Tinubu is a multibillionaire in dollars

As a major shareholder in Oando, INTELS, ALPHA BETA, TVC , Hotel Continental , Remita and other businesses

He as invested in every corner of our economy and it's paying him than the people who take money abroad to hide

.
When did he work in all these places as Partner?? The only confirmed place we know he worked was as Treasurer of Exxon in Nigeria and he left there over 30years ago to do politics, considering he was part of NADECO post June 12. Assuming he's 70now, so he left Exxon early 40's or so. When was he then partner in PWC, Anderson and Deloitte? In those days you'd have to be very experienced to be Partner there.

SportsRe: Football Fans Reacts To Nigeria Vs Egypt Match by COMPAQ(m): 12:13pm On Jan 12, 2022
The match was okay, but I didn’t think it was as good as many people are saying. It was quite scrappy, lots of ball turnovers and such. Maybe that was due to the pitch, cos even though it was lush green, it was still a bit bouncy.

Also decision making by super eagles upfront needs to improve. We shoot wildly when with a bit of patience we can find an open team mate. I guess with consistent training the team will improve their control of the ball. But then, so will everyone else.

Even the money recovered, no bi everything recovered dem they post. Even the ones they post, lion share sometimes dey go like Solomon Grundy.

This is a case of re-looting the loot.

It goes to Consolidated Revenue Fund and re-shared at monthly FAAC meeting

Of all the individuals vying for the office of the president come 2023, osinbajo fits more.. hearty, energetic, intelligent and seems a lot more vision driven than everyone else. Voting for tinubu is just nigerians recycling back buhari. His comments on young nigerians joining the army and eating corn pinpoints the fact that he has no clue on how to resolve the challenges faced and the fact that he lacks empathy. Will he allow his kids to go through that?. We haven't even spoken of his health. Seeing comments of people supporting tinubu's presidential bid when there are other hale, passionate & intelligent candidates like osinbajo, makinde, zullum, obi ekwesili, and donald duke is surprising and shows we haven't learnt our lesson. No doubt he paid his dues in lagos state, nigeria is currently in economic woes, different from his time & age has started telling on him. If you are unhappy about the current trajectory of nigeria, whatever legal means you can exploit to leave this country, please take it, cause come 2023 don't be surprised to see tinubu instated as president. Its almost like lots of nigerians love suffering & dont want better future for their kids. They just never learn..
Unfortunately, elections in Nigeria are won by the illiterate masses. Your logic and capacity to think as displayed in your write up is totally lost on them - particularly those ones up North!!

Who among them do you think North will support more? Give reasons

Myn44 please do the needful
Not the best options available to Nigeria, but I'd choose Bola Tinubu any day. He has a far better sense of business than Goodluck and that's what we need now to get the economy moving FDI increased and people employed.

Besides Goodluck has been tested before and he failed woefully. What else can he do differently now? He will come there and fail again, despite seeing how he failed now that he's been out of government for a while.

Four modern markets with 3,200 shops built by Gov. Mala Buni.

The Yobe modern markets initiated by Gov. Mai Mala Buni in 2019 aimed at creating jobs, improving revenue generation and stabilising economy at large.

The markets are spread across Potiskum, Damaturu, Nguru and Gashua towns respectively.

1. Damaturu modern market ( 800 shops, 28 stores, police station, parking slot, dumping sites, road network, fire fighing unit, admin block, etc)

2. Gashua modern market (800 shops, 28 stores, police station, parking slot, dumping sites, road network, fire fighing unit, admin block, etc)

3. Nguru modern market (800 shops, 28 stores, police station, parking slot, dumping sites, road network, fire fighing unit, admin block, etc)

4. Potiskum modern market ( 800 shops, 28 stores, police station, parking slot, dumping sites, road network, fire fighing unit, admin block, etc)

Simple but very functional design!!

Note sure there is anything like this in Lagos metropolis other than maybe Tejuosho.
We need a bit of modernity in our markets. If rain catches you in Jakande market, it's so disgusting how everywhere turns to roforofo. And most local markets are like that. It's about time we improved our local market experience.

You tried to sound intelligent and enlightened but you didn't quite pull it off. If you think this is about any 5n or no 5n then you are not seeing the bigger picture. Its about the ricochet effect that it will have on the already struggling masses! Same as whatever increment of fuel price they are proposing. Those guys do not know how to manage funds. They are not accountable. What have they done with all the billions that was at their disposal that the next 'solution' to Nigeria's problems lies in this so called 5n they want to impose on soft drinks? Mr white man that has refused to howl, probably if we had been howling sooner, the situation would not have deteriorated so far. A little accountability on what has been done with past revenues so we don't keep pouring our resources in a leaking basket!
So your issue should be with accountability not the tax. They are two distinct issues.

