lhordspy: Some people still dont get this. Maybe because they are very new to Nigeria politics or first time voters.
During the Presidential campaign. The candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi exploited and explored our diversity, he capitalised on our religious differences in particular to instigate hate among the the two major religion we have in Nigeria. CAN, PFN turned themselves into a political group. Especially General overseers, they turned the altar into a political stage to preach politics and propagate hate against Muslim candidates.
Peter Obi's victory in Lagos during the presidential election wasn't just from the igbos alone but from 'some' brain clouded, emotional religious sentimental yoruba christ!ans who were sold with the Jihad bullcraps. After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying their alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. The southe@sterners, feeling pompous and inflated came with the campaign of 'taking over lagos' . .. They ran twitter spaces, host interviews aided by their propaganda media house, AriseTV, scribbles and tweets were churned out about how they will sack all the obas and takeover the whole place.
How can you expect the yorubas who sided with you against their tribesman, Tinubu in the presidential election to feel about it? Happy that you want to takeover their ancestral land and mock them with it in return, just like you use the word; 'Afonja ' consistently to make mockery of our loss in Ilorin.
Sanwo Olu victory is not coming as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'
At first it was cruise, then it became aggressive, now it is uncontrollable.. Cant even be tamed nor can they reason well. It is all noise, zero thinking and strategy. The Obidient movement is turning out to be a curse to Peter Obi and the hardworking innocent igbos who committed no crime but paying for the sins of the headless mob. All your desperate crap failed to rationalize the continual incarceration of Leah Sharibu and slaughter of Christians inside churches. |

They are typical bank but wholly electronic in operation. If a thousand people deposit a million naira each, every depositor cannot pull out their money at same time or within short period. This gives the bank(OPay) the chance to loan out some of the money for interest and thus profit.
Plus their infrastructure is adept at delivering reliable services already. They gave us Opera Mini long before OPay and it was secure as well as free. |

Politics › Re: Major Lagos State Investment According To Tribe by CodeTemplar: 11:36am On Mar 19, 2023 |
immortalcrown: This figure presented by Lagospedia is likely true. This is because the 3 wealthiest families in the North use the North's domination of the federal government to monopolize major resources in Lagos.
Dangote Refinery alone worths how much?
Atiku's wharfs worth how much?
Isiaka's (BUA) wharfs worth how much?
Dantata and others are there too.
So, think about it.
But put the record straight. Saying Igbos only have mouth is stupidity. The predicament of Igbos in Nigeria didn't start now. Dan-Gote could not have been anywhere near Ibeto, even in the same Lagos. Ibeto made a move before Dan-Gote in having large cement factories. CBN denied Ibeto grant based on tribalism. CBN gave the grant to Dan-Gote few years later and he started. Few years after he started, Ibeto got a grant from another country and imported material to start his own but Custom seized the goods without any justification till date. This is what Ojukwu saw and advised Innoson to avoid locating factories outside Igbo land. Ibeto this, Dangote that. Was the grant for importation or local manufacture? Though I don't see Dangote as perfect, CBN did the right thing. |

Nigeria's situation is a hopeless one. We need to study the usefulness of police in elections because they are utterly useless. I voted last 20 years ago ignorantly as underaged. Since my eyes open small I don't waste time again. Nigeria looks hopeless and only Jesus can personally effect a positive change. |
