@Centino I think the two women went to meet Mama Willy Willy. Do check to correct. Minor typos elsewhere still had meaning, but error above was confusing. Great story, you OK? Something changed awhile ago. Characters dipped somehow.... |
@juliusocean There's nothing about it you can't get online. Basically, you pulp/shred sorted waste paper or virgin pulp to fibre-in-solution, then de-ink and bleach (waste paper only) by chemical action. Using a crescent former is now almost standard, with a large diameter dryer. That's it, basically. |
alsudan:There's no reference to those claims anymore. Now, the project was "awarded during the previous administration". Between that time and the "mobilisation in August" is another period of silence. |
For those who read the post, the LOVE OF MONEY is what the Bible says is the root of all evil. Not money. I believe the difference is self-explanatory. |

How to make tissue paper industrially? I have some experience in that. You begin from either sorted waste paper (as recycled) or LF/SF (Long Fibre/ Short Fibre) Pulp. |
There's the Toyota Celica, too. |
May I share my experience...? I gave my car out to a couple getting married. Upon receipt of the car, I noticed that the reverse gear makes a gurgling sound when engaged. Never happened before. I kept driving, then noticed engine was beginning to overheat. I forced vehicle into side road and inspected engine. I had boiling water in the water reservoir. I waited for it to cool and then drove home. Started engine and noticed a leak from one of the 1/2 inch hoses. I bought hose-clips that screwed tight, not the press-and-release kind I had. I replaced clips, opened radiator cap and found a shocker. Water level was not in sight! I couldn't understand why my reservoir had water and the radiator was semi-dry. Oh, by the way, I use the A/C regularly. I topped-up radiator and checked cooling fan relay (I learnt to keep a spare after reading Ikenna351's Peugeot journey long ago). Cooling fan relay was hot, burnt. I replaced relay. Car was okay for short journeys, but I noticed my reservoir was emptying out, which was unusual. I drove to Ogbomosho, A/C on. Going was smooth. Leaving the event, I topped-up both radiator and reservoir and set off. About an hour in, noticed temperature needle rising (A/C had suddenly started blowing warm air, which caught my attention). I parked, topped-up with coolant and replaced another burnt relay. Completed journey without A/C. Then noticed my battery terminal was shaking when I switch off in traffic, as I had to knock it to start. Got home and reached GAZZUZZ next day. He recommended I replaced pressure cap. I also tightened the loose bolts that clamp the wires (not the ones that hold the leads to the battery terminal). Problem stopped. Knowing myself, I'll likely plan another FAR trip to be very sure. I like having confidence in my v6 Accord. |
@adanny01 I like your improvisation! I remember that one technician broke some small plastic that controlled the central lock while working on my rear power window once. @kcbaba007. Care should be taken not to force things one isn't very conversant with. ![]() |
Like a dog sniffing, something's wrong. |
Welcome back, ONNYX. Thank you! On skid-mounted industrial gas tanks, getting a delivery truck that will either fill-up or switch tank requires trailer space. I am working with technically-minded friends, so generating problems and throwing them up is easy... ![]() These are the kind of project assignments that Engineering students should cut their teeth on! ![]() |
Thank you, ONNYX. How did you plan running with the strike? You stocked-up diesel? For power consideration, I prefer gas tanks (and a gas gen). Cost induces hesitation. @4tunebest: Would you like to enrich this thread with pictures of what you want to sell? Have you updated with your location? @dbynonetwork: Pictures? |
To increase based on the present salary scale might not be possible without borrowing (since crude oil prices aren't rising). N30,000 with present scale is also faulty. The gap between structured and unstructured pay can yield a hefty sum! The ideal will be to keep total wage budget, but re-work salary scale and structure. More than a few civil servants are "favoured" out-of-scale. An orange can be shared to six or sixty parts. Same orange. I believe that N30,000 is DESERVED, so the result should be worked TO the question. The question is, what salary scale gives us N30,000 minimum? Then, will the hefty differential sum be enough? My opinion on the second question is "yes". |
mrvitalis:Hahaha. OK. I understand you. |
mrvitalis:We don't agree. The proposed increase from N18,000 to N22,500 will not float down from the sky. Increase can go up to N30,000 IF National Assy salaries are included properly into the civil service scale. Executive also. The Judiciary scale is a lot closer to the civil service. Within a cadre of that "Federal workers" you typed up there, there should be redistribution. Within that "National Assembly" you typed up there, there should be redistribution. |
mrvitalis:No, bro. Review downwards till ¬N830,000 (total) for Senators + legislators and Executive and the Federal Government WILL be able to pay N30,000 as minimum (scaling up those in-between, too). The phrase "political will" was used against the last administration. Much remains to be seen. The idea that crude oil prices must increase isn't correct. |
