You have already apologized to him. Let him be and face your life.

If you have issues with people keeping grudges against you, then you will always have issues . Because people won’t always be in your good books nor you in theirs.

Even if he wants to avoid you to stop further events in the future, he can always reply your message with a simple “okay” and leave it at that. He doesn’t have to visit you guys anymore if he doesn’t want to nor does he have to pick up your calls.

But then he’s hanging out with your husband while not in speaking terms with you or visiting you guys. Makes me question what they even talk about.

Don’t play that game with him please.
If he’s not talking to you then he’s out. Simple. Don’t contact him any further.

No big deal there. That's marriage sometimes.

SIGHS.

grin
Or maybe it’s a useless story by miserable people who have nothing going on in their lives except to fantasize about how others are suffering just like many before it.

What elders BTW? The same family members that supposedly hate her and don’t want her in their family? Doesn’t it make sense that they would be all too happy to see her go?

The internet is filled with demons

They go home and are normal with their families so their families don’t know how truly demonic they are. You can see their true colors when it’s time to dump on other folks who have no idea they even exist.

Don’t you see how the stupid blogger ended the disgusting post “Hopefully they’ll come back together again”, just so they when he or she is outed for writing false information, they can claim the couple finally came back together.

Culin:
How can some sit down and write such disgusting things about another fellow human, and even allow other people to comment with insults and distasteful things. You call it rumour but spewed so many things like you had evidence, only quotes from people that can't even be verified. Haba it's 2020 please lets fear God and not ruin others because of ordianary blog views. Even if they're divorcing, do you have proof that all this distasteful things you said about the woman is the reason?

Shame on you
wristbangle:
I read the article and paused at point when the family members of Olumide Akande warned him about his choice to marry Dakore.

I now have a clearer picture of an adage that says what an elder sees that made his eyes socket deep can make a child go blind.

I congratulate male celebrities who settled for ladies with contented and humble background.

She ( Dakore in Dubai) is advertising herself for the next maga who will finance her upkeeps. Nigerian actresses are the worst set of ladies to marry. Exceptions are Omotola, Mercy Johnson and very few to mention.

Same story for chika Ike, Tonto, etc. Pathetic, glutinous and parasitic set of hungry ladies.

Sigh
victorian:
I'm not surprised.
I was expecting it anyways

I'm surprised they lasted this long!

.when a carefree woman is overly controlled in an aristocrat marriage, just to please everyone in the marriage especially the parents of the man. Just give her some few years, all hell will let loose if the parents of the guy, do not wear off their hold in the son's marriage.

Red flag I saw : She cut off her dada, that one alone ehn? It's finished in that marriage. Even though she agreed to cut it off. One huge part of her died already on that spot but the husband will not know the damage he has done to her inner being, just to please family and make her look the ideal wife in the eyes of the public.

Then making her a full time housewife? When she's a busy bee? So someonelse will not snatch her from him? I laugh in Chinese!

So tell me, Was she not snatched in the end? She couldn't even wait to be divorced properly before dating another guy, whom I believe will be a free spirited guy.

Guys what you fear most in marriage and try everything possible to make sure it doesnt happen, will eventually happen. It's life. Don't allow your fears over take the running of your once loving and smooth relationship before u guys get married.

All I see here is a free spirited woman who has set herself free from bondage called marriage. She thought she will be free like when she was single. She didn't know she will tied to all sorts of rules and regulations by the family. What a shock for her!

She's not going back to that family again she's gone for good.

Everything is not all about money.

God have mercy on evil people.

You will just be living your life and some miserable folks will be busy speculating on what they imagine to be going on in your life and telling themselves bad stories about you to make their miserable existence more bearable.

This is not shocking to me. But damn .

bestofnollywood:
They were so in love with each other!

In fact, nobody envisaged that there would be a separation, not to talk of a divorce between Nollywood’s actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, and her husband.

But like some celebrity marriages, Dakore and Olumide Akande are no more. Just like a pack of badly stacked cards, the nine-year-old wedding crumbled and the centre cannot hold.

Signs that the wedlock was troubled surfaced online when the actress posted a photo where she wore bikini! Prior to that, she was sighted at the One African Music Fest in Dubai with her brother, Timini.

“The marriage had problems a few years back but the couple tried to make things work out. Many factors were responsible but Dakore became tired of not having enough money to throw around. Her husband, Olumide, who is one of a son of billionaire businessman, Harry Akande, is broke—the money isn’t flowing like when they met, courted and married. Olu lives off his dad and the economy isn’t as buoyant. Even Harry Akande is allegedly not as rich as he was,” reliable sources told Kemi Ashefon.

Many would recollect that Dakore was romantically involved with Olumide, for many years before they were pronounced man and wife at the Guiding Light Assembly, Ikoyi in 2011. A lavish reception that had in attendance elite members of the society was staged at the prestigious KFA Event Place in Lekki. Dakore’s father-in-law, businessman cum politician Chief Harry Akande brought to bear his social and financial clout.

“Olumide sacrificed everything for Dakore. Initially, when he made his intention known to family members that he wanted to marry the actress, hell was loose! No member of his family stood by him. To them, Olu could have gotten a good girl instead of an actress, who is tagged wayward and a gold-digger. He ignored all pleadings and advice. The handsome dude went for Dakore and they were married in 2011. They have two girls as products of the union,” source revealed.

Moreover, the quest for a third child must have allegedly put pressure on the actress who quit the movies long before she married Akande and after their two kids, they relocated to the United States of America. Well, Dakore’s mother-in-law wasn’t pleased with their lifestyle and wanted them in Nigeria where the couple can work towards giving her a grandson!

