onumadu:Are you for real!? Those are those who came for the commissioning? Surely you know anything that involves a governor commissioning something always involves a lot of hangers on. |
Sonnobax15:What you guys don't know is that there is no difference between one side or the other. They are all corrupt. Both PDP and APC. So when you guys argue for one over the other, then I just wonder. |
APOSTLECHUMA:True talk. But only for serious governors with half a brain. It amazes me that a state like Rivers with only major city is still the same as 20years ago asides some dualised roads by Amaechi and flyovers by Wike. Where are top notch schools and hospitals? |
NoFucksToGive:Containers through the air!? |
Validated:Its not true that Nigeria is the only country where you pay for trolley. While free in many airports, its not free in all. I pay for trolly in most airports in US. And I recall paying in Manchester airport as well. |
GenesisForum:Give me Osinbajo any day over Tinubu |
Reflect7:That is absolutely not true. By the same logic, toilets at airports and major train stations abroad should be filthy too because many people pass through there very often and that is not the case. I have watched a match at West ham stadium and Etihad before and used the toilet at half time and it was fine. |
Reflect7:Its not stereotyping but the honest truth. How many times has the stadium fallen into disrepair and fixed. This will be like the fourth time. I can guarantee you by 2025, we will be back to the same situation again if left in government hands. |
hezyfem:Good approach, but it will likely come to nothing. The person the CG gives the instruction to reform the process will himself corrupt the process. |
BrandSpurNG:NPA can't reposition jack!! All na mouth! |
Seven wonders of engineering, massive open space without pillars, you can see how tiny those trucks look inside the hall
This is relatively poor quality construction. It's not being constructed to the quality that a building this big ought to be. The ceiling looks like something that will sag very soon. And I'm sure it will use standing split AC instead on proper central ac with conduit in the ceiling. Which will eventually go bad and be leaking water all over the Place. |
vanbonattel:Na so! ![]() |
I notice the interior of the terminal building is using standing split air conditioners. In this day and age, why not install conduits in the ceiling to channel the AC!! Air conditioning is very basic and I wonder why its such a big deal to do it right. Normal houses in US have central AC with conduit, how much more a building of this size. |
daewoorazer:A 10year Bond even at 12% in Naira is very risky. In that 10 years, Naira could have devalued by up to 80%. However, if its a short term investment of 2-3 years, one can risk it in Naira cos the interest rates in NGN (12-15%), is much better than USD (1-4%) |
yemmit90:I tell you! If you give 100 Nigerians N200, 000k to hold for you for 1 week, 98 will tell you story after that 1 week. |
Was not surprised Efe lost. His style is too dependent on the power of his right hand. He's too stiff a d had little to no footwork. I knew the moment he met a good technical boxer he'd lose. But with a lot more training and practice, he can still improve significantly. Same thing with Efe Apochi. |
Why does Lagos Ibadan line need 1000 people How many people are an the train at any given time. Max 2 is drivers and 5 attendants. When with maintenance staff I still struggle with 1000 staff |
LegendaryLover:Good question! |
JavaScript90:. Is a second hand benz from like 7 years ago. Why can't he afford it? The car won't be more than. N7M |
grandstar:When you see better school, e go sweet you. |
EBMedia:Waste of time!! What may be more useful is that they run for either House of Reps or Senate. That may be easier to win. And then they can make a difference in NASS. |
proeast:Which video have you seen? Even this article says there was video, yet I see no video here o it is Nairaland. |
NwekeUG:The guy should die already and let's move on. After all, we will all eventually meet the same fate. |
unitysheart:Lekki Epe is still as good as it it today because of the toll collected. At least they typically do not allow small potholes to degenerate before fixing them. If not for the toll, Lekki Epe would have fallen apart by now considering the high volume of traffic on that road. It's because they toll it, that's why LASG at least tries to respond to it very quickly. that is the responsibility that tolling brings. I would rather drive on a smooth and perfectly managed Lagos- Benin, or Ibadan Ilorin expressway and pay toll, than not pay toll and drive on a death trap. |
kidap:Why did it have to get to this stage in the first place? |
TheSTreetman:Abi o. Both this and Sultan of Sokoto palace do not deserve to be on this list. However, we'd better remove the entire list from the internet, before some State Governors start to get ideas from seeing this. Next thing you know, you see a line for N100bln in 2022 budget for State House reconstruction. |
And besides, once this road is completed, LASG should immediately begin to plan for a Coastal road as well so that say by 2025, there will be at least 3 parallel roads of similar capacity to take people from Ajah axis to VI, Marina. And in fact, beyond roads, a train system would be very welcome to that axis. |
Lanrelagboi:I really hope that the design of this road has been well thought through? Unfortunately, knowing Nigeria, it will not have. A factor that causes so much issue for the existing Lekki Epe expressway is the absence of flyovers, with proper exit and entry lane. While the effort to re-design the road from roundabout to junctions made some sense, it was not the most optimal because the traffic flow of that axis is too heavy even for junctions with traffic lights. At the minimum, there should have been a flyover at 2nd (Marwa) round about, 4th Roundabout at Ikate, Igbo Efon, VGC and then the Ajah one. This would have allowed for much freer flow of traffic. |
Omooba77:Why won't billions be expended? I hope you know N1bln is only $2mln!! N10bln is only $20mln. Besides the road will be more expensive than normal because of the swampy and non solid nature of soil in that axis (a LOT of sand filling and compaction will be required - its not the same as building a road in Oyo state on firm, dry ground). Also because the fact that the construction is in a built up area, logistics will be difficult and safety and environmental measures have to be put in place much more than a road construction in the middle of nowhere. I am not saying it might not be overinflated, or that there will not be corruption, but just trying to balance it for you. |
udele1:He might have been killed by normal armed robbers. The use of 'gun men' may just be an attempt to sensationalize this news. |
maxtop:How exactly is 4th Mainland bridge the solution? A bridge that goes from Ajah to Ikorodu...how does that help anyone in the Apapa, Festac, Ijora, Amuwo Odofin axis of Lagos? |
lalajnr:We have been hearing this same thing for the past 10years!! |