mrvitalis:I just had to quote you. There is a real need for salary restructuring to enable minimum wage to be increased. The sitting allowance of Senators is in millions, so is their total pension. Do not add their wardrobe allowance just yet. I will skip cars and housing bought for by taxpayers. These days many States have even passed laws for an increase in spending for ex government officials (to include a home, one or two cars, gardening and housekeeping staff). Just for the Legislature. The Executive (State and Federal) is another matter entirely. Add contracts and non-reporting/ non-remitting of accruable funds. Local Governments too are not investing in revenue GENERATION. Every facet of the government is seeking more taxes, chasing those not in the tax bracket, etc. MOBILISING revenue. How many own fish ponds or operate anything? They instead focus on "empowering" more young men and women with various uniforms to collect a percentage from those who really INVEST. The minimum wage of N30,000 should be paid. It is a shame that some States that collected second helpings of the Federal Government largesse for the very purpose of salary payment still did NOT make payment. It would appear that there will ALWAYS be a reason not to increase the minimum wage. |
So, Emmaak, how much have you spent so far? |
Same government insists on original copies, even gazzette of employment vacancies for civil servant pensioners from thirty years ago. If they submitted their originals or photocopies to the respective Ministries and have no proof now, will that help their pension verification? The Army is under the Ministry of Defence. |
As with the "Apo 6" killings of 2006, the inability to serve justice will result in promotions for the officers involved (depending on their connections). It is high time EVERYONE with the wherewithal ensures justice for ANYONE. |
I suspect it's Agbonyibo vs. Mama Akunna. I just don't know where his wife and daughter fit... ![]() |
@Jaradz I pushed some of these vacancies to my church's youth platform. Got a concerned call reporting a male job contact calling a female applicant well after office hours. 6pm, in this case. Stated he'd still call later on, same day. I couldn't defend it. I just tried your number, got transferred and call was terminated. Please upgrade your tracebacks on these job vacancies... |
@ONNYX Thank you very much. @Ruby12 How old is this bakery? |
Is that a pack of cigarettes in front of the driver's seat and a can of diesel behind same seat? In how many ways must vehicle be un-roadworthy before it is pulled off? ![]() |
Hello everyone! @ONNYX Well done! I asked earlier if you had any experience with Nigerian-fabricated breadmaking equipment. Do you? I've also been trying to dig into integrated utilities on this project. Costs will reduce if Pinch technology can be achieved. Equipment cost, Utilities (Power, Heating/Cooling) and Land Use are my target, in that order. Like I understood initially, picking up just one section and diving into it, is a great start. Didn't know ice was an everyday bakery need. Thank you! I hope I can share some of my findings on equipment as you continue? |
As I read the story, I wanted to ask how one can sue for the same amount as the fine+punitive, if the error were to be from them. I hadn't read much after that thought before I discovered that I was not to be disappointed. So it now falls on the private car owner to repeat visit to collect correct documentation from people who visited at his house address to impose a fine? I would prefer the goverment starts on its own vehicles, then buses, before private cars. So much more safety benefit that way! |
Onicha mmili m! Ife eji abu Onicha erika! |
Thank you for your response, ONNYX. You answered my product transport concern. A lot of financiers and engineers are already on this thread, I believe. Please I have another question: Do you have any experience with locally-produced breadmaking equipment? I reached friends at NASENI/SEDI, Enugu (he's now at Abuja) and FIIRO, Lagos and they both say they have versatile kiln designs. (Designed, fabricated/ machined and tested locally, completed with Technical Sheet and SOPs). I have actually eaten sample bread baked at FIIRO at one of our NSChE meetings. NASENI website appears to have a problem, but FIIRO's is up. http://www.fiiro.org/ |
Happy Independence Day to everyone. @ONNYX I'm going through your posts, re-drawing the set up and listing equipment specifications (energy demand only, as you haven't stated anything about jacketed vessels or external cooling). It helps that you're stating which is necessary and which is advantageous, though I'm still not sure what can actually be bypassed. In all (and I apologise ahead for this), I'm already totalling cost. I have a question...is manual, open-air transfer of material between stages possible/the low-cost practice until oven-baking? |
Hello roscong, Are the prices listed anywhere on the Lotus website? |
@sooperrescue This is another one to test. Help save the driving masses from spending wrongly. |
@ONNYX Hahaha! Good guess, anyway. I have a Chemical Engineering first degree and a Process Systems second degree. I also think there are a lot of Process Engineers in-country. I did train in the U.K., but came back to take my COREN & NSE exams. If the company you spoke about had passed that vacancy to the COREN/ NSE or NSChE local chapter, I'm sure applications would have flooded in. Also true, I ran to the Oil and Gas + Petrochemical for years, but I am now in manufacturing. I prefer it. I'm looking to end-up in agri-processing or something close. Back to topic, can I suggest you mention a little about how the product is moved between stages? It is not fluid. It also needs consistency, pH and temperature monitoring. Those are costly sensors and transmitters. I was glad you mentioned that only 20people could run a massive plant. That Control System must be highly developed. In Nigeria, one must factor in a power plant to enable transport of material between stages, provide heat and running water (+water treatment). Then plan for waste disposal. The cost for just the load-bearing structures of the above will leave you at the mercy of a steep Bank loan. That's why I'm so interested in your expose` on how MSMEs can deliver a good profit. |
@ONNYX Thank you! I also came to learn. I volunteer to make a PFD from ONNYX's comments, as well.
