she is still my "Sexy Amigo".

I will marry her over and over again if given a chance.

PS: Don't even think money brought us together. I was still trying to find my place in this life when I met her. She told me "I believe in you"

After my mother, no one else except her said those words to me.

I held on to those words and today, it's all history.

No matter what they write, we won't stop putting it here if we have good men in our lives, they are used to sad stories forgetting that good stories exist too.

The Op even expects to read stories like, " I will not marry my husband in another life because he is a beast".
They do know that good stories exist. They just don’t want it to be you. And the bad stories do create more back and forth, arguments bla bla bla grin hence more interesting

But yes, you can’t stop living and sharing your happiness because another person doesn’t like it.

Greatdre:
The little research I made also showed that many people are not happy in their marriages but will come public to display their marriage or spouse as the next best thing. A woman can be receiving consistent beating from the husband on a daily basis but would still display her husband to the outside world as the best man on earth . Thats the kind of society we find ourselves. Nobody wants to be ridiculed for having a bad spouse or union.
Like this one.

If you share any bit of your life that seems good in public, “researchers and truth seekers” won’t stop looking holes in it to convince themselves that you must be unhappy somehow.

Doesn’t matter what anyone says on this thread, Nairalanders will believe whatever they want to believe. People act like that love to see happily married people but they actually derive more joy from other people’s sadness.

Cue the sad threads that attract more attention versus the good marriage ones which at best are boring for these spectators or as usual will seem like show off to them.

OP there are happily married people everywhere. Yes even on NL. They may not come to this thread to tell you about it. But yes there are.

You’re logical because you hate those who look like you.

Woya sorry, i like you and only you.

Are you happy now?
Family › Re: Why Are Other Tribes So Concerned About The Expensive Igbo Bride Price Issue by cococandy(f):
Why not marry children then? At least they won’t have as much sexual experience as y’all do wink . Hopefully they won’t even have any.

When you talk about abolishing bride price (as it should be), watch these lot start frothing at the mouth.

For some weird illogical reason the ladies that are sleeping with you guys now haven’t reduced your value in your minds but somehow you guys have reduced their value by doing the same sexual activity to her that she did to you. Make it make sense. But it doesn’t. Because it’s stupid. Almighty logic cheesy. Making yourselves sound like filth for reducing the value of whatever you touch.

Simply do away with bride price or keep wailing about high bride prices for the same women that you’re currently sleeping with, who are magically not virgins on the day you’re ready to get married grin .

Bride price is a male culture. Enforced by men ( as are most regressive cultures) “we are in Africa yen yen yen”. Then turn around and blame women for the foolishness. Watch them grow into men who perpetrate the culture while also griping about it. A father can decide he won’t collect bride price and nothing will happen.

The confusion is making me dizzy embarassed .