Meanwhile, Dakore had maintained that she was done with child-bearing. As a matter of fact, it was due to the imbroglio in their marriage that pushed her into acting again.

Not a few fans would be worried at this development because Dakore did all she could to keep her marriage intact—at least on social media. Not known to celebrate her wedding anniversaries on social media unlike some actresses, she revealed that she wanted a ‘private marriage and not one to be displayed on social media.’

In an interview two years ago, Dakore disclosed that, “My mother always say, ‘cover your yam and how you’re eating it.’ Like on his birthday, I just do maybe some posts on Instagram but we like to celebrate anniversaries in-house with the kids. We’ve been together for 11 years but married for seven years.”

Already, Dakore has moved out of her marriage and she is allegedly dating a Nigerian guy who is into entertainment and organizes big shows in Africa and other continents . Who knows the couple can still come back again.

You can’t stay there in an unstable environment that may cost you your life because your families don’t want you to divorce. your families won’t be the ones to get hurt when push comes to shove.

You need to learn to do what’s best for you regardless of what people will say. What would I do if I was in your shoes? I won’t live with a husband who jas threatened to stabbed me multiple times. Neither will I advice you to.

So you already know the answer.

People pretend they want folks to be happily married. But they are first to rejoice when marriages break up. Or assume they are lying when they state that they are still together. What a pathetic sad existence you have if your happiness comes from the idea that other are going through difficult times.
It must be a miserable kind of existence.

I would like for them to maintain their ties with their families too. Hopefully their families want the same.

For all the family love they are supposed to have, they kept quiet when these people were bullying and harassing them. Calling their new baby a monkey. If the queen can’t say something when her great grandchild is being harassed, leaves a lot to ponder on.

One should be able stand up to bullies or they might be mistaken to be in support of the abuse.

armyofone:
The whole thing is interesting. I feel for them and hope they still maintain ties with their families. I think his brother doesn't like Meghan. Even though they are trying to act like all is well, they don't like the idea that spotlights favor them when they are not the future king/queen. Same goes with the press. I think they were asked to reduce their presence etc might have caused the whole problem.
They whole thing is wow! but we may never know what is going on.

So much bullshit and hypocrisy on this thread .

Hard to know what’s the fact and what’s fiction.

However what I can deduce is that this is effect of lack of feminist ideologies. What woman who builds herself will be reduced to this because she no longer gets along with her husband?

He definitely should be in the loop. It doesn’t make sense any other way.

Even him will be present in that child’s life as much if not more than the dad (if the child is living with the mom). So yes he should be carried along.

Any arrangement the two parents that doesn't carry the husband along is bound to affect her marriage even she doesn't cheat with her ex or her child's father.

Who’s talking about combo (whatever that means)
Single parents have to share their child and because of that they can never truly be out of each other’s lives.

Parenting doesn’t have to be weird unless the adults make it weird
topboss1:
All this single mother commenting anyhow.

So if we were in a relationship, u will still be going to combo your ex before dropping off the child?

Family › Re: I Just Ended My Marriage! Single Mum I Married Still Contacts Her Ex Regularly by cococandy(f): 8:04am On Jan 11, 2020
In contact with the ex who fathered her child or some other ex? What kind of things did they discuss?

Per comments on the post: So, I suppose a single mom should deny the father of her child access to the children in order for the new man to like her? Ever heard of co parenting?

If you have a child and end up not marrying the woman who bore the child , do you deserve to loose that child so that she can move on to the next man? Or is a civil arrangement where you both can have your separate relationships and still be in your child’s life not a good option.

Na una dey do una self..

Unless he absolutely refuses to eat what you cook whenever you do cook or you guys have underlying issues that causes you concern apart from his mom cooking for him , then it may not be a cause for concern as you think.

Question is; is it just food or is your relationship with him strained in any other form? If it’s just food, then I’d consider it as a case of her trying to help. Maybe she could have asked you what’s going on since you said it’s been about two years.

or maybe he you could have asked you about it ?

Even though I absolutely love to cook, I don’t consider cooking a wife’s duty, so I’m having a hard time seeing it as a case of someone (MIL) infiltrating your space.

Maybe your husband thought you had your hands full with the new child (which you probably do) and him most likely not knowing how to cook asked his mom for help.

The simple solution (if you may) would be to tell him that you’ll pack his lunches henceforth. If he says no, then maybe you have a case. Until then, I see it as small issue.

AngryIgboMan:
You that God is in your head, have you built a generator house before not to talk of Bungalow?

This is how we encourage criminality in this hopeless nation.

This house you see right there is the result of his years of hard work which correlates with his salary EARNED! Emphasis on EARNED!

Its not the likes of Genevieve who has a whole estate in Abuja and other towns after less than 20 years in the movie industry!

Or the likes of Daniella Okeke whose big butt, houses, travels, holidays is serviced and finaced monthly out of criminal tithings collected by hopeless Nigerian pastorpreneurs!

Or the likes Nkoli Nwa Nsukka... Whose punnani has collected massive beatings all in a bid to get appointment in government.

Thats is why the whole world hates us. That is why God hates us and Doesn't know us. We are criminal in Nature. We are always on the fast lane to hit it big without recourse to societal values and norms. Every evil thing we acquire is usually attached to an innocent God who does not know evil.

When we now acquire all these nonsense, we come to build mansions in the village and townships to oppress people.

Black man acquires wealth to oppress the society