When things is not right it's not right. And if u still think it not Buhari fault May God punish una because no b only gas de cost for Nigeria. Infact every dam thing cost drastically.
Dude in July 2020 petrol in Houston US was $1.55per gallon. Then crude prices had fallen to about $20. In late 2021 it went as high as $3.05 (97% increase) due to crude prices hitting $80.

In Nigeria we went from N145 To N125 ba? Then back up to N164, which is 31%increase.

Tpharell:
LPG is not 'manufactured' as you put it, but obtained from processing natural gas by liquefaction and separation. And, lets not be deceived, Nigeria actually exports LPG, while at the same time importing to augment local supply in a manner that defies logic!
Finally, gas price including lpg surged globally in 2021 no doubt, but no one should be decieved into believing that there is nothing the federal government can do to make the product a bit more affordable for Nigerians, especially considering it is a product produced locally.
Dude there is a difference between LPG and LNG, however subtle. We export LNG but not LPG. NLNG plant in Bonny produces some LPG, but insufficient for local demand. The rest is imported. And that imported bit is what has been affected by sharp increase in has prices in 2021. NLNG company in Bonny was never set up to produce LPG. No matter the volume of gas that passes through NLNG, if they never had the capacity for LPG, then so be it.

Today, the man is celebrated all over the world.
Which nonsense celebrated all over the world. Abeg Park well! Jonathan and his PDP were just as incompetent and corrupt as Buhari and his APC.

The reality is that government has little to do directly with gas prices. As anyone who reads international news will know Europe has a huge gas crisis for most of 2021 and gas prices spiked in Europe significantly.

Since a good portion of our LPG is imported, coupled with deregulation it compounded the price locally. Once winter in Europe passes, the gas prices will trend downwards and that is what you are beginning to see in the price now.

I know times are hard and the high cost of LPG is biting the pocket, but that should not stop us from proper understanding of the dynamics of pricing and making educated and reasoned comments here.
PoliticsRe: NLC Rejects New Tax On Carbonate Drinks Says It Will Cause Mass Hunger, Hardship by COMPAQ(m): 2:39pm On Jan 08, 2022
Not sure what the fuss is all about. NLC should go and sit down. The duty is N10 per liter. So for the typical 33cl which most of us drink, that is additional N3.

I don't think additional N3 or even N10 will stop a decision to buy a soft drink. It's not like we all drink a coke every day.

Good idea by the LASG to concession it out. I am a firm believer that government assets such as Airports, Stadiums, National Theater, Parks, etc should be concessioned or fully privatized. Capacity of private sector vs government to manage is like night and day.

Take MM2 and MMIA as an example. MM2 has arguably got better in the time it was built to now cos they have added some new features. The same cannot be same of MMIA that continually looks shabby, overcrowded, dirty and depressing. If I had a choice, I'd prefer to take an international flight from MM2 rather than MMIA.

Back to Glover Hall, Olu Jacobs company can do theatre shows there on some weekend, while on other weekends they can rent out for weddings ( I actually had my wedding reception there like 13 years ago). They should enter into agreements for some multi story carparks in the vicinity for parking arrangements and get police cover when they have activities there cos of area boys and don't be surprised that they will be smiling to the bank.

But really, for what we pay as school fees, where does the money to pay people to clean it, provide the cleaning products regularly come from? We are getting the N50k per session education that we pay for. In Nigeria of today, if anyone thinks N50k per student for 12 months can keep a whole University running, then something is wrong upstairs. And many FG universities probably don't charge up to that.

There is no magic to these things. Its costs money that is not there

To prove me wrong, someone should show me toilets from Covenant University that are in similar state

Tough decision, but the right one! Nigeria's civil service is grossly overstaffed, with many of them doing little to nothing. Technology and computers have made it possible to do with much less people. Can you imagine the number of secretaries still in civil service, when in most private companies secretaries are almost extinct, since you can type by yourself on laptops and send to printer or scan in a jiffy. Too much of government work is paper pushing , file carrying and is not productive and is archaic!!

I feel super irritated whenever I hear the name NNPC. That place is nothing but a fortress of mindless corruption and grand larceny.

If this country is incapable of running a state owned oil corporation as do Russia and the big players in the MidEast, they should scrap the damn thing or privatize it.
To this day, it beats me why privatization hasn't worked with NEPA, NNPC and other such state owned businesses as it did telecoms.

Something is definitely wrong somewhere.
NNPC hadn't been privatised before now, so why wondering why it hadn't worked??

Nepa is a peculiar case because transmission is messed up, energy theft is massive, tariffs are not cost reflective etc.

You'll be surprised what a man can do when he finally has proper executive power!! It's not about making noise. There is a way a quiet man with executive power will look at you and quietly give you order and you will know that if it's not 100% complied with, he will sack you the following day or remove you from that post straightaway. By the time he does that to a few people, everybody around him will sit up.
