Its about the ricochet effect that it will have on the already struggling masses! Same as whatever increment of fuel price they are proposing. Those guys do not know how to manage funds. They are not accountable. What have they done with all the billions that was at their disposal that the next 'solution' to Nigeria's problems lies in this so called 5n they want to impose on soft drinks? Mr white man that has refused to howl, probably if we had been howling sooner, the situation would not have deteriorated so far. A little accountability on what has been done with past revenues so we don't keep pouring our resources in a leaking basket!

LPG is not 'manufactured' as you put it, but obtained from processing natural gas by liquefaction and separation. And, lets not be deceived, Nigeria actually exports LPG, while at the same time importing to augment local supply in a manner that defies logic!
Finally, gas price including lpg surged globally in 2021 no doubt, but no one should be decieved into believing that there is nothing the federal government can do to make the product a bit more affordable for Nigerians, especially considering it is a product produced locally.

I just hope this is not true at all.. People are already going through worst times,the labour market is already over saturated, inflation everywhere. How will families cope.. More job losses, more hardship.. Buhari government is indeed a curse to most Nigerians.

I feel super irritated whenever I hear the name NNPC. That place is nothing but a fortress of mindless corruption and grand larceny.

If this country is incapable of running a state owned oil corporation as do Russia and the big players in the MidEast, they should scrap the damn thing or privatize it.
To this day, it beats me why privatization hasn't worked with NEPA, NNPC and other such state owned businesses as it did telecoms.

Something is definitely wrong somewhere.

Manufacturing doesn't need thought or intelligence at the lowest point (which is what they are bringing to Africa). Design thinking will surely remain in China.
From his theory, the average Nigerian will have an underpaying labour intensive job, but for starters it will be a job.
We have a 33.3% unemployment rate and hopefully with many youths employed (sub optimally) they will be able to afford just the basic necessities of life.

Even if Naira drops to N4000/$, I will continue to believe in this country because I can see what's coming. The wise are heavily investing in Nigeria while the weak are looking for how to go abroad. The whole world is tired of China, they are looking for cheap labor, Nigeria is the next China. We have the population, the youth and the literacy level to be the next manufacturing power. Plus, several countries that benefited from slavery (U.S, UK, Spain and Portugal) have proposed ways to pay back Africans for all the abuse, exploitations throughout our history. There is a conscious effort to make Africa the next industrial hub. Those lacking foresight won't see this, they only see the now and not the later. Ignore the noise and look for a small factory you can start; In the next 5yrs all the big multinational companies like Amazon, Walmart and co will be pouring billions into our infrastructure just to enable us to manufacture goods for them. So many people will miss this boat, but you are hearing this now, act on it.

Why and how is Julius Berger and CCECC responsible for over 99.9% of all state and federal construction works in Nigeria? This monopoly is insane and is one of the major factors for construction project delays - how do you expect the construction company to deliver projects on time when they're working on a thousand federal roads at the same time?

There are reputable Dutch and Belgian construction giants that would rival the quality of Julius Berger and CCECC for half the money and time - Imagine abandoned road and bridge projects everywhere in Nigeria (especially in Ogun State) because these companies have to shift workers and machinery everywhere
