The way they talk about the number of cows being consumed daily is funny. If they pay for it, then it will come from anywhere and doesn't have to be from some janjaweeded amnesty chasing tribe.

I'm not opposed to local refining of fuel

But here in Nigeria people, whether pro or anti buhari or neutral hold fuel subsidy as a national article of faith

Which means in practice low prices for fuel to make refining it in the country a loss making venture

( Many of the refineries coming on stream in this country are refining every thing but pms. Because everything else is not subsidised)
The thread is about local production of cars. I insist on that.

Vardanes2:
Well the only way we can run refinereis well in Nigeria is to run them profitably

In other words allow Dangote to control the price of fuel he refines in his refinery and allow markrters to sell fuel at a price that would allow them to cover costs of transport and so on

Not the subsidy regimen which forces marketers and refineries to sell at a loss and then pays them a set amoumt as subsidy that does not cover their losses ( which is why NNPC has non working refineries....years of selling fuel at a loss)

Profits made will among other things provide more jobs and wages for employees.
You are talking subsidy which isn't what i am talking about.
If local production of cars that will employ few thousands at most is good, then local refiningbof crude which can employ millions gainfully is commonsense and should get priority over all these junkie projects.

We could refine fuel at home if we give the refiners and the marketers the right to sell the fuel at a price they deem fit instead of subsidizing the price to levels that won't allow them to make a profit

But the government and the people of Nigeria love cheap fuel
You don't need marketers or open market pricing to run local refineries. Just run it and it will employ enough people that you won't need to subsidize things to alleviate artificial poverty.

This excuse does not justify killing human like you. And you support it? You guys dont know what is WAR. Go and ask your grand fathers what is war. They will tell you about Biafra war. You may not survive day 1. Seek peace daily no matter the provocation. It is wise.
Ask you father what poverty and lack of development looks like. You talk as if war is a street fight where you can give a sucker punch and claim victory. By the way, war isn't fought with poverty of the brain and of the pocket.

This is the new formula for killing three bird with a shot.
Get some political thugs rebranded as bandits and have them abduct young students to arouse public interest in the supposed crime.
Next secure the release of the student while the public interest has gathered momentum and emotions are high to look competent one hand, to establish a bandit government relationship with the rebranded political thugs, and most importantly for the money in form amnesty and inflated ransoms.

We have been reading one sided narratives since the incidence. No single post about affected Omoluabis. Omoluabis were killed, they also lost properties but all we read on here is about how oppressors became victim. Hypocrisy.

Illiterates has taken over this platform

Don't judge a whole tribe simply because of individual opinion. Note that politicians laid tribalism foundation in this trap called country for their selfish interest. Now ask yourself, what is the population of politicians and their agents, and what is the population of neutral Nigerians.

Beware Nigerians. This is the time to know and understand the true identity of those who cause tribalism on here, they are paid agents, they are neither from east or west, some are not Nigerian. They have more than twenty monikers, they would create tribal related topics and make tribal comments with different monikers to cause chaos between southerners. Though, they have no conscience but you can try to educate them or better ignore them. They are easy to identify, use your head brothers.
They dominate this platform. They are evil and restless until their aim is achieved
They always start funny threads and make stupid comments.

You completely lost human conscience with no aorta of mercy. Is this what ur religion taught u?
The man lost properties worth millions not cash.
Initially, u said herders should respect host communities now u blame the crime of one man on thousands of people to the extent justifying the killing by mocking the dead.
The real barbaric illiterates have been exposed now because the attack and arson out of envy on Hausa-Fulani traders is a barbaric action not worthy for normal human beings.
No Northerner has ever come on social or mainstream media and accept the action of Fulani herders but the so called educated illiterates are now generally praising the killing of innocent traders and looting of their properties.
If the idiots in that location can protest the alleged killing of invisible protesters in Lekki why should they be silent about killing, burning and looting of particular ethnic group's properties and lives?
All the church/tribal Human Right hypocrites organisations are silent because they only know how to disturb and proliferate propaganda.
Stop trying to sound intelligent. There was casualties on both side. The Hausa's are dramatizing it to make the most of it. Can a Yoruba or Igbo man go to the north and do what they come down south to do? Never.
Stop waiting for the church or humanitarian folks to talk. Let the mosque act as usual so we know you guys have succeeded in taking it into religion from ethnicity.

Even though it means citing tyre manufacturing plant alone, the ROI will be so massive.

Let's just assume we have 1million vehicles in Nigeria, I million x four tyres = 4million
Maybe a brand new tyre will go for 10k, do the maths guys.

Don't forget we have trucks that have numerous tyres and other vehicles and moveables that require tyres.

That would have been one of the most lucrative business. Another one is Steel, Aluminum and cement and ceramics. But we have these natural resources in abundance here.

God, abeg why you no just give me money ?
With uncompetitive power supply rate and many unusual factors like bribery and levies, you be sure to end up with another cement story whereby the consumers end up overpaying for what they get or get lower quality for the normal price.
There are many industrial areas or clusters that lack power and good road access currently. Agbara in Ogun state is one. Otta is another. This is a just another politically motivated project with zero sense to it.

The Nigerian government is to establish automotive industrial parks in three states to promote local production of vehicles, Jelani Aliyu, the Director General, National Automotive Design and Development Council has said.

“When you build a vehicle in Nigeria, you are giving our youths jobs, empowering Nigerians and creating better life
So the govt realizes that local production creates employment but has been selling raw crude to Indians and Europeans to help them create high paying employment when they refine it.

Useless slowpoke are too much on this earth. Most African rivalry I know stem from friction between bordering communities who share something directly. The idea of bringing people from Sokoto and Kano to dominate people in Oyo still beats my imagination. Some people just slam their heads against hard horizontal surfaces and decide they are superior to others.
